This historic Victorian home is within a 10-minute walk of the tourist attractions of Niagara Falls. The adults-only inn features a full hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.
Score from 120 reviews Wonderful
The staff was exceptionlly helpful with suggestions about tourist venues. Also, the location was perfect to ride the WeGo bus. Of all the B&Bs the bus only stops in front of the Chestnut Inn.
The bathroom in the blue room needs a dressing table against the wall across from the tub. There is plenty of space.
It was the most beautiful accommodation we have ever had.We liked everything.
Enjoyed the room and decor. There was a little kitchen and a big fridge for travellers to use on second floor. All rooms have a balcony that Vary in size. Huge wrap around porch outside. Gardens and exterior well maintained.
No options or variety for breakfasts for the hot portion of breakfast. They are limited in what they can cook due to regulations apparently. Served at a large communal table - would have been nice to have the option to eat on the porch with individual tables when the weather was so nice. A little far from falls but good exercise for us:)
We were very warm welcomed by Nancy. The rooms are spacious, very nice decorated and spotlessly clean. The Wego Bus stopps just infront of the house.
location and staff
no shampoo or conditioner. Tub was hard to get in and out of
The Inn is a very charming location with very nice accomodation. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The location is a little bit removed from the busy, noisy Falls area which makes foir a more relaxing time. The Inn has many walkouts to decks to enjoy the wonderful scenery.
I didn't like that there is no enforced checkout time and no enforced checkin time which means you have organized chaos in the Inn with everybody coming and going at the same time. I don't believe anyone should be checking in before 1:00 p.m. This would allow a more organized checkout of overnight guests and allow staff time to clean the rooms without falling over guests.
the crow was very lovely and kind. the place is very close to the attractions. good breakfast. They treat as like a famliy. very recommended
Beautiful and stylish. Excellent breakfast.
The inn was quiet, there was a living room that you could sit in, and a porch that we relaxed on after a day of site seeing. The inn is only 1 mile from the falls area so we could easily walk to the falls. Even at night we felt safe walking. There is a WE-GO bus stop right in front of the inn if you want to catch a bus. We stayed three nights and saw all of the local attractions. Great for a one night stay.
Owners are not really involved with the inn. We had three different cooks for breakfast over three different days. Each morning the same main course of french toast was served. There were other breakfast items, cereal, muffins, yogurt, bagels and fruit available, all sweet things. Would of liked some bacon or eggs.
Friendly Good location Comfortable Clean
Trying to work out how the room locks worked!
Quaint old house like home
The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The B&B features a separate room where guests can prepare tea, hot cocoa, etc. The facilities were squeaky clean. The Loft is a very large room.
Since smoking is allowed on the decks, the smell wafted into our room. Breakfast foods were all sweet - would have liked protein or savory or options. Tiny, poor quality bar soap was provided.
Chestnut Inn was a lovely place, well located with parking! There was not a thing that we didn't like and would certainly recommend to anyone.
Great breakfast! Best french toast ever. Thx Nancy! :) loved the wooden floor in the bathroom. Cute and elegant interieur.
Location and staff
Only stayed one night so it's hard to say
The location is great. The room decoration is vintage and romantic. They also provide us with tour guide information which leads us to fantastic attractions that we won't find on our own.
The wifi is very good.
This was our second visit to this B&B and we liked it just as much as the first time. Friendly staff, large comfortable rooms and the balcony space is a plus. Good location between Niagara on the Lake and the Falls, highly recommend.
I liked being away from the touristy hub - bub but close enough to walk to either the Falls or to the Queen St. district. It is a lovely residential area.
One morning server was intrusive chatty (it was probably just me feeling the need for quiet). I would have preferred an egg for breakfast, but the fruit and sweets offered were of high quality.
Bus stop outside front door, staff were very friendly & helpful. Convenient self check in.
The house and property are beautiful and very well-maintained. The rooms are immaculate, well appointed and charming. The parking is adequate. The staff appear to be genuinely friendly and helpful
While the Rose Room was delightful, it is not the best room for a light sleeper because of traffic noise from the River Road. The pillows on the small bed are very firm and caused a very sore neck. While the breakfast was ample, the French toast was crisp and, therefore, not enjoyable. It was impossible to pay by credit card and the scramble to come up with enough cash was annoying.
My daughter and I stayed at the Chestnut Inn for our weekend in the falls so we could attend the Lavender Festival. We stayed in the "Blue" room it was clean, comfortable and had a nice big deck. The breakfast was the best, so much food loved the fresh fruit bowl!!
One of the Best B&B in which we have stayed. The house is really beautiful and the decorations in & outside shows a really good taste. Thank you for your hospitality. We had a great time. We really felt like we were amongst old time friends. Delicious breakfast! Very close to train & bus station, a 10 min walk.A Big thank you to Mrs. Georgette, she is one of the fundamental pieces of all environment. Hope to return one day maybe in the winter time to see other scenery. Regrets from Portugal João & André
Very nice people (owner & employee).
Easy 10 minute walk from train/bus station. Easy 15 minute walk to the Falls and main tourist area. WeGo Bus stop out the front for attractions. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was filling and good quality.
No savoury food option at breakfast.
