Score from 48 reviews Wonderful
The front counter people were helpful and courtious. The front counter person made some local restaraunt suggestions with a map which was a great help.
Everything in walking distance and very easy access to metro.
The lobby entry door was too heavy for old people and no one help at the door. The winter time it's not convenience.
Ease of parking and Happy hour at the bar!
the staff was extremely rude and gave unnecessary attitude just because of my age - I'm a young woman in my early 20s.
Super convenient location.
The location is great!
The hot tub had been drained and when we went to use it is was stone cold. So was the sauna. Very disappointing as we have been to this hotel before and it is one of the best hot tubs in a hotel.
3rd time to stay for winterlicious, we have had a great time every time. Loved the little restaurant, bar area. Location makes it so convenient to walk, use transit or take a cab to many places. Loved having the kitchentte and the layout of the suite is really well planned.
Front desk staff could be a littler friendlier, with the except of Andy, he was terrific. He made some breakfast arrangements for us and we really appreciated the attention to detail.
Excellent place to stay...
fast wifi connection
The hot tub was excellent!
the staff at portico dinner which is at the hotel have poor customer service especially to people like myself from the Caribbean one morning I called down for room service of coffee they forgot got coffee from a McCafe after going down and it was as if I were nobody
The location is excellent. Easy walk to Eaton Centre (including underground). Walking distance to the St. Lawrence Market and Distillery District. The suite is spacious.
The suite needed to be redecorated. Furniture was tired. Some mold on the bathroom tiles
The suite was well-appointed, very comfortable beds, quite large and well-equipped. The front desk staff were excellent as was housekeeping. Parking was easy and convenient and, for Toronto, not an outrageous cost. We also appreciated having the Globe & Mail available.
The coffee machine produced pretty awful coffee. We discovered good coffee in the lobby on our 2nd day. It would have been nice to have just a few pieces of china and cutlery. Our room was directly across from the elevator which was okay except that the house phone on the desk there rang often and loudly with nobody around to answer. Maybe the housekeeping staff need another form of communication???
Not one thing
Great to have a suite at this price. Noise isolation between rooms was impressive. Good facilities in the room.
Main bed very comfortable but sofa bed not a great sleep - too thin and too soft.
Close to where I needed to be Staff friendly Room was good size
Furnishings were old Bath Tub was old and not inviting to bath in, shower unit too was old Too many doors chopping the place up IPOD clock that was not set to correct time and could not figure out how to set it
Spacious, multiple TV's, King Bed, WiFi (a lil slow though)
WiFi was slow, Odd sink location, 13th Floor? (I thought there were no 13th floors :s )
Very quiet and peacefully room was very spacious big bathroom lots of closet space
The rooms were spacious and when we asked for extra sheets the hotel staff accommodated us. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel and that made it for easy parking. We could have saved some money on parking on the street because it was a holiday but everyone was too tired so we just paid for the parking at the hotel.
There was a big line at the front desk to check out in the morning.
The pleasant kindness and professionalism off the reception staff. The comfort and cleanliness of the suite. The quick professional response of back room staff to requests. The good service of the breakfast staff.
fridge didn't work.
Location was excellent!
Just a bit dated! Ice was on 2 floors, 3 & 22 so a little inconvenient! Lots of construction but there is everywhere.
Location, staff, confort....
Very good location in terms of moving around the city, near everything. Would stay there again.
A bit noisy from the traffic, I think double glazed windows would improve things. Also wifi signal poor the further up the floors you are.
Two rooms with 51 sqm; the tub and sauna in the 22nd floor; the location near Yonge
The elevators may lead to some waiting time; parking expensive compared to some other parkings in walking distance
