Canada Suites on Bay    

This is a great place when travelling with a group of friends and wanting to stay all together. The kitchen facilities give you freedom of choice in terms of breakfast etc. Location wise - it is dead at the weekend but Toronto is small enough for you to be able to walk anywhere. There was a welcome gift of chocolate and wine waiting for us.

The leather couch in the living room is not too comfortable to sleep on as it is slippery and also has a gap in the middle. However there was another couch, which was a bit more comfortable.

Everything was excellent, including the kindness of the owner leaving the keys before regular check-in time. The location is perfect, near TTC College Station. My family really enjoyed this place and they want to go back there sometime!

The lobby and the elevators were a little dirty, but the apartment was clean and organized. The dishwasher was not in perfect condition.

Loved being in downtown Toronto and so close to everything. We were a group of five and this place was large enough for all of us.

Although the appartment was ready and clean , they gave me a very hard time to enter the appartment earlier than official check-in time, suggesting to go to the coffee house across the street and wait there for no reason, while my babies needed to be fed. Eventually, and after a few calls, they allowed me and the family to get in - not very customer-focused or flexible... 2. Cancellation policy not very competitive: you cannot cancel unless more than 30 days ahead, having to pay every single cent even if you had to cancel due to emergency 3. Elevator old and dirty, terrace not finished

The complimentary wine and chocolates. Comfy beds,La Source toiletries,soft pillows and sparkling white sheets. The wonderful surprise of a washing machine and dryer,perfect when travelling with teenagers. Ideal location for exploring Toronto.

Sofa beds in sitting room need replacing,and a few soft cushions would make it even better. Beds very high, however,SO comfy once in them. Not so keen on the family photograph of my attempt to clamber in,on our first night!!!!

Location- steps from the Subway and downtown. Value- We got 2 BR, 2 BA a kitchen and family room for less than the cost of 2 rooms at any of the nearby hotels. Wired internet. Washer / dryer in room. Facility was quiet, the building is mostly privately owned condos, so no loud neighbors.

WiFi had too weak of a signal, had to use ethernet connection to the router. Room showed some age. Room had the worst dishwasher.

The facilities were very fine (except for the range oven, which didn't work.) It could be absolutely perfect, if it were not for... (See negative comment.)

Although we just loved the "suite" -- a small but convenient appartment, not a "luxury suite", really), we will *never, ever* stay there again. Here's why: even if the rent had been paid in full a few months ago, when we checked in, the attendant *demanded* not one, but *two* imprints of my credit card: 300 $ as a security in case of damages to the facilities -- which is ok -- and another *in the full amount of the rent*, although it had been paid and compensated by the banks a good while ago! No clear, logical explanation whatwoever was offered for this practice, which I'm sure is *illegal.* What's more, written financial threats are posted here and there (taped twice on the toilet, for an example), which makes your stay more than a little bit spooky: "If you do not leave the place at 11:30, you will be charged 90$ per hour", or "If the place is not perfectly clean after you leave you will be charged a 125$ cleaning fee -- although you already paid a 75$ cleaning fee on top of the rent, such fee *not being mentionned anywhere* until you proceed with the payment on Booking.com. Very frustrating! Very unfair! The tenants at Canada Suite must realize that, although the facilities are very fine, their paperwork is a real mess; it is so scary and frustrating that it makes the decision easy for the customers when they have to come back to Toronto: *Never again Canada Suites, ever! Not only the financial threats are visible everywhere, but they also are contradictory (I.E. the amounts of the many, many potential "fines" threats are not identical on the lease "contracts" and in the document which sits on the kitchen counter, reminding you to behave; but it seems that they won't have it straightened up by *real lawyers. These guys do not realize how damaging for their business these practices are! Very unpleasant. Adieu pour toujours, Canada Suites.

Extra cleaning fee, And possible extra charges for internet use, is very Badly perceived when known only at arrival.

It was very hard to find. There is no sign on the outside stating that it's "Canada Suites on Bay" and it is an apartment building, not a "hotel". This made it very confusing. Also, the address is above the doorway, but that is set back quite a ways from the road. It wasn't what I was expecting. Also, we booked a 2 room Presidential suite and ended up with 2 separate apartment rooms. It was not at all what we booked and was not what we needed for business purposes. We were quite disappointed.

Unpolite staff, strange business: it is not an apart hotel, it is a condo and they rent the apartments there. The guy goes to the building and meet you there in the entrance. Wrong information: they charged me twice, in my credit card and debit.

Clean Well furnished - had all what it requires for a small family

Check out time should perhaps be 2 pm as against 11 am

The room was clean and the management left a nice basket of goodies for our family to enjoy.

The dryer was very loud.

The location was good.

There are no smoking rooms.I've been forced to smoke outside the building. They didnt think about smokers. No service at all. That kind of residences should have at least a cleaning service. They didnt change the sheets or towels for a week. When you need someone from management, it was so hard to reach.

Everything was extremely clean, the beds were super comfortable and the bathroom soaps and lotions were La Source from Crabtree and Evelyn.

I stayed at Canada suites while attending a few meetings downtown Toronto and loved welcoming staff (Richard is a sweetheart !) and clean and spacious apartment. The gift basket was also a great plus, wine was delicious! Definitely a good choice to book with Canada suites, no complaints here.

The presidential suite is fully furnished, spacious and comfortable Ideal location and friendly security officers at the building.

Nothing!

I didn't like that it is not a hotel, they rent apartments in a condominum building. It is ok if you don't need any help from the staff, because you won't get it! The building is rather old, but it was ok. And it was way too expensive! We paid 1.7k for 1 week, which apparently was too expensive for Toronto.

Air con didn't work very well

The location was ideal for ourvisit. The suite was very well equipped,nice kitchen and dining area with cooking,washing and drying facilities.

The sofa beds could be a little better. As i was not leaving Toronto until night time i would have liked to have a facility to leave luggage until later than 1 oclock.

First room too small for 4 adults as advertised but moved us upon request to a bigger room with no extra charge!

Original executive suite advertised as sleeping 4 adults but no way adults could sleep on sofa beds
