We loved every minute of our fabulous stay at the Hotel Clarendon. From check-in to check-out, we were treated royally by the wonderful staff. The hotel is beautiful and exquisitely furnished. The location is superb. We had a great meal there as well. One of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. Our group included myself, husband, 9-year-old son and my mother-in-law -- all of us thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful hotel!
Excellent location - walking distance to everything.
Shabby, dank hallways Shabby room furniture Poor sound insulation Musty smell in room The bar is gloomy and without any ambiance whatsoever. Way too expensive for what it is I stayed at the Clarendon 15 years ago and was happy with everything at the time, but it has drastically gone done since then. Quebec City deserves better than the Clarendon.
Great location. Easy to get a tour bus to visit everything of interest.
Location, atmosphere, friendly staff, very comfortable room and bed. Were offered an upgrade to King size executive, which was very nice. Second time staying here and just love it.
No jazz the week we were here :(
location, good service, and comfortable room
It was central to everything. You felt like you were part of the party.
Location was great. Awesome beds Live music in the bar on the weekend Valet parking Nice restaurant on-site
+ in the heart of downtown + friendly and helpful stuff, which takes care of your car + they allowed us to leave the car and luggage after the check out so we could sightsee more of the city
- deco and infrastracture from the 70s, definitely need a rapid update - room quite opressing, small, feeling more like in a cheap motel, although we slept well - too expensive for the quality
Look of lobby was great. Staff in reservation and restaurant were great. Food in restaurant was good. Nice bed covers. Rooms well cleaned by staff. Great location.
Elevator old and clunky, slow. Room: carpet stained needed to be replaced. Matress sacked, hard. Walls dirty. Roofs tiles stained and falling down. Bathtub did not drain, water was up to ankles by end of shower. Paint in bathroom chipping. Door keys often quit working and had to be rekeyed several times.
Location is fantastic, rooms are great, surprisingly quiet, must be the old building. Close to all the restaurants and Chateau
Drinks in the bar were not that great - watery.
Loved the location
room was small but cosy
Cleanliness, service, very friendly staff. Upgrade to accommodate my disability was so appreciated and made my stay stress free.
In house restaurant.
Room lovely, big and comfortable. Nice decor, food good, staff extremely helpful and friendly, location fabulous. Also having valet parking was a relief!
Elevator slow. No gym
The reception staff was very helpfull and the location was good despite the homeless people around.
There was a disturbing smell in the room. The windows were old style, so the noise from other rooms was directly in the room.
Very courteous staff; great location; generally well- maintained and clean. Some rooms have great views.
Need a swimming pool. A bit expensive.
Very small rooms. When booking, I was given an option to pay a little extra for an upgraded room. When checking into the hotel I was informed there was 'no such thing' as upgraded rooms. The toilet ran all night. The shower was either ice cold and then would turn to scalding hot.
Location, staff were great. The oldness of the hotel added to being in Old Quebec City.
One of the electrical plug outlets didn't work. Could not connect to Wifi but may have been my problem.
very quiet & clean room.
The location was excellent and the staff was friendly.
There was not a ramp which allowed me to push my stroller in and out of the hotel. This was a huge inconvenience. The Wi-Fi in the hotel did not work in our room which was on the second floor. In most situations, that would not be a big deal for me. However, I had nothing to do when my toddler was napping. He cannot sleep with the TV on or lights on, when he is in an already unfamiliar setting. The staff knew about the situation with the internet, and stated they had recently switched to a different Internet service provider. There were problems throughout the hotel with Internet service. The Internet did work in the lobby. There were no refrigerators in the rooms, so there was no place for me to store milk for my toddler. I requested to store a carton of milk inside the bar area of the restaurant, and my request was honored. The next day the milk, that had been in the refrigerator, was spoiled.
Everyone was very nice, it was very comfortable and clean.
The food was a bit bland but it seemed to be like that in all of Quebec
Couldn't ask for much more. Classic old hotel.
Can't think of anything. No ice machine on our floor. That's the only thing.
The bartender did not know how to make drinks Four of us did not taste any or much alcohol. I ordered a apricot brandy. And she brought me peach snops mixed. With something.
No Parking No mini bar avsilble at room
