Lobby gathering for cocktails was a nice addition Accommodations were very nice Breakfast was also great
No vending or ice machines on each floor A bit of an inconvenience
I liked the cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of staff, breakfast available in the hotel, and the location of the hotel near the citadel and quite near the waterfront in Halifax.
I got almost no sleep one night of the four I stayed there. The other three nights were good. I discovered the next day that there had been two bachelor parties taking place near my room the previous night. I did not call the front desk to complain because I didn't know if it would make a difference and the staff were prepared to do something about it.I would prefer that the hotel staff warn partiers that the staff will be monitoring the halls around room parties closely and then ask them to be much more considerate if there are problems. Staff know these parties are taking place so they should try to prevent the noise rather than expect guests either to endure it or complain.
Staff was very helpful. Hotel is in a good location!
The breakfast didn't have much options.
Rooms are spacious and good quality breakfast is included. Location is perfect and parking right in front of hotel.
The room was very large and lovely
paying for parking
Loved the rooftop patio! Loved the hot tub! Loved the breakfast buffet!
The price was way out of my price line so probably won't happen again for me. Pillows way too big for us. Lack of concern when I was ill/didn't want to call an ambulance. Never checked after to see if we were okay....very disappointing!
The hotel is located besides Citadel, close to different parks and few blocks away from Halifax downtown. I and my family arrived in the hotel at 11 PM after a day long trip and the staff was very helpful in getting the rooms ready.
In spite of renovated rooms with new decor, the hotel is getting old. My other experience in Halifax was with Best Western Chocolate Lake, and I recommend it because is newer, looks cleaner and has a great view.
Everthing was great, breakfast was very good, rooms very comfortable, I would rec'mnd to all.
Very nice suite. On site restaurant was important for me. Enjoyed the meal I had there.
Very helpful desk staff. I asked for a restaurant for a late meal and advice given was spot on. Room immaculate and great size. Comfy beds. Situation was ideal the Citadel a short walk away and also public gardens a short walk away. An easy walk to the boardwalk.
Park and walk to Public Gardens or the the great Farmers Market on the waterfront. Great convenient location.
Location is very good. Hotel has a big underground parking at a reasonable cost. Rooms are large and clean. Staff is very friendly and polite.
We loved this hotel. When we arrived, the manager waived the parking and cot fees. Throughout the week, staff were excellent. Our one bedroom suite had plenty of room to make our family of five comfortable. The continental breakfast had plenty of real, fresh fruit. We wish we had had more time to take advantage of the rooftop terrace and fitness center.
It was difficult to do laundry because there were only two washers and one dryer working. The breakfast could have been improved to include a few hot items, even bagels or waffles, You had to order off a menu to get something hot and entrees were very expensive.
Well located near the Citadel with great facilities. We enjoyed the breakfast
Great location. Great get together on Wed and Thurs nights in the lobby Friendly staff
I wish the parking wasn't so expensive
Walking distance to Discovery Centre, waterfront, and Citadel Hill.
Parking was expensive
Accommodating and friendly staff Cleanliness Location
Parking facility Cost of parking No microwave in kitchenette.
Loved the location, excellent staff, indoor parking was easy accessible, close to waterfront and night life ;)
Pillows were uncomfortable- tooooo thick!!
Great staff who was very helpful in time of need. Queen rooms had great space and very comfortable beds!
Location was great. Front desk staff was helpful.
Not enough staff or food to accommodate the number of hotel guests at breakfast. Not enough parking for hotel guests and the parking was a little pricey.
Restaurant food was great . Staff friendly Suite was very nice .
Pretty central Room very well equipped Very attentive staff Excellent breakfast Nice view from roof patio
key didn't work well, had to call desk
- happy hour in the lobby :O) - kitchenette in room - nice surprise - friendly, helpful front desk staff (gave me my laundry quarters back - no questions asked)
- pillows were too big - made for a terrible night's sleep - hurt my neck - laundry machines ate my quarters - need to invest in new laundry machines
The downtown location and comfy beds are the best thing about this hotel. The night manager; and Samuel at the front desk were very nice.
The staff was uninformed. Alison at the front desk was extremely rude.
