Very close to the airport. Free airport shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes, round-the-clock. Reasonable rate compared to other nearby options. Clean; quiet (especially given the location).
Nothing negative to report. It's not a "vacation destination", just a place to sleep if you need overnight accommodations and have an early-morning flight.
Service and attitude
friendly staff, walkable neighborhood, good dining options, comfortable mattress
shuttle service from the airport
The elevators vibrated and shook and felt like they needed servicing. We used to stay at this hotel when it was very clean and polished like many other Coast hotels. It felt like the management had changed and the place has significantly deteriorated. Now the carpeting in the halls looks soiled and threadbare;our bathroom had chipped tiles and mold.
pickups from the airport and delivery the next day were prompt and courteous
entrance to the place was run down and weary..worn out carpets, untidy garden at the front needed weeding, place seemed to need dusting, furniture had done hard time
The room was very dated and needed modernization. The bathroom was basic and in need of an upgrade, mold in the tile grout. I expect better for my dollar. I checked out at 5.15am the guy behind reception was very grumpy.
Clean and quiet. White Spot adjoining hotel.
No heat in my room.
How calm and clean the hotel is , also verry friendly staff .
The heat at the room wasnt easy to operate or figure out how to make it work
older room. nothing like it was advertised to be.
location, white spot, room care.
distance from Canada line.
The roomservice dinner was really bad. The lettuce in my salad was all wilted and browning and the burger bun was mushy. Also the girl who delivered the food was shocked when I did not tip her and was rude after the fact.
near the airport
Bed and bathroom
Within the airport and easy assess to airport terminals. Double glazing on windows so there was minimal noise from aircraft.
The bed was ok and the wifi worked. Strangely, not as noisy as I expected given the location of my room which was eye level with Oak Street (even when I had asked to be on the quiet side of the hotel when I booked this.
At check in the employee was efficient but lacked enthusiasm and warmth. The brief conversation went like this: 'Do you have a reservation?" yes 'Last name?' ... She states my first and last name...I say yes. Types away on the computer... hands me the registration form and the parking form 'fill this out and sign in the places with an x' ... efficient but not welcoming... no thanks for choosing us, no enjoy your stay, after discussing the parking stub she finished with 'elevator to the right' . No apology for the parking lot work that must have most guests driving in circles to find the entrance. Hotel smells stale, elevator makes terrible grinding noise, had to take parking stub out to place on dash of car (after a very long day, that meant I had to either drag my luggage up the stairs and back across the parking lot or I had to take my luggage up to my room and then return to the parking lot to put the stub on my dash and then return to my room. Most hotels just take your make and model on your registration form and that's it. Once in the room (a King Room which was $172 including taxes and fees) I found the towels thread bare, a very noisy AC unit which I turned off and to my great dismay, an alarm clock that went off at 5:20 am. As an exhausted traveler that had intended to sleep until at least 7:30 am, I did not check to make sure it was off... I assume that any hotel cleaning staff would always check that. Not a good value for the money... This is a $120 a night hotel at best. Looks better in the professional photos than it actually is.
We have stayed at the Coast Hotel eight times over the past four year and stay no where else in Vancouver. I think this should be a recommendation in it's self.
I was in room 226, the bathroom was badly in need of renovation mildew was everywhere and if I was offered this room again I would refuse to stay in it, to me it was a health hazard.
Great staff, friendly service, pickup and drop off at the south terminal
Water pipe noises from other rooms were sometimes annoying late at night.
The staff here are the best stayed in a lot of accommodation when on holiday but the staff here far exceeded from anywhere else see past paint work and you will enjoy your stay
Couldn't really fault a lot excellent shuddle service from airport. Would have liked a cereal option for breakfast.
Very close to airport, great for an overnight stay. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable.
Not really within walking distance to any of the city sights, however city bus stop right across street.
Close to airport, shuttle available
Poor location regarding everything else than the airport, definitely needs an update. Dark walls etc. don't disguise overuse
This is a basic hotel, the decor could maybe do with an update but it was clean, the beds were extremely comfy and lovely crisp clean sheets, the staff were friendly, especially the driver of our courtesy car,he lifted our really heavy bags on arrival at the hotel and when he took us back to the airport he did the same and ran to get us a trolley too. You telephone the hotel and they send transport for you, they do not charge for it. There is a bus stop outside the hotel or you could go to the airport and get the sky train to downtown
The breakfast in the White Spot restaurant.
Too noisy. We've stayed in other airport hotels that were a lot quieter. Rooms are outdated and need a facelift. Our room had a funny smell like stale beer. Wouldn't stay here again.
Excellent daytime front desk clerk Restaurant on-site
Access - mainly due to nearby construction Room size a bit cramped
Close to the airport.
Pictures on website looked gorgeous..... The room we were in was not like it.
