The location was perfect. Gastown, Granville Island, and Yaletown was a 10 to 15 minute walk, max. There is a market across the street, a shopping mall a few blocks down. You can drive to Cypress Mountain and Grouse Mountain in 30 minutes, max. Breakfast and parking was included so you can save. Just make sure you review your charges. We were charged about $400.00 over (such as charging us twice for the same day, charged for room service that we did not even use, and charged two different cards when we checked in). If we did not pay attention, no one would have caught this mistake on their end.

The price was amazing! The location of the hotel was also an asset considering it was very close to tourist attractions, transportation and the convention centre. Since it is located near clubs and is located ontop of a pub, evenings were quite loud, sometimes often difficult to fall asleep.

Location is great! Super friendly staff and very helpful. Good breakfast and the rooms are clean and upgraded. Probably if you saw a picture from outside it wouldn't look as nice as it really is. Definitely I would stay again.

Good location, good price. We were just passing through. The exterior is misleading. It looks very ordinary (I.E. poor). There are steps up to the lobby and no ramp for suitcases. The entry itself is tiny and underwhelming. I would only recommend this hotel for the combination of price and location for short stays. It is not luxurious.

Clean rooms, dowtown location. More than decent Breakfast included. I didn't go, but the pub adjacent to the hotel is supposed to be really good. If attending a conference in the Vancouver Convention Center, beware... It's a brisk 10-15 minute walk. All in all, if on vacation, the hotel is located close enought to main city attractions.

Staff were friendly & helpful. We were changed from a queen size bed to a king size as soon as staff saw I was with my adult daughter. The "room maid" was very friendly and helpful too ...she directed us to the correct room. Although, Queen Elizabeth was a few blocks away walking distance we enjoyed shopping close by.

Fantastic value when you consider the free breakfast, free entry to Steve Nash gym and overall location and quality. Rack rates a bit expensive but the special we got made it amazing value. marginally more expensive than a hostel

The value was very good for downtown Vancouver. I appreciated the double- paned windows to keep the noise of Granville St out on the street. My room was on an exterior wall abutting a live music venue. I had to sleep with ear-plugs in my ears to block the noise. Next time, I will request a room far away from the base line. I am not mobility-challenged but I after schlepping my bags up the stairs instead of being able to pull them up a ramp I would encourage you to install ramps. To be fair, the Front Desk clerk helped me but that wouldn't have been enough had I been in a chair. The HD channels on the TV are nice. However, you have OD' on the American news channels and limited the other offerings. If you can't ditch the crap news then you should at least consider adding the Space channel.

New linens and good bed. Big enough, clean, with wifi. Noisy street, although the windows were well designed to muffle the sound.

I really liked the location of the Comfort Inn Downtown. It was very central to transportation, clubs, restaurants, shopping etc. I found the bed super cozy after a day of exploring the city. It seems the hotel was in the process of patching walls and potentially painting in some of the stairwells, but the decor in the lobby and in the room was welcoming and attractive. The hotel was reasonably priced and included a basic breakfast which really makes a difference when traveling on a budget. The Comfort Inn Downtown is an older building and in some aspects it's probably time to do some upgrading. I.e. Windows, tub. The coffee provided at breakfast and in the lobby could be better. The hotel is steps away from the clubs and bars, so there is a bit of a higher noise level in the area. There didn't appear to be a ramp to the lobby which makes it difficult when carrying heavy luggage up the entrance steps.

This hotel is great value. The rooms are lovely and clean, the breakfast is great and this is a perfect location for downtown activities. The only negative about this hotel is that the room was too hot during the night.

The bed was comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly and a decent breakfast. It would have been nice to know that the room with a queen bed was actually a queen bed with just enough room to walk to the bathroom and one uncomfortable chair. There was nowhere for us to sit, so we had to sit in bed if we wanted to read the newspaper, eat a snack, look at maps. It was more like a sardine can.

Comfortable room, excellent staff - very helpful, the breakfast was very good, the food at the pub was very good- especially with the 25% off coupon from the front desk, location was good for a family with older children and it had lots of hot water. Staff were very good - a couple of new ladies at the front desk who were doing very well on their first week at work. Keep it up. Staff were visible but security was a bit slack. You could enter from the street or the pub and walk up the stairwell. The key card in the elevator is thus a non-security device- provides the illusion of security.

Although the room was small the beds were excellent very comfy! Previous review comments regarding breakfast were I beleive unfair although only a continental breakfast the choice of food was plentiful. Rooms are not that soundproof but you soon learn to live with that as all guests are in the same situation..............good central position, city transport close by. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. We have booked a further 5 nights here to conclude our trip to Vancouver. Peter Devonport Tasmania Australia
