No fridge in the room.
It was spacious Nice view of harbour Nice costal atmosphere Accommodating to help to figure out the shower One of the nicest place to stay
No phone to call reception No wifi No hot meal option for breakfast No lighting on stairs to building Difficult to get luggage to room No towel bars
Being on the water & the quiet
The room was fairly clean. Comfortable beds. Food on board was very good but service was slow at times. We enjoyed the little porch/deck to sit on although the August weather was somewhat poor. Staff and residents of Ucluelet told us it is nick-named "Fog-ust". When we asked at the desk at check-in why the sudden change in weather from Nanaimo to Ucluelet, the manager said "well it's August and that's what happens here."
Not a whole lot to do if you are not going there to fish. No pool, no WiFi in the room, no beach to sit on, no picnic area for guests with pets. No facilities in the room to make or refrigerate meals. There are no complimentary meals. We asked the office staff for extra sugar, we were given 5 little pkgs. even though we were booked for 6 days, so we had to have housekeeping in to replenish supplies. The rooms are very noisy as if there is little to no sound-proofing. You will think someone is in your room showering even though they are next door. If you are booking online you are not given a price for pets or children. We paid $25.00 per day for our dependent son (17 yrs. old) and an additional $20.00 a day for our small dog then charged taxes on top of it all.
Quite large room with a very nice view of the harbour. Lovely sightings of herons in the bay and we had deer coming right up to the balcony! This is very good value for the money, especially when you compare to Tofino prices. However, not much going on in Ucluelet in comparison, including limited eating options.
We discovered our carpet was wet after unpacking for the night. There was an odour too, but the front desk investigated and then rectified with a good discount for the night - we didn't want to go to the trouble of moving rooms. We were advised against the onsite restaurant by someone walking out - told it was very slow service and not great food.
Our room was very large with a loft and a great view of the marina. I highly recommend the loft suite
nothing comes to mind
Scenery, location, friendly staff
Was impossible to get into the restaurant -continental breakfast was way overpriced
I didn't like the fact that when I complained about the drunken men pouring beer off the balcony above us that nothing was done. The Staff assured that if it continued that they would be evicted. Well it did continue and nothing was done. Even Booking.com brushed us off stating that it was between the owner and myself. I will never use Booking.com again. Thanks Murray Ash.
The rooms need updating and were not very clean.
Rooms were excellent
No fridge in room No wi fi in rooms only in squalid little room on the deck of the ship
The view of the harbour was very nice and the room was nice and clean
There was no fridge or phone in the room, front desk staff not very friendly. The deck outside the room was rotting away.
WIFI only in certain locations shared balconies (noise) 6am wake-up calls for fishers generally catering towards fishers
Steve, our guide for the whale watching, was great - a really wonderful personality. A pity about briefly seeing just the top of one whale, but the scenery was beautiful.
Breakfast finishing and closing before advertised . . . they ran out of food.
Very clean and comfortable.
No Internet, refrigerator, or microwave.
I liked most things about the property.
found that it was lacking in things for children to do, also found meals expensive as on average sixty dollars for three to eat.
15 hr power outage with no acknowledgement or attempt to inform and advise and assist residents being in complete darkness with stairs and windowless bathroom! Staff was not accommodating nor friendly. You were completely on your own to surmount the hazards. Surprising considering liability issues.
Nice, huge room with two queen size beds, a balcony with ocean view.
Clean, older but we'll maintained hotel. Dog friendly. Good value for money. Covered walkways. Friendly desk staff.
Tube TV. Distance from parking to room.
>Hotel needs a big renovation and a much better wifi system
Basic accommodation. Good location for our purposes.
The room was musty and the bed was damp.
I liked having the upper for our adult daughter to have her privacy. We enjoyed going to the ship for dinner or drinks
View of harbour, wildlife (animals), staff very helpful
The room design was not practical. The loft of the neighbours was over half our room space. First night a family of five ran up and down stairs, jumped on beds. Second and third night a group of young male adults, partying all night long. Security was called all nights with little effect because of the room design. We should have left much earlier.
Little or no internet service, and a small TV
The beds were extremely comfortable. Nice view of the harbour. Good location.
Musty smell. Room was not cleaned to a high standard. Housekeeping starts at 6am, which the front desk at time of check in did not mention. If it wasn't for a small sign in the bathroom area at the top of the mirror we wouldn't have known. Loft suite does not include mini fridge.
Nice spacious room with view to tidal inlet and fishing fleet.
The room smelled a bit musty but once door was opened it was ok
