Aquest hotel de Lake Louise (Alberta) està situat al bell mig de les muntanyes Rocalloses del Canadà, al parc nacional de Yoho, al costat del riu Kicking Horse. Ofereix un allotjament confortable. El Cathedral Mountain Lodge disposa de cabanes de fusta amb llars de foc de pedra i terrasses privades. Entre altres instal·lacions luxoses, inclouen barnussos, sabatilles i productes spa Aveda. Per tal que us relaxeu completament, no hi ha ni telèfon ni TV a la cabana. El restaurant Great Room del Lodge Cathedral Mountain serveix cuina regional, elaborada amb ingredients ecològics de granja de temporada. L'extensa carta de vins inclou els millors vins del Canadà, a més d'altres opcions. El restaurant és obert per sopar. És recomanable fer-hi reserva. Very confortable chalet, well appointed and nicely furnished and decorated, although with no view, due to the situation, deep inbetween moutains (yes,from your little terrace , if you raise up your head and twist you neck, you'll see the top of the glacier and other surrounding summits). Had diner on our first evening, excellent food and nice waiter.The best sorbet ever (peach, blueberry and grapes). 1.La situation très encaissée entre les montagnes et bruit de fond permanent de la route qui passe juste à côté.No view and permanent noise from the close highway. Unless your are completely deaf, you can't call that "peaceful" nor "quiet". 2.No one seems to be really in charge of the place and the obviously restricted personal in the dining room is deficient. Ex: brkfst is fully self service (including dishes and cutlery and coffee). But: one morning, there were no knives and no large plates left. The second morning, no eggs left. Then you had to wait a while for a new can of coffee to come which, by the way, was the weakest and worst we had in 14 days in West Canada.Not a smile, not a "sorry", no presence.

Lori did everything possible to make our stay memorable. We really appreciated her efforts. The cereal bowls are too small. There is no sugar or milk on the tables for tea or coffee

We actually stayed 3 days . We liked being at the very entrance of Yoho National Park and having our own well furnished cabin. No wireless connection, no phone except in the lobby clsoing quite early in the evening (and no cell phone connection in the area)

Beautiful cabins in serene mountain setting; great restaurant with creative chef. Decent continental breakfast. "Adventure specialist" was knowledgeable and made good suggestions for local activities. Great bathtub. Picnic basket in room and you can order picnic lunch to take. Cd player/bose speakers and a small selections of CDs in the room. Operable windows. No toilet lid on commode; wood for fireplace that was too large and difficult to burn, and little kindling given each day. On the final day of our four day stay, they delivered some logs that had been cut into better sizes. Pricey

Die Blockhütten sind traumhaft. Die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll, der Kamin richtig gemütlich und alles sehr sauber und neuwertig. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Das zugehörige Restaurant hatte kein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr einfache Speisen (kleine Portionen) werden mit schönen Namen dekoriert zu überzogenen Preisen angeboten.
