The friendliness of the staff and the artist in residence program. I was glad to be staying on my own. Although the room had two double beds, it was too small for more than one person to navigate, especially the bathroom.

Debbie and I have stayed three times. Friendly staff. We enjoy the downtown. Good location. reasonable rates. Have recommended Chateau Victoria to others. In fact two other groups - one there now and another going tomorrow.

Convenient downtown location - Stayed there 35 years ago. And enjoyed it then. Plumbing needs to be maintained and improved. - Shower handle requires a fist on it to turn it off. Should be lubricated or replaced. Sink drain gurgles water at random during the night - very disturbing. - Probably from a plugged vent somewhere. Thermastat would not set for cooling - too hot. They had a portable airconditioner in the bedroom, but it was like trying to sleep in the same room as a washing machine. So had to turn it off during the night. Shut door and let it run during the day so that it would be cool enough to sleep at night.

The accessibility to town. A nice big room in the suite. We appreciated the upgrade we received. The breakfast and view from Vista 18 was great. Having to park in the third parking lot was a bit tight.

Location and staff courtesy are supreme. Definitely a recommended hotel where I will surely stay again on my futures Vancouver visits. No controllable heating system so, if you feel cold, use the additional (included in your room) blanket

The hotel as three blocks from the Victoria Harbour and walking distance to great shopping and restaurants The view from our room on the 15th floor was magnificent. Staff was wonderful. Definately a "go back to place". Vista Bar closed at midnight. Nothing else to complaim about.

Great value for money! Perfect location for access to the old harbour and for anything of turist interest in Victoria. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and I got an up-grade, which always helps :-) The one-bedroom suit was very spacious, comfortable and clean Great mixture of guests - families and business. I did not use the restaurant or bar, but it looked great and with a good menu. Nice pool and gym
