“ This was the most awesome find on one Sunday morning when I typed in a search in my computer:) It was like a castle tucked away in the large buildings of Toronto. I had found out that the original part of the house/hotel was owned by the famous Ernst Hemingway. ”

Old style buiding rather than the modern multistory tower block style. Was not too keen on the area.

-close to Subway Station -quiet hotel -breakfast included -very clean and modern bathroom -stairs only to entrance: I use a walker and needed someone to lift it up the stairs as the hotel did not have a ramp.

Reasonable price Hotel is in need of being refurbished. Our room was up to date but someone had "fixed" the toilet paper holder by hammering a piece of wood to the all and then screwing on the holder (really??). Everying was a little odd and I wouldn't rebook this hotel.

Great quiet 427 corner room. Zen atmosphere with design and decor. Mansion elements with elevator grill door and stained glass in main stair case The lack of a separate heater in the bathroom is the only thing which I mention

I liked the location Here is my complain: The receptionist was quite stressed that day, unfriendly and suspicious (prejudices?). He said that I had to pay 50 Canadian dollar deposit on top of the room price (that has been refunded at my check-out) because he said it was the policy of Booking.com. I told him that in the past I have done some reservations with Booking.com and no deposit has ever been requested before.Besides I had initially booked a room with 2 twin beds. We were given a room in the basement that was dark and cold. When I came back to complain the finally gave us a king size bedroom on the 4th floor. The breakfast was average/good. I will not go back to that hotel.

We weren't quite sure what to expect as we had booked online, but when we saw our room we were delighted. It was clean and newly decorated, not to large but perfect for our needs. We loved the elevator with the grill! The staff was friendly and helpful and the subway was right across the street.

cool old building, very unique and different with modern touches inside. good breakfast, great staff, they were friendly and wanted to help. bad area.! but you cant do much about that. what you could do is pickup the facility to make up for it. it looks like it started off as a great place and has degraded a bit, keep up on the maintenance.!!! ice machine was broken, water leaks from shower onto carpet outside door, etc. bathroom needs a bench or chair in it, again, you could overcome the bad area with just a little attention to the details inside and get 4 of 5 stars for sure. place has great potential, just keep up on it.! good luck.

The room was very clean and it has good value for money. The internet services and signal works really great The room was really confortable If you don't care to be at the city center of Toronto is a good option The staff at the front desk was not nice as they could be in several occasions. Nevertheless, the one who attended us really early in the morning when we left was really nice and helpful. The noise that we have heard from other rooms was not nice. We could hear people from the upper floor walking really early in the morning and as well as couples having sex. Therefore, we do not recommend for families with kids.

After we upgraded we were very happy. The 'Executive Suite' was renovated and comfortable. Staff and location was great. We booked a Queen Room based on the pictures that accompanied the booking site. When we arrived we were given a room that was of a much lower quality (older and rough). I upgraded and paid an extra $25 a night. Purchase the excutive room! I felt it was false advertising. This is the first time I've come across thie problem.

The outside is extremely old, it has one of those old style elevators where you have to pull it closed yourself, but don't be fooled, the rooms are very modern and extremely clean and comfortable, breakfast was pretty good and train station just a couple mins walk. Perfect location. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Nothing

only the location I don't think the room was throuthly cleaned! there is an open soap bar in the shower from last customer, the hair dryer is dirty, big jelly like stain near toilet stool, my husband find 2 hair on the bed and it is guaranteed human hair!!! i have never lived in a small "exclusive king room" like this ! !! we are very disappointed and will never live there again
