“Excellent price. It's not luxury but I don't know why it should be 2 star. I would rate it as a good 3 star. Room was clean and stylish. Wireless internet, coffee, iron, cable tv, good heating, nice en-suite, adequate breakfast. And 10 mins from Bloor and Yonge.”

We were really impressed with the Old house that made up the front of the hotel, the quality design, look and fixtures inside the hotel. We loved the business center. The couple things that we didn't have were provided to us. There was nothing else we expected from our hotel that was lacking! We were super impressed with two things! 1. We were given a king room, when we booked the queen. Very decent and human of the staff. 2. We we allowed to extend our stay at the same rate, even though is had gone up by some $25 on booking.com. These are those extra little things that really make you happy with the hotel you have chosen to stay at. Keep on truckin. Breakfast could be better. That had a very nice selection of basics, but the eggs could be warm, the cereal could be better, the waffles could not be of the lowest quality etc. Fresh fruit meant apples, although fruit in this way is singular it usually is thought to be plural. I ate happy don't get me wrong, but there is room for improvement. The main complaint is the heating of the building. As far as we could tell the only way to heat the room was through the personal heater. There are several problems: it would overheat the room if left on and be very noisy, but left off you are frozen when you wake up. Maybe a quieter model with a thermostat? Finally, it also could have been sealed into the wall properly! I know this is a common hotel problem but there is room for improvement.

Location Our room was okay, clean and tidy although very basic. The hotel itself was very shabby, there was a musty smell as you walked into the lobby and there was what looked like a homeless man laying on the sofa in the lobby. It seemed more like a dosshouse than a tourist hotel. But at the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you want to stay in a nice place don't stay here.

We had a lovely clean and spacious room. The breakfast buffet had a good selection to get you started for the day. Coming from Ireland we thought that meals would be available in the hotel throughout theday if you wished, we learned that this is not the way in most if not all Canadian Hotels due to the many eaterys in the area. It is within walking distance from Yonge street, Hockey Hall of Fame, (cn Tower and Rogers Stadium are twenty five minute walk). We did not mind the walk as we where in and out of shops all the way there. Our stay was most enjoyable and would recommend the hotel.

I loved the fact that it was a mansion and had history and character, The suite have lots of character and the Gooderman suite ( the one we stayed in) was very spacious. We stayed there for 5 days and the breakfast was exactly the same every day. It would have been nice to ahve something a it different each day. That was a bit boring. The aircondioning went on and off on its own.

Clean, comfortable compact Very good Wi-Fi do not expect too much from breakfast, too pretentious . It should be 10 dollar less per day without breakfast for not to raise expectations, and thus guests leave more satisfied of value for money.

Location is great. Neighborhood is not the best, but the subway is nearby which makes up the negatives.

Very friendly staff. I'd managed to book myself in one month wrong, but that was easily taken care of. Room was good, with a comfy bed and nice bath. The breakfast should have more healthy choices.

The staff were so friendly and obliging. The bed was good, no noisy plumbing like other, especially newer, hotels, and linens were better than a Howard Johnson for instance. A pretty good bkfst for the money - good coffee. Thank you/

Location: subway diagonally-across the street; within walking distance to Toronto's luxe shopping district; parking on-site. I stayed in the 130-year old mansion part of the hotel: my room had been very tastefully upgraded (modern) yet the hallways & old elevator reflected days of yore, which I enjoyed. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

We chose it for the location, near to restaurants and the subway. Our room, and the hotel generally, was a bit 'worn'. Although it is an old house, and we like that, it is in need of repairs and cosmetic improvement. Bathroom was very cold.

Well the real reason I chose the Clarion was they were offering a suite with a real fireplace and that was it. Spending a romantic evening beside a roaring fire was most comforting and blissful. Rest assured I shall come back sometime soon.

We stayed in one of the renovated rooms which was really nice. The room was a little cold on arrival but it was equipped with a small heater that worked very quickly. The hotel itself is definitely different than most others that I have stayed in. It's small and actually very unique looking. The stay included breakfast, which consisted of toast, english muffins, biscuits, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, juice basically a good amount of food! Also the staff was extremely helpful. The only negative things that I can say is that some parts of the hallways smelled a little strange but but our room didn't so it wasn't much of a problem. Also, the fitness room is very basic so I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel if you are very intent on using the fitness room.

for where we were going, it was about 20 minutes to each place by cab, but that is just cause we dont know toronto and where these places were. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable. Staff were nice, helpful. Nice breakfast included. I would stay there again if going to Toronto The elevator was a little scary.

The renovated rooms are good when the sale is on. The regular price does not make sense at all. The location was very convenient. Breakfast is good when you stay just for one night. When it gets a bit longer there are not many choice.
