Bathroom very small
Had a problem with dirty bathroom, complained and they only cleaned up part of the mess. Also mistakes with breakfast order and it was very slow.
I just stayed in a Delta in WINNIPEG and it was excellent hotel with great Value. For a third more I stayed at a dated property at the Calgary Delta south. No comparison. It just seems that just because it's Calgary it gives you the right to charge a higher rate for a soso hotel. We have stayed at this hotel several times now usually with our kids at a fair rate but no more. I have had better showers at a Motel 6. I also entered the restaurant bar called Boommtown at 9:40 pm on Sunday night and was rejected service as they said they were closed at 10. I had just finished a 12 hour work day and it was cold and I had just wanted a quick bite and a drink and didn't want to drive to another location and then back to the hotel. Over all I very disappointed with the value received.
From the time we called to confirm and was booked into a room poolside for my son's Birthday to check in and our departure we were treated with smiles and respect! Customer Care is alive and well at Delta South!
My wife was having a serious eye surgery--and this location was ideal not only to the hospital but to the doctors office
What gave our stay disappointing conclusion was the delta hotel not honoring the room price---Sunday night was the agreed rate of 139.00--however the Monday night rate was 169.00.Perhaps Booking .Com doesn't understand Delta's policy of changing their rates to take advantage of demand--or--Delta is not willing to honor the rate which was originally agreed upon?? Given that everything about the hotel was good--this seemingly small thing would not allow me to recommend this hotel again.

That when I happened to be unlucky enough to need a room the same weekend that the international oil show is going on. Your hotel gouged the average person, who doesn't have an oil company credit card, by over charging for your rooms. They're nice but $500 - $700 for a night for one person in a standard room. Well?
Melita and Olivia were excellent housekeepers. Daniel was very helpful in telling me what was available. Desk staff were also very helpful. Also over in the other area where the computer was a staff member there helped me to print out boarding passes.
Would have been nice to have more information about what was on on TV on a given evening.

Booked a delux room and required crib for infant. Was a little cramped. Atrium pool was a little cool

Staff were so friendly! Especially at check in. The lady was very sweet to my 6yr old son.
There must have been a party - it was incredibly loud in the hall between 11-1am. It woke me and my son up a few times. In the AM, The buffet food was low and 90% of the choices needed to be replenished. It was disappointing. (Ex: No cheese, no scrambled eggs, the fruit was SO picked over there were only tiny pieces left, etc)
Everything really the buffet brunch is fantastic kids loved the slide and all in all its a great place to stay!
Way overpriced for an hotel that needs renovation. Our group of 5 had rooms in two different buildings.
Included in our room rate was the VIP club room. This gave us breakfast every morning, which is a good start to the day and unlimited access to their coffee machine.
The big pool was great, my 3 yr old loved the slide. Awesome that they have two pools as well. Staff was excellent; we weren't satisfied with our room after the first night so the man at the desk got us a new room while we were out that day and had our luggage moved into the new room when we got back! (We knew it was happening so suitcases were packed up and waiting for him)
We got in late Saturday night and they put us on the first floor right beside the breakfast area, it was insanely loud in the morning. I was woken up at 730 to the sound of dishes and could hear the whole conversation from the table that was about 4 feet from my bed. Also I'd put on the reservation that we had children (3,13) but they put us in a handicapped room without a tub to bath my 3 year old. Sunday brunch that I was woken up to was also REALLY expensive, so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The "complimentary" snacks/appetizers on the 3rd floor were pitiful as well. Dried out cheese and fruit. Pointless service in my opinion.
Unfortunately the room was "UPGRADED" to a 'shower only' room without prior NOTICE to guest! Because the room was changed on a busy long weekend the quest did not ask to change again! In future I will ensure there is a comment on the booking NOT TO UPGRADE!!
