At this charming and comfortable chateau we were made to feel both welcome and valued. Our hosts were always contactable and available with no request too much trouble for them. The location was perfect having a good selection of restaurant, cafes, bars and high quality food shops within close proximity. The location is just far enough away from the main tourist drag to feel local but within easy walking distance of the walled city and other attractions such as Musée Nationale Des Beaux-arts Du Quebec. A very satisfying experience indeed?
Exceptionally helpful staff - William and colleagues were outstanding in their friendliness, local knowledge and suggestions. The breaksfasts were delicious, the room comfortable and well appointed, and the location perfect for cafes, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Merci!
I would highly recommend this B&B. Warm, full of character and with two wonderful friendly hosts who made us feel right-at-home in Quebec City. Omelettes to die for, beautiful balcony views and a great location on Rue St-Jean, full of excellent eateries and artisan stores.
The staircases would not be suitable for anyone with accessibility issues.
The Wi-Fi was included as was the parking, even though it was a block away - but a secure locked garage. The restaurant that was suggested to us just across the road and up a bit was excellent. We had the front corner room very, very small en suite but adequate, considering the position of the room it was very quite.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and willing to help with whatever we asked for. The owner also serves breakfast with a smile which is refreshing.
The décor needs a bit of an uplift including the carpets. As one walks up to the rooms it all seems dark with the choice of colours (Stairs & carpets).
The staff were great, had great amenities and the street was ideal for restaurants. Breakfast was great at hotel... clean, fresh, coffee maker in room. Individual heat controls.
The owner, William, was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable and happy throughout our stay. Location was brilliant, rooms were clean and comfy and breakfast was delicious.
-very welcoming -private indoor parking close by -spacious and clean room -great location
friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast.
The room was very quaint and comfortable with a gorgeous bathroom and large tub. The roof top terrace was amazing. Excellent location with many shops and restaurants nearby as well as sites. Friendly and accommodating staff. I highly recommend this hotel.
location food nice staff
Since I have a disability with my legs, the stairs were a bit steep.
- staff (William and Emilien were both incredible!) - location - rooms - breakfast
Loved the staff. Very friendly and helped us with our everyday plans. William prepared a fabulous little breakfast before my morning half-marathon. Thank you so much for that!
I just wished the Chateau was a little closer, but it didn't matter really. Our stay was perfect and we would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends and family! Merci
Attentive staff. Care and consideration for traveller at all times. Friendly. Gave advice on where to eat and what to see. Superb breakfast. Coffee and biscuits available every evening when you returned to the auberge. A home from home in a foreign land!
Rooms were spacious, light and comfortable. Rooftop terrace was fantastic - particularly with bottle of wine which you can buy from shop at street level Service from owner/manager Delicious breakfast TV for kids Availability of WIFI Very secure parking
Bathroom very small No lifts and we were on second floor - with sloping stairs, it was a bit of a hill to climb with all of our cases Parking was quite a way from hotel, but we were able to empty our bags just outside so not a big issue Bit of a walk into old town; but we knew this when booking so not an issue
Good location, just outside the busyness of the old city. Excellent restaurants that are little cheaper then within the city. Excellent staff, very accommodating. Rooms are quiet, breakfast very good Everything clean and tidy
This charming little B&B is right on Rue St. Jean, a street full of restaurants and shops. It's a short walk to old Quebec, as well as other interesting neighborhoods. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were clean.
We were on the floor closest to the street, so it was a little noisy but not too bad.
We very much enjoyed the lovely breakfasts prepared by the staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and all the staff seemed very cheerful and helpful. The view from the top of the building was gorgeous.Mext time we are in Quebec , we would stay there again.
wonderful owners working there as hosts, nice breakfasts, tea-and-coffee facilities, great location, charming old style building and furniture, very good service provided with warmth. I felt like staying at my old friends.
maybe too noisy pipes and too thin doors - you could hear people passing your door or flushing :). but it happened rarely, as there are very few rooms and few guests in the hotel
It is a very nive hotel with charming staff and a really good breakfast included. Our room was nicely decorated. We love the style
Rooms in first floor are aroind thedinning room so at 7am you start to hear the noises of breakfast
Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions of how to make the most of our stay, but were not intrusive. Breakfasts were wonderful, room was clean, simple, and comfortable, located easily within walking distance of old Quebec city.
Friendly, helpful staff
Parking was a bit far away
The staff were ALL wonderful and went out of their way to assist. Really nice breakfast, great information on the local area. Did I mention that the STAFF WERE ALL AMAZING?? They were.
Hard to pick out something but the AC was kinda noisy in our room. If you have mobility issues this will be a challenge for you (lots of steps).
Good location near old city, but in active area. Good breakfast. Good rooftop hangout. Helpful staff.
We stayed for three nights with teens in the family room and enjoyed every aspect of the hotel.
