The room was large. But faced a terminal and there was homeless people sleeping every night.
Not well maintained. Bathroom was dark and dingy. Breakfast was very limited, and the exact same everyday. There was cob webs all around the ceilings. Ice was in the basement.
Beds were very comfortable, night time staff was very friendly, great location, good value, free breakfast.
They made us wait until 4:30pm to check into our room when check in is 3:00pm. Staff was not very communicative or apologetic about this. Daytime staff not nearly as friendly as evening staff. Our bathroom was dirty, and it didn't get cleaned properly for the 4 days we were there, wifi is very very slow, elevator buttons are nearly impossible to read (I know a trivial thing to complain about, but seriously they are horrible!)
Staff got us a different room when we were in the most uncomfortable bed.
Set up of breakfast room. Some of us couldn't get beverages. Waffle maker should be in a place that does not hold up others in getting their food. The toaster was not in a good spot either.
Close enough to the attractions. Staff was pleasant but there was quite a line up for check in every time we passed reception. While many staff were present, only one seemed to be working.
Have to pass homeless row in the park to get to St. Catherines. Elevator was scary jumpy, we took the stairs to the 5th floor.
The front desk staff was pleasant. We had a room with a king bed and it was great. Got a great sleep and the bathroom was nice as well. The location of the hotel was good as well. The walk to the metro was barely 3 minutes. Close enough to the shopping area, as well.
The staff at breakfast as well as the cleaning staff were not as approachable. The pushy crowd at breakfast had me leaving without what I wanted. The wifi in the room did not work, but it did work in the lobby. The hotel did look like it needed updates in the halls and even though it looks modern on the site, it's not as pristine as it appears online. The place was clean but not to a high standard. It was livable though. It was good enough that I would stay there again.
The location is good. Close to metro and a short walk to downtown.
Expensive parking. They make you pay for parking on top of your room charge. Run down room. Shower was gross. Wall paper was falling off the windows were moldy and there is only one ice machine to serve 7 floors. Breakfast was a joke. Be assured that this is not a breakfast but in fact a CONTINENTAL breakfast. Cold hard boiled eggs, bread and cereal is not a breakfast. They mislead you. They however do have a waffle maker for all 7 floors of guests to line up behind. Piss poor.
BREAKFAST CLEANESS Location STAFF.
WI FI Last two days not connection
Staff was excellent.
$25.00 for parking It's a run down hotel The only good photos were the ones you see on the internet.
Room smelled tobacco, carpet did not look so clean and the bed was hard as a rock!!! Way too expensive for what you get...sorry!
Staff was amazing very helpful and informed . Very happy with stay ! Beds very comfortable and was great to have free breakfast with boiled eggs and waffles along with other basic breakfast items. In great central location to Old port Montreal, The basilica,The biodome, the downtown with the Jazz festival on. Park drapeau with shuttle to La Ronde amusement park etc. Metro just on the corner was a great choice . Worth getting the 2 or 3 day metro pass. Very happy with our first visit to Montreal. We will definitely be staying at this hotel when we return to see more of the city !
Overall very bad experience. In my booking I specifically asked for early check in as we were traveling by car. When I showed up at 1:00 p.m. I was told no early check in nor could they call me to let me know when my room would be available. Upon asking to park my car they said I could not unless I could wait until 5 pm to check in? How does that make any sense! Continued on and came back to hotel with my car at 5:00 p.m. Waited at the front desk for twenty minutes before it was my turn. Try to check in and room still is not ready. Nor could I get parking until my room was ready. Finally got to check in at 5:50 p.m. only based on me standing at the front desk waiting. Wifi connection in my room was barely there and turned off all the time. Whole time we were there only 1 front desk clerk to deal with the whole hotel. In my opinion a clear set up for failure. One clerk told management in front of me if things did not change they would quit! Hot water in our room only operated with a huge groaning noise from the pipes the whole time. Much more negatives to list but no more time to put towards a hotel who simply did nothing to accommodate me or make my experience pleasurable. Worst of all heavy renovations going on in the hotel and not stated in their write up. Overall, stay away!
Good location, not too far to walk for main shopping areas. Lively bars and restaurants close by.
Crowded and disorganised breakfast room. Didn't like the ticket system in place for breakfast, quite patronising to be honest. Expensive car parking.
Small bathroom No microwave No hot breakfast options
The staff were nice!
Checked in at 6pm and was given a room. Went to the room and key did not work. Went back to the front desk to inquire about the room and the front desk attendant said it was ready. Went back to the room and there was cleaning ladies in it. Sure enough went back to the front desk an the gentleman gave me another room. Went to the new room beds were ok but the bathroom was terrible. The toilet seat was not secured and the water in the bathtub didn't stop running. Just an over all bad experience and will not be going back.
It was nicer than I anticipated, comfy rooms, good temperature.
A bit expensive, also the breakfast was relatively awful. I took peanut butter than left.
the rooms were clean and comfortable
paying to park there Breakfast buffet choices weren't too healthy
Location of my rooom.
Location is close to commercial area, bus to airport Area is a bit average (not a posh location) Breakfast is...very basic Staff is pleasant
Room decor clearly needs refresh, Room rather dark in daytime
We like that it's minutes away from Metro Station. Very convenient for us going to the Formula1 Race...our siites is clean and staffs are very friendly. We plan to go back there hopefully next year F1.
We don't like the idea that they don't have free parking.
Convenient to Metro, on site parking. Room cleaning very good.
Breakfast selections very limited. Increased the parking fee for the F1 weekend, not good for customer relations. Hotel under renovation, so some areas not finished. Check-in very inefficient. Room AC marginal.
great for the village, very reasonabl.e might be better once the renovations completed.
seriously dated rooms, a bit rough - not as good as other comforts.
room and staff clean and freindly
building is in need of face lift and remodelling
Good continental breakfast. Comfortable bed. Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly.
Elevator cab is in poor physical shape. The visitor experience of getting from the lobby to the elevator is rather nasty. Wifi reception was okay only in the early morning. In the evening it was so slow that it was essentially useless.
Everything was brilliant!
