Smell in laundry room
Staff was responsive and requests for maintenance or extra towels or a few other things were met promptly. Facilities are nice, one bedroom suite was very pleasant and comfortable. Location was very near Old Montreal.
Nothing bad to say.
Convince of been close to everything Rooms very clean
House keeping should be done everyday. Couch had stains Parking is very confusing because 2 hotels share the same parking
The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and the kitchen was a life saver. Location was great as it was in the centre of downtown, close to everything, and a quick walk to the iga to pick up grocerys. For all the smokers theres a cute courtyard in the middle of the hotel that is a peaceful spot to go out for a smoke.
the lounge with games for families, the computer room, the large room with kitchen, the staff. Near great Chinese dining.
Dirty hallways, old looking room and hall. The TV never worked - they just said the weather might interfere with the signal. What weather? Location crummy part of town.
I was allowed a late departure. Reception were very helpful and friendly!
Nowhere did it state that this hotel only starts on the 9th floor!! I had specifically requested not above the 7th floor! Furniture looks like it is mix and match
The staff were super friendly and very efficient. Facilities were very adequate for my needs, internet was not super fast but very reliable, clean & spacious rooms, conveniently located which all adds up to a very comfortable stay. Wish all hotels are like Candlewood Suites. Another plus is that the hotel room rate is very reasonable.
Good downtown location. Friendly and helpful staff.
I didn't like anything in this hotel. I was forced to stay outside because of the poor condition of the rooms.
No breakfast, parking underground smells like vomit, we were in a suite for 4 people and they gave us a small shampoo bottle and a soap. We stayed for 3 days and management said that housekeeping is not available. Parking is $22.00 a day extra!
The internet worked well. However, every 10 or so minutes a popup window would come up confirming that my connection was still active. It became irritating, which is why I gave it a "fair" rating
The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The close proximity to St. Catherine's street was a plus. We walked everywhere we needed to go. The beds were comfortable and clean.
We were unable to get the room type we were interested in. The hotel was busy and the suites all booked. This is a good problem for a hotel to have and we just need to think about booking earlier next time.
The location was good, and the staff were very helpful. Our suite of rooms was quite adequate, too. Close to the metro, bus lines, shopping, and Old Montreal, so getting around was pretty easy. Breakfast would have been nice.
Like everything else in Montreal, the price, along with taxes, was a bit high. One could spend the same money in the U.S. and get more. But, it was what we expected.
Lobby staff - as efficient as in the US, but much friendlier; amenities in the kitchenette, everything was there that was needed, wifi continuing to work for five days (and for free) without having to type in new password every time (as in some European hotels). A great time saver.
The suites were large, comfortable and had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked. It was near Chinatown and the Asian restaurants. Staff is lovely and provide face cloths when asked as they don't come with the room (just like in France).
There is nothing in downtown Montreal. Around the corner is a small skid row. The nearest supermarket is blocks away and borders on food poisoning horrid (IGA), no convenience stores open within blocks in any direction at 9am on Sunday morning. No shops for good coffee within blocks.
no room daily clean up
Great location, good wifi connection, friendly staff, nice kitchen
The air conditioning was too loud, and no daily room cleaning service
Location, helpful and friendly front desk, flexibility to accomodate our party
Rooms are proper but a bit worn. Still acceptable.
Spacious studios, with all the comfort you'd need; large bed, comfortable pillows. Perfect isolation from noise in other rooms. Complementary printing facilities. Friendly service at reception.
No shower gel provided in bathroom, only shampoo...? Smell of neighbour's cooking during morning, afternoon and dinner time, coming through the air vent in the kitchen. Kitchen as a whole might be updated: very old and noisy fridge that did not close fully (room 1310), air vent in cooking plate not clean,...
Excellent location within walking distance of many attractions. Secure and an IGA nearby for groceries. Great alternative for families vs regular hotel rooms. Free use of laundry machines and honour system at their sundry store.
The furniture was tired and worn.
Convenient to Montreal, shopping mall, etc
Close to the Downtown, free laundry
There is no room service.
Booked a queen studio for 4 nights. Description clearly said that it has a "separate living area with sofa bed" but it did not, room looked nothing like the pictures shown! It was small and didn't feel clean, everything was old and run down, fridge was noisy and didn't let me get any sleep. Checked out and moved first thing in the morning and would never stay there again! And it wasn't cheap on top of it all.
Price for short stay would be better value on weekly basis
location. good walking distance to everything two bedrooms kids got their own beds laundry available
Location, location, location. Walking distance to Sainte Catherines street, Chinatown, Old Montreal+++. Having our own kitchen meant we could entertain several nights and a local friend was even able to prepare a meal for us in the room, then cook it on the barbecue and even eat outside on the picnic table.
The parking fee ($22/day) is excessive. Parking should have been included as the cost of the room is on the high end. The hotel decor and amenities are certainly tired. There's no vibe or atmosphere to this place. Fortunately we were able to create that on our own.
