Staff was great! They tried to do everything possible for us. It was plesent
Bed was saggy in the middle. Towels were very thin and not enough. Fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter.
Staff was friendly
After leaving our bags in our room before leaving for dinner, we realized the heater was not working. We mentioned it to the front desk, and were told it would be taken care before we came back. It hadn't been fixed when we came back, and we spent the night in an uncomfortably cold room. They upgraded our room the next day, and it was much more comfortable.
Place needs a major clean-up. Carpet was discusting , hair on the beds , the floor , & all over in the bathroom. Black mold all around the windows. Stains on the furniture.
Maid service needs help. The toilet in our room was not clean. There was a foot long black hair in tub. :(
I have nothing good to say about this hotel just caused i over payed and when i checked in they gave me a room that wasnt cleaned yet from the previous people who stayed which was the same sheets garbage every where i was so mad! Then they had the nerves to ask me to wait so they can clean in which i said no put me in a room thats already clean at any hotel that wouldve been an upgrade so the customer service was very poor and rude..
room not clean found spider webs near bed washroom not clean very old furniture staff not pleasant
Nice big bedroom
Bathroom was old and in desperate need of updating. Key cards did not work 90% of the time.
In the check out time front told me they will check for any missing stuff and then give me the deposit back. Every hotel does this, nobody says about it. I found this was disrespectful. They should just said, the deposit will go back if rooms don't have any damage or something.
Less expencive than other hotels last minute Shower head had enough pressure to wash an elephant
Room was sub par Hotel needs renovations Wifi cost 8$ extra to use
The first thing we noticed was that this hotel was located in what seemed to be in the heart of Chinatown. Being unfamiliar with Canada, we didn't even notice this, and this is a big deal for us as we both dislike Chinese food. But that didn't bother us too much. We arrived around 1pm and was told none of the rooms were ready and to come back at 3pm. We never were given a specific time to arrive. When we came back, we got our key and the wi-fi password good for one day only and only for one device. So we walk into our room...and immediately we were disappointed. You could see stains all over all the walls. Stains like people had flicked food and whatever else all over. The bed was extremely old (or cheap), really springy, not much support, loud. Neither of us got much sleep as we could not get comfortable. The bathroom itself was passable but I still wore shoes inside. The shower head was so old as was the toilet and there were hardly enough towels for 2 people. There was only 1 outlet we could get to, which seems ridiculous considering how many devices people bring these days. Our view from the window (we were on the second floor) put us right on top of the roof of the 1st floor. There were discarded shoes, socks on that roof, as well as flyers for hookers. The insulation in this buildiing is horrible. The people above us for some reason decided to run back and forth really hard all night. The tv looked like a set from the 90's and when we opened the dresser drawers, those were stained too with who knows what. Now for the price we paid for a 1 night stay in this horrible hotel? $170.00. You'd think they'd at least give us wifi for free for both our devices. We heard one couple complain that they got booted off and they were promptly told (and quite rudely) that they were given one night for free bc they were so busy but that they had to pay for any additional nights and again, only for 1 device.
The room was fine, though not the cleanest one but that's what you get in a 2 star hotel. I spent most of the day out, so hard to say what it was like then. At night it was calm and quiet, bed was comfortable so you can get a good night sleep for a relatively good price.
The whole place could use a bit of a renovation, the room was not fully cleaned when I arrived (some leftover trash in drawers and a bit hair in bathtup). Charging $8/day for the Internet is a bit too much, especially since at a nearby cafe you can get wi-fi for free.
No plugs in the bath or sink Worst pillows I've ever had Expensive WiFi Shouting from neighbouring room at 06:30 am Lamps and alarm clock not plugged in
Good choice if travelling on a budget. Older hotel that is freshly painted. The AC was old but worked well. Room was clean-ish, towels/sheets etc. Location is on a main street, noise by 6-7am if facing it, in Chinatown Burnaby so you know what you're getting into.
Mattress was soft & dented - some ppl may not mind. Wifi is extra ~$9/night. Electrical plug was loose so thought I was charging my phone but it wasn't in.
Room condition was excellent and clean
Building general condition.
staff were friendly and helpful at front desk
mouldy smell,no smoking but u could smell it in the room and burns in the carpet, inside of bathroom door was wiped off and black dirt on white towel, ancient t.v.,with not a very good picture..just would never stay there again,no continental breakfast for the expensive price of near 160$/nite....a real rip-off....and dissappointment
comfortable and secure. close to mall.
had to pay for wifi and asked for more toilet paper and was told had to wait till cleaning staff came on. Could of used more towels.
Filthy, old, scary unsafe! The metal gate closing off the lobby should have been a clue. We left without staying and no refund. This should have been vetted before recommending.
Room was clean
Noisy guest Charged $8 for wifi service Staffing services
Nothing just because is cheaper
A hair in a not enough clean bathtub, walls on bathroom dirty and the tiles too, a coffemaker without filter, wi-fi just for one electronic devices in the room and one person in the lobby and we wait for almost an hour for check in
nice and kind staff, good attitude and patient
carpet not seem clean in the common area
Staff helpful getting TV to work. Good shower pressure.
Extra damage deposit of $120.00 and daily $8.00 internet charge
(1) didn't get good sleep due to floor noise from up stair room. it was noisy when they walked. it woke me up in the middle of night. (2) I saw a fly ...in the room on the first day. upset ! (3) kept extra deposit $ ... during 4 days stay, although I paid full while checking in for whole stay. never experienced before ..going around the world. (4) 4 days stay..., but they didn't comply in daily room service, as they promised.
The bus stop to downtown is close by
It was convient for the skytrain (10 min walk) Staff were friendly and nice to deal with.
The place is really run down and the bathroom was not that clean. A lot of stain on the carpets, old style TV and in bad need of a paint job. The windo AC was loud and caused a lot of water on the floor.
Price, helpful friendly staff;)
Blood stained tub, blood stained bed and floor, moldy bathroom. While the room was as clean as it most likely could have been, it was not well maintained, very neglected overall and moderately depressing, but that is also a reflection of the location so I guess it fit right in...? Wi Fi is kind of a joke as well.
