This modern Old Quebec hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Notre Dame de Quebec Cathedral and 2 blocks from the Museum of Civilization. It features on-site dining.
Score from 663 reviews Excellent
This modern European-style hotel in Quebec City overlooks the St-Lawrence River and is one block from the Citadelle de Quebec. A continental breakfast buffet is available at a cost.
Score from 303 reviews Very good
Excellent location, very friendly staff, good breakfast (although not included in room price)
Lack of elevator (as it is an old mansion turned into a hotel), but we received great help by the owners and the receptionist to carry our luggage, so it was not really a big problem
Location and hospitality
Location was perfect -- across the park from the Chateau Frontenac, two blocks from the restaurants and shopping on Rue St. Louis, a short walk from the funicular down to BasseVille. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Haven't slept that well in ages. Of course, not having kids with us this time helped. And Olivier the owner was incredibly helpful in setting up restaurant reservations, offering suggestions for itineraries, and directing us all around a city that was extremely foreign to us. Homemade croissants at breakfast were to die for.
Bathroom and carpeting a little dated, but I heard these were soon being replaced as part of a long-term renovation. Closest parking is two blocks away in a garage that costs $22 a day.
Could walk to everything- great location. Beautiful old building , decorated with period pieces. Staff were very good! Audrey was a gem - very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. Delicious pastries at breakfast!
If you have trouble with stairs, consider the bottom floor. 48 to the third floor!!
We were very lucky to stay at this grand old hotel. We stayed on the top floor with views of the Governors Park and the St Lawrence River. Olivier, Romuald and Audrey were most helpful and they provide a most hospitable hotel. The lounge for guests is a feature and an inviting place for travellers to gather. We recommend this place highly.
There was nothing to dislike about Chateau Fleur de Lys.
Staff was amazing. Very helpfull and friendly. Hotel is incredible well localized.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. This is a lovely hotel in a really good location.
The internet was quite slow but they didn't seem to mind our teenagers hanging out in the lounge to get a better connection.
The hotel is close to downtown Quebec. Right next to the Citadelle. Quaint hotel, would stay there again.
Bathroom was small.
The Chateau Fleur de Lys is in a great location for touring the old town. Our host, Oliver, was extremely helpful with offering suggestions about attractions and places to eat. The entire staff was impeccable and accommodating. We definitely recommend this site as an option for those visiting Quebec City.
Great location good room with character.
Our room was a little to close to the main desk.( noise) and the toilet area was too small.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, even helping explain the Quebec City tipping system. Loved the breakfast and pleasant relaxing atmosphere each morning. The location is perfect to explore the old city and connect with other parts of Quebec.
The bathroom was tiny but adequate for a short stay with everything one would require.
Everything about the hotel and staff
Locationn is excellent in the old city between the Citadel and the Chateau Frontenac. Staff was excellent and very helpful, the room was spotless, the beds were comfortable.
The air conditioner was very noisy. Disturbed sleep and because of the humidity the AC was necessary.
The Owners were very friendly and accommodating. They gave us the best room in the hotel - recently renovated which was really nice. They assisted us with fulfilling our ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by filming us dumping ice water over ourselves in the front of the hotel. Fun!!
Bathroom a little on the small side.
Location is excellent Decor of the hotel proper is nice Rooms are small but efficient Nice TV Good wifi signal strength on the 3rd floor
Dated room decor Needs renovations to bring it up-to-snuff for the price No parking (expected for where it is)
Great location. I was pleased with this hotel, though from the street it is pretty much indistinguishable from a large number of similarly cute old hotels in Quebec City. Finding a room that could accommodate six in QC was not easy, but the ground floor "family" room in this hotel was very comfortable and roomy. Quebec City is really worth a visit!
The location was excellent, the hotel was clean, staff very friendly. Overall value for money.
The toilets in the bedroom were very small and lacked facilities.
Liked being off the most heavily traveled streets Liked the decor- classic with a touch of modern Liked the proximity to restaurants and boardwalk Liked the park across the street
Just outside the window, on a rooftop patio, someone left lights on all night
Close to parking, waterfront and boardwalk.
Great location and wonderful breakfast. Our room was tucked away in the upper back of the hotel, small but everything needed was there. The bed and bathroom were comfortable and well appointed and attractive. Our host, Olivier could not have been more helpful. Parking was a few blocks away and was very easy and convenient as well as secure.
Location in the old part of town. Within walking distance of most attractions. Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly.
Bathroom was very small, ugly and cheap. Its walls were covered with linoleum. No wonder you do not see any pictures of the bathrooms in the description of the hotel.
Personal Attention to every detail..help with every request.Beyond anything Ive experienced in the US..my first time in Quebec..the two owners..were there themselves..to help us navigate the city..set up tours..even dried my clothes I got wet in the rain..seriously want to suceed..
Wish I could have stayed longer..Ill be back !!!
This hotel is so nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, they let us store our bags there for a long time because we were between hotels and our flight was late. The rooms are very stylishly prepared in stark white decor and a coloured mood light that reflects off of the walls. The beds are very comfortable and you're provided with a light duvet instead of scratchy hotel linens. The breakfast is delicious and abundant and very reasonably priced. The salon is open for board games and hanging out all day. It's air conditioned which is so nice on those hot summer days. We will be back!
The wifi signal in our room was really weak, but who has time for Internet when you have a beautiful city to explore?!
This B&B has a wonderful location beside the park next to the Chateau Frontenac Hotel. The new owners have renovated the hotel since our stay here 4 years ago and the bedroom furnishings are now modern and contemporary. There is now a very cozy lounge on the main floor with a nice street view. Our room was small but very comfortable. We encountered very rainy weather during our stay and our hosts provided us with umbrellas. There is an additional $10 fee for a fresh and health continental breakfast served in the lounge: fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurt, cereal, croissants, coffee etc. We love the location and will likely return again. :)
