Cool neon sign, close to veggie resturants/alternative city spots, clean & tidy, 10 mins walk to sky train. On road for trams. Helpful friendly staff.
The area towards the downtown eastside is fine for streetwise folks, but may not suit families/older travellers. Not the motels fault, you could drive past those areas if need be.
All staff were friendly and accomodating, good location to quaint shops and transit busses. For the room price, we definitely got our money's worth.
The beds were firm, but the bedding was fresh and clean. Rooms do not include luxury items such as coffee makers, toiletries or iron with board.
I asked for a ground floor room and got a 2nd floor room.
Though well worn, the place was clean, bathroom was very nice despite it's sole plug not working. Generally quiet at night. Convenient for many activities, restaurants and major cross streets. At it's price point in Vancouver it's a very good deal.
Very close to a major center for street people who came through the parking lot of the motel often. The second night we were there, tenants on the second floor made a lot of noise walking around over us. Television quit working on our second night there and no amount of my fiddling with the controls restored it. Too late to contact management and have it corrected.
Internet connection was not good
location and price
noise from streets
The Motel was located close to BC Place, and walking distance to a lot of diners, restaurants, and cafes. Despite the run-down appearance of the Motel I found it served my purpose well. I was able to get a good sleep. Wifi was excellent, and being able to park at the door was a bonus. I could walk out the door and be at a cafe or diner in minutes which was nice. It was walking distance to BC Place, so a great place to stay if you are catching a CFL game.
The room had a bit of an odour, and I thought the carpeting could be replaced. There was a large hair on the wall of the shower which is not something you want to see first thing on arrival. The bathroom was a little cramped but in the end everything worked well.
originally ordered a one queen size bed room but got upgraded to two beds because all other one bed rooms were out :) beds really nice and the most comfortable sleep i've ever had in inns/hotels/motels/etc.
on the second day they didn't refill our towels, so had to ask for some at 11pm; absurdly negative attitude from front desk and was thoroughly bothered by it
Friendly place pretty close to everything. Could only wished for a shower guests could use when leaving late in the afternoon/ evening and check out was latest at 13
Location is perfect, near major bus/train lines. Close to downtown and tourist stuff. Staff is very helpful/friendly/courteous. Not a fancy motel, just the basics and good deal for price.
Helpful desk staff, close to Skytrain, eating and coin laundry
No refrigerator in room, bathroom a bit tired, needs upgrade
This hotel is a fire trap. The manager yelled at us when we returned the key without staying. It was miserable to just stop and look at the room which was way too small for 2 beds.
The location was fantastic, great walking distance to lots of attractions. Rooms had A/C, TV and WI-FI. A good place if you're not spending lots of time in your room.
Lots of water damage, with poor attempts to repair. Stained carpets and cracked drywall. Fairly large homeless population in the surrounding area (but that's not the hotels fault).
Location. Beds were comfy
I'm not the type of guy that'll complain but I was covered in bed bites. There were little roaches on my sheets. I enjoyed Vancouver and the location but it is such a shame.
Close to suburb and transport links
The gentleman (european in his 50s) who was on the desk on the 9th August, requires significant work on his communication skills. I would never employ him in a frontline position. If he was the owner - then he needs to rethink the notion of customer service.
Nothing to like
Very, very small rooms Urine smell everywhere !!!!!! Never will stop here again
the location, the comfortable bed and size of the room, the price
the first male receptionist, who didn't volunteer any information, I had to come back and ask for the wifi password and everything and he would only answer with a word or two. The last one, a young man, was great though! The first remote didn't work
good location, easy access
check out was quick and easy.
Was over-charged for our room. The price of room was $180 and with the $27 tax should have come to a total of $207. However we were charged $232 instead. And there were no travel shampoos/conditioners in bathroom. I've stayed at worse hotels/motels before and this was still supplied.
Our first room REEKED of pee and BO and booze. Bathroom was FULL of black mold everywhere. I felt like I needed a big shower after being in that room. It was disgusting. No towels. We compalined and they gave us a MUCH better room. Smelled clean and no mold anywhere. Still no towels. Once we got the towels, they were so small, it barely covered my body. Also, for the price of the room, there was no mini fridge, no hair dryer, no ice machine, the tv was TINY. This is more like a 60 dollar a night motel but it was 120 :(. But the staff were amazing and the location was so great. Too bad about the rest.
Calvin was extremely helpful and a great asset!! He helped with a variety og directions with a smile. We really appreciated his great tips.
Staff was great, very helpful and accomodating. Acceptable accomodations for price and good central location
Location. Close to skytrain, bus depot, train station. Clean (no bedbugs) Inexpensive for Vancouver
Old and crumbling. Basic cable only. In need of renovations.
It was basically just a cheap room we used to sleep in and use the shower.
There was no way of refrigerating food or heating it back up. Even in the main office. We were traveling from out of the country and really depended on the wifi which had a poor connection. Overall we just wanted to spend as little time in our room as possible.
