The location was good and the the actual Town was not that far to go in for dinner. Our group was able to sit , talk and have an after dinner drink in the comfortable sitting room. The morning breakfast was excellent and our host was most accommodating and helpful .The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. I would recommend this B&B.
Unfortunately the cats were able to roam freely and thus creating some cat hairs on the beds and carpeting in the rooms. What if one of the guests were allergic to cats!
We were made to "feel at home" on all levels! Great experience at Cedar Gables!
Everything was great. The rooms and home were very clean and charming. The owner was friendly and easy going, but also respected our privacy and cooked an amazing breakfast. Over the top! The location is within a lovely walk of the main strip. The resident cats and dog made us feel like we were staying at a distant relatives. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Staying at Cedar Gables was a really nice experience. Our host, Daina, was easy going and helpful and breakfast was delicious. I would recommend it!
Very welcoming, very clean, fabulous breakfasts worthy of return visits. A caring, helpful and truly nice owner.
Can't think of anything!
delicious home-cooked breakfasts, gracious & friendly hosts
Everything was very nice. Food was delicious with very generous servings Owner was gracious & pleasant. Daina was very helpful with choosing restaurants for dinner and local attractions.
Nothing It was a very positive experience
The no fuss atmosphere.
Diana shared her cheese and helped us prepare for having our German guests visit us before dinner. She also helped us with wine vineyard visit ideas and coupons. She sure makes an excellent breakfast also. Benson and Molly were nice pets.
We stayed at the Cedar Gables for our 5 year anniversary. The host was able to give us great information about things to do while we are in town. Breakfast was unique and delicious. Our host made broiled grapefruit which was delicious and fresh bread each morning! And if you're worried about privacy in a bed and breakfast...don't. I felt very comfortable while there but it was much more personal than staying are hotel.
Great variety for breakfast (you never left hungry). It felt like a home.
Dinah was so friendly and she cooked up a mean breakfast as well. We had to cut our stay short and she was very understanding and accommodating. Would definitely stay at Cedar Gables again and would tell my friends about it.
The only drawback was we booked a little late and the only room available did not have an ensuite bathroom. Next time we'll book earlier to avoid this. Otherwise no complaints.
We liked the location and the house.
We didnt like the breakfast. No choice!!! The first breakfast was awful. The second one was ok. Could not ask for anything different. We did not like having to leave the bedroom for the bathroom even though it was ours to use.
Cedar Gables was a lovely get away spot. The owners were friendly, welcoming without being intrusive or overbearing. The decor was lovely, and food at breakfast was delicious! We would definitely return or recommend it to friends.
Daina's warm welcome and helpful hints...couldn't be more gracious! Breakfasts were delicious and leisurely - plenty of time to meet and talk with other guests. The "Shaw Room" was comfortable, the gardens were beautiful, and the house in general lightsome and lovely. We were within walking distance of the Shaw theaters and we enjoyed the walk through a lovely part of NOL.
There's nothing not to like about Cedar Gables B&B!
The owners of the B&B are very friendly and prepare a delicious breakfast. The house is by far the most beautiful and comfortable B&B we stayed at during our Canda Trip. The town is a very nice place (with lots of wineries) to stay and we absolutely recomend to prefer it to a stay in Niagara Falls.
Daina is very welcoming and makes great breakfasts! My room was very comfy and it is a very peaceful location - never heard a sound. I loved everything!
Great little B&B and good value for what you get. Staff was incredibly accommodating and the breakfasts were more delicious than I could have asked for in a restaurant! Daina is lovely and a saint in the kitchen. Incredibly accommodating of dietary needs. The location was superb and the room lovely!
The wifi connection in our room was very poor and no air conditioning!!! Our one sleep was miserable it was so hot, though we didn't bring it up either, so I can't say if that couldn't have been rectified. The parking wasn't ideal if the B&B was full, though Daina took the time to ensure everyone could manouver when required.
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. We had great breakfasts in the morning and could come and go at our leisure. We had some fantastic chats with the hostess (Daina) and she was very accommodating. There is nothing I did not like about our stay. The place was very relaxing and the animals on the property are very tame and well behaved. A big thank you to Daina!
Great accommodations, immaculate bedrooms, common area and dining room. Hosts were very helpful with locations of good restaurants and points of interest. We were served a delicious and very satisfying breakfast and have already booked a return trip in December during Holiday time.
Our hosts, Daina & Heinz, were super. Interesting, delicious breakfasts (way above average) and very comfortable accommodations and surroundings. We'll be back!
A warm and welcoming hostess, the peace and quiet, the cats and dog, the leafy location and a great breakfast.
Our particular room was a little small but was fine for one night. Other rooms were considerably bigger.
Very peaceful and clean! Felt like home! Breakfast was amazing!
Not much info given on what was available - we kind of explored on our own, which made me feel like a snoopy person. Eg, found fridge with pop, couldn't find coffee maker. Breakfast was usually at 9am - not so good for early birds.
Loved getting to know the owner/operators; the breakfasts were fantastic! Nice quiet location, very comfortable and congenial.
Location to the Pillar & Post was within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
1. Host-unfriendly, too strict and expected all guest to know the proper procedures to a B&B 2. Limited check-in times: we check-in at around 10pm and even though the host knew we were coming around that time they were extremely unhappy about it, saying she could of had tickets to see shows instead 3. Restricted to our own bedroom, bathroom and dining area. 4. No guest allowed even to the back patio 5. Host made a huge deal about having an extra person staying with us for one evening and said that we didn't give her more days notice
