The food at the Chebucto Grill was very good, the wait staff were great as well.
Horribly uncomfortable beds, fridge wasnt plugged in and when it got plugged in it made a loud noise all night. Tv was staticky, wifi was poor, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and in tub, also needs black out curtains as the lights from outside lit up the room all night. Stayed there to have a quiet time away and ended up leaving exhausted.
How dirty our beds were .... Not full of our hair and whatever else that brown stuff was on sheet :(
I want to thank the young bartender working until 5 pm that gave me a wine glass to take to my room which we brought back the next morning. Happy New Year!!
The website suggested that all rooms had been renovated and the pictures showed renovated rooms but the room we were in had not been renovated, False advertising.
Awesome breakfast in their bar and grill.
I stayed at the Chubucto Inn when I was called to spend time with a dying relative. After a stressful day I would come "home"; the staff were wonderful; the room homey and comfortable; the meals at the restaurant very good. The Chubucto Inn is a great place to stay.
Staff were very accommodating to our changing itinerary.
Spent a lot of time in the dark, rain, and confusing street geography , trying to find this place. Recommend use of GPS.
The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. The attached restaurant had good food and really good prices.
Very helpful staff, bus connection into Halifax.
Bus connection only once per hour after 8pm, washing facilities really limited, only one machine and it can only be used of cleaning personell is not using it and not during the night
Great location, clean, very comfortable beds.
the comfort inn was great we had two rooms side by side as requested. the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean, and we enjoyed having the deck to sit out on. overall experience was great we will defiantly be back.
Comfortable and no excessive noise from the street. Tim Hortons 2 minute walk. No problems extending stay a day.
Had to get ice from the restaurant (no ice machine)
We liked the friendly, helpful staff; willingness to accommodate our requests; cleanliness; good restaurant with excellent coffee; fast dependable wi-fi,
Although it was relatively affordable, we still paid almost $120 per night for a budget motel. Should have been closer to $80 (including all taxes). Closets were non-existent.
Really enjoyed the staff and restaurant and food.
They still need a little up to date. Especially the beds
Great, helpful staff...quiet and very clean. Excellent value.
No coffee/tea maker in the room but could get coffee in the restaurant early a.m.
Ease of location. Everything was easy to get to. It's convenient to have a dining room on the premises. Though the cooking was very simple it filled a hole and we didn't have to go anywhere
The wifi was a tad dodgy in the rooms. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't.
Booked thru booking.com. I wasn't expecting much because of the cheap & reasonable price but we were pleasantly surprised. Check In staff were great & although it is a "motel" the room was new, and clean. The restaurant is fantastic & so was the service there also. We took the bus downtown which is right outside of the door and was about 9 stops - one bus.. Cabbed it back which was about 10 mins and $12 bucks. Called the desk for an iron .. It was there in less then 5 mins ! Why pay $300 bucks downtown. Easy location, clean & great service !! I would recommend especially for the budget minded who wants to enjoy the city not the hotel. I will be back - thanks !
Nothing. Great value. Great price. One bus & $2 bucks downtown / $12 cab ride back. Clean !
Price was very reasonable, rooms clean, if a little dated, very friendly, helpful staff.
Not a turn-off for us, but the hotel is in a working class neighborhood.
Great location for our need while in halifax. ...Ty again
Great restaurant attached to it.
We loved the restaurant and the people were very nice
there was no soap for the tub and no shampoo. the parking lot seemed small for size of motel.
Small quaint rooms close to shopping areas
Staff & Wi-Fi
I came here assuming this was a 3*star motel. But I find the convenience and qualityof the room as "poor" compared to other 2*Star motel. Furniture in the room are congested, no kitchenette or at least no micro wave oven. The pillow used here is intolerable so small and had to twist and turn all night giving me a neck ache. Had very difficult time sleeping.
