Score from 375 reviews Very good
very nice place to stay, good food. and choices. very helpful staff. easy to chat with. rooms clean. cleaning staff very nice.
price is a bit more than others, parking at 25.00 a bit stiff.
Ambiance and service
Room was small ( I booked a low cost room) Not very user friendly for business travel. Some of the overstuffed chairs could be replaced with a decent work station
Old world charm Great location
Room a bit small
Staff and location... Valet parking option, the feel out the place...
Room was tidy without a lot of kitsch and breakables for small children to wreak havoc on. It was warm and cozy, with simple but attractive decor. We had a sixth floor room with a circular window -- gorgeous view and a seat for the kids to curl into and read books (when not making aforementioned havoc)
Parking ends up being expensive, but that's the case at all city hotels.
Was disappointed with the buffet. Food was warm and choice limited.
I would have given the staff an excellent except we had a very unpleasant experience with one member who seemed to resent our asking her questions
Location, comfort of pillows
very small room
Historical significance of the building
Location, Price (which includes breakfast,) Friendly staff, Comfortable beds, Convenient parking at City Hall across the street, In the heart of the city
The room decor is a bit drab. Small corridors, typical of older hotels.
The concierge was very helpful with arranging a local city bus tour that was excellent. The small bus picked us up right at the hotel which was very convenient. The rooms are very small but the bed was comfortable.
The location. The classy lobby. The solid walls.
We loved the location, the staff was very helpful and friendly and it was a good value for the money.
I did not like the restaurant. The buffet breakfast had very little to offer, coffee was hard to get and the staff was unfriendly and service was terrible.
Willingness of the front desk persons, to assist with directions to various points of interest with amazing friendliness to make one "feel at home".. I had several inquiries and all were answered with a genuine interest in directing me... I, was also given a lovely quiet room at the back away from any street noise, granted as per my earlier request when booking.. A cute little room with the inset window overlooking the Ursuline Convent and their garden premise. Spotless cleaning, tidying and re-stocking of toiletries daily.. Efficiency in all departments from front desk, bedroom to dining room . I have already recommended your hotel to my travel agent to use for future clients with a Quebec City destination. I, initially was a bit hesitant about booking when reading the some of the comments made by previous disgruntled clients.. I concluded they were unfair as there is always "two sides to a coin"!! Travelling solo most of the time with much hotel stay experience, I would return without hesitation...Your hotel is centrally located in Old Quebec with most everything a comfortable walking distance or short taxi ride.. Thank you for a comfortable stay.... ..
Faultless experience. Very handy to all attractions very clean excellent breakfasts helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel to all travellers and definitely would stay again.
Nothing all good
Location, staff, restaurant, and service
good location, good service, room and wi-fi good.
hotel is tired and in need of a refurb.
Comfort and staff assistance.
Prices in the bar struck us as exorbitant.
I like the fact that my GPS took me to the front door of the Claredon and the staff took over from there. We had a great room and everything else fell into place. We visit upstate New York a couple of times a year (from Hawaii); Quebec City will be on our "let's visit again" list. LJ.
...that we didn't have an opportunity to stay a few days longer.
Location. Quality of the bed.
Small size of room (Tiny!) Gloomy lighting, with very little natural light from outside. The price.
Great, helpful staff!
Double room not renovated. Dilapidated state.
Location was central, and the concierge was helpful.
The room was a bit tight (but expected given the age/style of the building).
