Nice location, good breakfast
There was some dirtiness in our room etc. windows.
The spa was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor
It was unfortunate that they do not offer a king size bed. The only reason I stayed at the cosmopolitan was the convenience of the spa. Had it not have been for the shizen I would have gone elsewhere. The walls had scuffs and marks all over, one lightbulb was burnt in our bedroom, the blinds were so dusty I had to ignore them for it not to bother me. The television wouldn't turn on from the remote and the couch was not comfortable, nor big enough for us (we are not overweight). My view was the wall from the building adjacent to us, and we had no control over the heating and air. Overall, the staff were great and it wasn't the worst experience, but it did completely turn me away from wanting to return there again.
Great location and good layout, friendly staff
Very noisy and dusty due to construction, a little dated
Staff were very accommodating.
Breakfast not available.
beautiful apartement including everything you need very clean right downtown friendly staff good breakfast luggage storage possible
no free wifi
If it was after dusk and the room was dark it would have been a nice room.
When we pulled up we asked the valet to park our car so he ran our car up onto the curb and nearly into the building across the street. Needless to say we had to valet park our own car. Once we had that all settled we were sent into a room that already had a guest staying in it so we walked into his room while he was in the bathroom. After going back to the desk and having the manager help us we did not have to pay the $40 for valet parking and were supposedly checked into a premium suite. The suite was exactly the same as the one we were sent into earlier. Unfortunately it was still daylight out so the dirt in the room could be seen, lysol and cleaning supplies would have been a nice addition to the room. The view would have been nice, had you been able to see out of the windows. Another problem was that the hot tub was only open during salon hours so if you are planning on using it you have to do so during their hours. Ultimately we will not be staying in this hotel again.
Personable and helpful staff. They went out of their way to make our trip more enjoyable, Thank you!
Loved the room
Its was modern
It was very basic, not a lot of staff, very unclean. Dust everywhere, dirty shower.
Location, Close to the variety of activities downtown Toronto has to offer. The rooms were comfortable and suitable for extended stays.
The breakfast? Shortage of everything! The lighting! For a contemporary hotel the lighting was dated and gave a poor impression. Parking! Poorly advertised or explained options.
The rooms are big..full kitchen.
Called ahead to make sure I was getting a specific room.. When I arrived it was not the room I wanted....Not only that there was something rotten in the fridge.. Opened it.. And the entire room smelled.. Called down and changed rooms... Went down again to complain that it wasn't the room I wanted.. I was told there are two differnt types of loft rooms?.. The receptionist apologized and gave me free parking..($40?).. Would of let it go had I not called prior to booking the room to make sure it was the suite I wanted.. Apparently the room I wanted was worth $5500 a night.. (Was told by the receptionist) More expensive then other high end 5 star hotels...not sure how accurate that is.. Oh and the room that we were in. Things were pretty scuffed up..
Near the Hothouse Cafe Layout of suite
Suite was dirty. There appeared to be no proper cleaning routines. Dust and stains were evident everywhere. There were no pots or pans in the kitchenette. The dishwasher and washer/dryer required you to buy powder to operate it. The desk staff were unhelpful and even outright rude. The managers made an attempt to placate us with free bottles of wine, but could not address the underlying problems. It was noisy even though we were there Xmas Eve. Renovations in the hotel were taking place with jack-hammers, then there was a party in the suite above us which went on into early morning hours in spite of our complaints
Dirty windows!! In room stuff stupid over priced.. $3.25 for a can of coke?!? Come on!!
staff were attentive and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome. Room layout and design were nice and location was great.
very noisy....construction project across the street. Interiors are tired and I thought the tiles in my shower were either very old or dirty.
The room tranquility was amazing and inviting
We went for breakfast at 9:30 and all the bagels and lox were gone and the Susie I dale the waitress to bring more but she said that was it. I would hope a hotel that was this organized would have extras so that free breakfast till ten meant you could actually enjoy something besides an apple.
Love that it's not a conventional hotel room. Feels like a condo. On a quiet street. My room faced the beautiful courtyard. Didn't have a chance to try out café Eight, but looks very cozy and romantic. Will try out one day. Valet parking was convenient.
Could be cleaner. There were dust and hair along the baseboard.
location, well equipped suite
not clean, mould on shower tiles, construction noise from 5am-midnight every day.
I liked that we only paid half price for the room, that was all it was worth.
It is very geared to business travellers on an expense account. Those who don't care that even having internet in the room cost. The 'business centre' was a desk with a computer and printer tucked into a closet on the 3rd floor.and you had to swipe your credit card before you could use it. The bed was small, low to the ground and uncomfortable. We were assured all the beds were queen but discovered perhaps its a 'european' queen which is smaller. The window coverings offered no sound muffling or light filtering at all. Clearly the rooms are intended for business people who are up at the crack of dawn. I also found that the website and in room pamplets lacked any real price disclosure. The room also lacked that fresh cleaned look. The window ledges and blinds were filthy. The television cable quality was not great. Again, all these things not a great concern to your business man there on a week's assignment and has other things to do and is not paying for it out of pocket
excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.
