Friendly helpful staff. Great location in the middle of busy granville street with lots to do. Easy access to the skytrain system. Can be a bit noisy at night because of nearby clubs. The person at the front desk offered us a 4th floor room instead of first floor which helps. I would also recommend wearing earplugs.

I like the reception man, who was there at time of my arrive @ night shift on 7-10-2011 he is smily kind & helpfull, tying all possible thing to make me comfortable, in general the hotel is very nice clean and comfortable with exellent location and price. The worest thing was regarding the breakefast, I bay the price with room in advace, but unfortuntly the time is very limeted7-10am and actualy one day they close at 7 without informing because they reserve the breakfast hall for meeting????,so it was better if they dont recive mony for break fast in advance because they dont offer it aproporitly, even though the staff in breakfast room are very nice and coperative.

The price was amazing! The location of the hotel was also an asset considering it was very close to tourist attractions, transportation and the convention centre. Since it is located near clubs and is located ontop of a pub, evenings were quite loud, sometimes often difficult to fall asleep.

We picked it because of the location, price, and the parking !!!!! It was Fabulous, and I had read mixed reviews. The pub is great, and it was noisy on Friday night. Downtown Vancouver is a Party City on the weekends !!!! The rooms were newly refurbished. The beds were comfy. The rooms are on the smaller side, but for the price, and location we overlooked it....The staff was great... We were going to the clubs, and it was in a very convenient & safe location.... The breakfast in the pub was great !!!!! We also had a dinner at the pub....food & prices were good.... Highly Recommend the hotel & pub !!!!!

The location was perfect. Gastown, Granville Island, and Yaletown was a 10 to 15 minute walk, max. There is a market across the street, a shopping mall a few blocks down. You can drive to Cypress Mountain and Grouse Mountain in 30 minutes, max. Breakfast and parking was included so you can save. Just make sure you review your charges. We were charged about $400.00 over (such as charging us twice for the same day, charged for room service that we did not even use, and charged two different cards when we checked in). If we did not pay attention, no one would have caught this mistake on their end.

The Hotel advertised being newly renovated. So was not!!!! The carpets were extremely dirty and the room smelled like urine. The pub downstairs also turned into a night club, we were on the second floor and you could still here the noise. As well as the people in the other rooms around us.

Poor access entrance, a big step from the street level followed by a flight of stairs which is most unsuitable for the older age group, and certainly not wheelchair friendly. No porter or anyone to help with suitcases and bags

Granville island is a good place to visit for drinks and a meal. You can walk across the Granville St bridge and find your way down to the island or there are little ferries that go across. It's fun to walk over, have a meal then take a ferry (Aquabus) back to the downtown side, especially at night when the city lights are beautiful. No complaints.

Location and staff The t v was not working and although we stayed 3 nights and the staff tried, no one was able to repair it. The clock radio was broken and we agreed with the staff that it was not important.

The room is very spacious. The whirlpool bath was great.A Very large flat tv. There are several steps from the street to the lobby - if you have heavy loggage it's difficult. The hotel itself is above an Irish pub (loud music). The area itself is not so good during the night.

The staff was very friendly The rooms were very small and the immediate area was a little iffy the view from our window was of obvious low income transient housing. Just kept the curtains closed very tightly.

The hotel has an excellent position from which to explore Vancouver or go skiing to the local mountains. The foyer does not give the best impression but the rooms are comfortable and clean and ours had a good view over the lights of Vancouver. Certainly gives value for money.... Also the breakfast in the attached bar was great, Can't beat a fresh waffle before skiing! The Foyer is a bit stark and lets down the rest of the hotel.
