What an adventure! We stayed there last week during a snow storm. During dinner the owner called the restaurant (she had recommended an excellent restaurant so she knew where we were) to warn us that the weather was getting worse (bad snow storm) and to give us her phone number. Sure enough, on the way back to the Chalet, we got stuck off the side of the road. I had my husband call them to tell them we may be late and not to worry. Her husband came out with his big snow plow and rescued us. It was terrible weather and he pulled our car off the side of the road and then got us to follow him slowly back to the chalet. What an incredible sense of community and caring for strangers. They even had some brandy ready for us once we were back to the chalet safe and sound. Would definitely return but this time in nicer weather! They also have a beautiful dog.
not a thing other than the weather.
We came to stay over Christmas for a few nights. It was cosy and we all felt like home. I came down with a cold from the flight and was kindly offered hot tea with honey and lemon on arrival. The hotel owner arranged us a nice continental breakfast (it wasn't included in our tariff). Rooms were very clean warm, comfortable, everything we need was there, it is a very pleasant chalet, I definitely would stay here again and recommend for sure. People were genuinely nice. To add to everything, we had to wait an extra hour to be picked up and despite the fact that they were closed that day, the owners waited with us and kept us inside warm to make sure we were picked up. we all really enjoyed a true Canadian welcome!
Spa was closed, but it was understandable, its Christmas time and they all have families
