Pretty much everything about it, just be prepared to drive for a few minutes to go anywhere. However that suited us fine.
Good breakfasts. Quiet location. Reasonably priced.
You need a car to get into town.
Cheese soufflé was the best. Alan's restaurant choices and knowledge of the area.
The tittle 'Inn at Cliff Top lane' infers a commercial establishment. Be advised that you will be staying in somebody's family home and one of the first things that you will see is a notice at the side of the inner entrance door asking you to remove your footwear. I prefer a more commercial environment.
One of the nicest bed and breakfast venues we stayed in during our lengthy travels in Canada and the USA. Hosts Alan and Sulee are delightful people. I definitely recommend staying here.
What's not to like ? :-)
Very helpful owner, great breakfast, quiet.
Bit far off the action, so a car is very helpful - but we knew that beforehand so I guess we can't really complain - but it is something to be aware of.
After reading stellar Tripadvisor reviews about The Inn at Clifftop Lane, we booked a 2-night stay for a weekend ski jaunt. Alan and Sulee's tremendous hospitality, scrumptious breakfasts, and comfortable and convenient home helped make our Whistler ski trip fantastic! Highlights of the stay: - The Hosts: Alan and Sulee were amazing. Not only were they super friendly, they went out of their way to help us have a great vacation. We arrived a day late, sadly prepared to cut our trip short. They very kindly offered for us to stay an additional night at no extra charge so that we could stay 2 nights as originally planned. What an incredibly generous gesture of hospitality! At breakfast, they chatted with us and shared tips on ski trails, activities, etc. We asked for Sulee's famous cheese soufflé recipe, and she set up time and ingredients the next morning to teach us the recipe in person. While one of us went skiing, Sulee even took the other one on a multi-hour forest walk with her and the dogs (although what was an easy walk for Sulee was a slightly challenging hike for me despite a 30+ yr gap in our ages...she's nimble like a mountain goat...mental note to self: need to get in shape, fatty). - Location: The inn is conveniently located just a couple minutes' driving to Whistler Creek and a few more minutes to the main Whistler and Blackcomb lifts. We brought a car, but for folks who don't have one, Alan offers drop-offs at Whistler Creek. - Breakfast: Breakfast at B&Bs are important to us, and Sulee's multi-course meals hit the hype. Day one included: fresh fruit, eggs Benedict with ham, homemade waffles with maple syrup, fried potatoes, and orange juice, coffee and assorted teas. Day two included: the famous cheese soufflés, French toast, breakfast sausages, buttered toast, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, and teas. So yummy!
very friendly and nice place. great breakfast. thanks for everything !
Very comfortable, wonderful food, great views of the mountains, warm, welcoming hosts and a hot tub!
TV, video, dvd was really old and in poor working condition. This is a very minor issue, but would be a good upgrade for the place.
The hot tub was the best part
The rooms need to be updated and the wifi was way too slow
super breakfast, very nice hosts, beautiful house with great living room area to hang out after a day of skiing
familiar atmosphere thanks to Sulee and Alan, fantastic breakfast, family dog Ursa, cozy place and always good and helpful advices by the family.
everything was perfect
Our hosts were wonderful. We asked them for a few tips about hiking and local recommendations and they provided great information. Would go here again in a heartbeat!
Hosts were wonderful & area knowledgeable; common rooms comfy and nicely furnished; tasty breakfasts; quiet neighbourhood.
bedroom was very small; no room for luggage; removal of overly large TV cabinet would help. Bathroom needs updating.
It was wonderful. Alan, our host, was so kind and helpful with us. Since I booked, he helped me out with couple of questions. When we got Whistler, we got lost and Alan picked us up. He gave us maps and recommendations about places to visit. The hotel was so comfortable. Beautiful weather, great room and excelent breakfast which reminded me my country. Thanks for everything!
