There was a choice of soft or hard pillows, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast offered a wide variety of choice and staff was very obliging. We will stay again. Thanks. That's my answer.
The rooms were well equipped with small kitchens and separate bedrooms. The beds were comfy and the desk clerk let us part our truck and trailer in a convenient spot, which we really appreciated.
Our room was tiny and dark and next to the staff room, but our friends were upstairs in a bright two bedroom suite for the same price. I wish I had known and I would have asked to be upgraded as we stayed longer than our friends.
For some reason there was smell of smoke
Close to the city Clean, updated rooms Pool closing "early" so you aren't kept awake by guests using the pool late at night
No elevator to second floor with very large luggage
Great location for Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Good road access to Downtown Vancouver and other areas -- really never more than 15-30 minutes drive away from anything!
Breakfast area a bit crowded and limited. Get some outside noise and other room noise at night. Older in wall AC unit but it worked fine. Not "The Ritz" but great value for the stay!
Location - just across the bridge from downtown; close to our family who live in North Vancouver. Front desk ordered a cab for us to go to a wedding and followed up when it was a few minutes late.
The hotel is very dated and needs a significant update. For example, the water temperature in the shower was not constant. At one point it blasted too hot. The shower head was way too low for a tall person. It was hard to get the light above the sink to come on - had to flick the switch a number of times. Kitchenette was not well equipped - e.g. just 2 glasses, 2 cups. Breakfast not good - all carbs. Need fruit. Etc.
Staff was friendly and helpful clean comfortable rooms
wish there had been a restaurant within walking distance as I had two boys with me and no car .
Location of this facility is perfect...right on Capilano Road and nice and close to the major roads to get you to where you need to be!! Staff was wonderful, very accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was very good, lots to choose from!!
To expensive for standard accommodations.
Friendly and accommodating all around!
The friendly staff who became like friends the longer our 48 hour visit (needed after emergency cancellation of stay with friends). Also our own kitchen.
The room was a little dusty but because Vancouver as a whole was suffering from smog I do not feel that Comfort Inn could do a great more than it did.
Close to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Old, but clean. Beds were comfortable. Good water pressure.
Pool didn't look appealing, but guests were using it...
Friendly staff that went out of their way to get us our room before check in time!
The pool was a real treat. Handy to Lion's Gate bridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
the bed was ok the pillow choice was nice the room was clean
the whole building is a little run down
Breakfast facility was great
Room was small; no pullout or couch
Brilliant Pillows really comfortable and decent breakfast, very pleased
Would be nice to have had a small table to sit and have coffee and food, play cards since we were there for 6 days
The location was great - easy to access and close the highway and Stanley Park. The staff were really friendly (especially the morning staff) and the breakfast is good.
They gave us a free upgrade which was more spacious, but the room was right by the pool so it was really noisy. It was also a bit run down - worn carpet, dents in the closet doors, etc. The bathtub didn't drain properly (staff said they would fix this after we told them), the toilet ran constantly, the door on the one bedroom didn't close because the bed was too long and a huge spider kept crawling up the kitchen sink. Overall, not a great stay.
Arrived at 3:00PM had to wait 1 hour before room was ready.
I had no problems at this hotel at all. It was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and it was well-situated to a grocery store (Save-On-Foods) and places of interest (Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, highway to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminals, etc.). Is it pristine? No, it's an older place but seriously, if you want pristine, stay at a Hyatt Regency. The breakfast bar is nothing to write home about. I booked a Queen Suite with a kitchenette so I ended up making my own breakfast anyways. It was quiet the whole 5 days I stayed and noise was not an issue from the streets or the other rooms. (I'm an author and was writing when I wasn't sightseeing--noise would have driven me over the edge!) If you partake, they have a partnership with a fitness facility that's about a 5 minute walk from the hotel--it's not on-sight. Also, the pool is a smaller one and was in use most of the time I was there. No biggie. What I could have used, though I didn't ask for one, was a tea kettle to boil water for my coffee press pot. I ended up using a pan. As a side-note and if it's a concern, they will charge your credit card an extra $25 "holding fee" which is supposedly refunded when you check out. I was unsure why they did this because I paid for the room when I checked in. I think it was unnecessary. Wifi took awhile to join into the network but it did eventually work.
Clean Hotel, Great Location, Helpful Staff, Free Parking
Location, courtyard, breakfast provided, quiet!!! Staff friendly, computer in lounge area, nice pool like a backyard one small but not crowded; AC in bedroom which was handy because it was hot the week I was there, I look forward to coming back with my wife.
It's a little old and worn, some of the appliances could be replaced; furniture, fridge, microwave, stove. They said they could provide gluten free bread and didn't. WIFI iffy, always bumped out and having to re-register.
Ok for the price but it is basic
Noisy Breakfast room was full to overflowing
