Score from 110 reviews Very good
Our room was very large with a loft and a great view of the marina. I highly recommend the loft suite
nothing comes to mind
Scenery, location, friendly staff
Was impossible to get into the restaurant -continental breakfast was way overpriced
I didn't like the fact that when I complained about the drunken men pouring beer off the balcony above us that nothing was done. The Staff assured that if it continued that they would be evicted. Well it did continue and nothing was done. Even Booking.com brushed us off stating that it was between the owner and myself. I will never use Booking.com again. Thanks Murray Ash.
The rooms need updating and were not very clean.
Rooms were excellent
No fridge in room No wi fi in rooms only in squalid little room on the deck of the ship
The view of the harbour was very nice and the room was nice and clean
There was no fridge or phone in the room, front desk staff not very friendly. The deck outside the room was rotting away.
WIFI only in certain locations shared balconies (noise) 6am wake-up calls for fishers generally catering towards fishers
Steve, our guide for the whale watching, was great - a really wonderful personality. A pity about briefly seeing just the top of one whale, but the scenery was beautiful.
Breakfast finishing and closing before advertised . . . they ran out of food.
Very clean and comfortable.
No Internet, refrigerator, or microwave.
I liked most things about the property.
found that it was lacking in things for children to do, also found meals expensive as on average sixty dollars for three to eat.
15 hr power outage with no acknowledgement or attempt to inform and advise and assist residents being in complete darkness with stairs and windowless bathroom! Staff was not accommodating nor friendly. You were completely on your own to surmount the hazards. Surprising considering liability issues.
Nice, huge room with two queen size beds, a balcony with ocean view.
Clean, older but we'll maintained hotel. Dog friendly. Good value for money. Covered walkways. Friendly desk staff.
Tube TV. Distance from parking to room.
>Hotel needs a big renovation and a much better wifi system
Basic accommodation. Good location for our purposes.
The room was musty and the bed was damp.
I liked having the upper for our adult daughter to have her privacy. We enjoyed going to the ship for dinner or drinks
View of harbour, wildlife (animals), staff very helpful
The room design was not practical. The loft of the neighbours was over half our room space. First night a family of five ran up and down stairs, jumped on beds. Second and third night a group of young male adults, partying all night long. Security was called all nights with little effect because of the room design. We should have left much earlier.
Little or no internet service, and a small TV
The beds were extremely comfortable. Nice view of the harbour. Good location.
Musty smell. Room was not cleaned to a high standard. Housekeeping starts at 6am, which the front desk at time of check in did not mention. If it wasn't for a small sign in the bathroom area at the top of the mirror we wouldn't have known. Loft suite does not include mini fridge.
Nice spacious room with view to tidal inlet and fishing fleet.
The room smelled a bit musty but once door was opened it was ok
The room was clean, the bed was very confortable, the view & balcony were spectacular. The in room coffee was great. The price was unbeatable.
Poor handicap access & Parking. No place to hang clothes on a hanger. Needs a seat in the bathroom.
The view and location is beautiful.
The woman who checked us in was clueless and flustered. The electrical outlets for the TV and coffee makers did not work. I would have phoned the front desk to inform them but there were no phones? I said I walked all the back over hear because there are no phones in the room. Her reply was, oh yeah, it's a fishing resort. I replied. What because it's a fishing resort, you don't have phones in the room? When asked to fix it, I was informed that someone would come down and nobody showed. When I phoned the Oak Bay marine group to confirm there was a dinning facility on site I was told yes. I asked, it's on the Canadian Princess right? Yes, I was told. When I arrived the flustered lady told me, No, it doesn't open until June 1st. Bullshit and not impressed.
Staff were nice. Rooms were clean. Bed was very good. It was quiet and we had good sleeps. Staff were nice and helpful. View was great. Felt safe.
I thought a loft room would have a sitting area down and a queen bed up. I misunderstood and should have booked a regular room, as we paid for the loft room $25.00 more than the other rooms our friends stayed in. They didn't have a regular room left in that building.
The size of the suites were awesome. And the view was beautiful.
We went to the hotel specifically because the page said it had a restaurant that served breakfast. Get there and there's no restaurant as it's off season. Our water was yellow from our shower head but not our sink. Maybe rust In the pipes? And because it was off season they didn't have anything in the store not even tooth paste. This hotel is Usually closed for the off season, but they decided to open a bit early. If there going to open early they should have stock and service. And when ever we needed something the front desk was closed. We went in March..
no maid service
