Breakfast was good. Nice to have a hot breakfast option
We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)

Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about...
Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about an hour’s drive—which is a phenomenal place for hiking at all levels. It’s an easy trip back and forth, and the primary reason I visited Thunder Bay (there are no hotels near the park). I didn’t explore the city-proper very much. It’s easy to drive around. Also seems to have a robust bus system that no one uses! There’s a downtown area with many restaurants and bars, but it wasn’t very busy, even on a weekend night. Best place I ate was a Thai restaurant, Thai Kitchen (11 Cumberland Street), which was excellent.

There aren’t enough hotels and the ones they have that are good book up quickly. The ones left aren’t worth staying in, but it’s too late to get to another town once you realize it. Plan ahead and book early is my advice.

My reason for staying there was STRICTLY medical, not pleasure. I travelled over two thousand miles to get the medical help I needed, because of the FAILURE of the CORPORATE medical mafia (YES, the medical system is the upgraded mafia system) establishment wants to TREAT people but NEVER CURE people as there is no money in "curing" people. They are the LEGAL DRUG DEALERS WITH LICENSE, WITH HORRIFIC SIDE EFFECTS OF THEIR DRUGS. I KNOW, I AM ONE OF THE VICTIMS OF THEIR GREED. For the medical reason, hot tub was a crucial part of my trip and you ALSO failed to tell me that the hot tub was there for the show not for the go. For the proper health benefit, hot tub AND swimming pool go hand in hand! THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL HEALTH CARE!

We went for a family wedding, but should have went earlier to see the sights. We stayed at the Harbour Front and it was gorgeous. Beautiful weather, Lake Superior ! But like every where else, short staffed. Stayed at Delta Marriot, brand new hotel, but restaurant closed for breakfast as no staff. No bar. No snack counter. Starbucks closed at 11am on Saturday and Sunday !!!!! the young people working there were very helpful.

The review of the travel lodge.....
The review of the travel lodge.....The breakfast which was included did not even have a place to sit. The pancake maker was out of order also the personnel was dirty on their clothing this is anadd on to what my wife wrote. I would never recommend that travel lodge to anyone. Gilles Morais
The location was on the shore of Lake Superior and our room had a beautiful view of the yacht club, lake and islands.
The waterfront has been very nicely developed and there are many restaurants and other attractions within close walking distance of the hotel. As it was incredibly hot outside during our stay, it was nice to have the option of parking underground, although the parking is quite limited there. Request underground parking in advance if you think it is something you would like. The fitness facility is very well equipped.
We’ve stayed here several times. Everything is easy about this hotel - it’s location is perfect for anyone driving through on the Trans-Canada. the neighbourhood around the hotel is quiet, low traffic, accessibility is great. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
When we arrived, we were served by Tina. There were a lot of guests arriving at the same time, but she had everything under control, including coaching other staff who seemed to be less experienced.
The Hampton Inn is conveniently located for those who won’t necessarily be going downtown. The views from the South side of the building are spectacular. There is a very nice self-serve breakfast area with hot and cold offerings. The toiletries provided are of high quality. The staff were very friendly and check-in was a breeze. This is one of the nicest places I stayed during my trip from The GTA to Winnipeg.
One of the receptionists I met after checking in had an infectious good mood. It is definitely the highlight of this hotel. The bed and linen was super comfy, really helped ease the tiredness after driving two days. The room facilities look new and spotless clean. The complimentary toiletries smell really good. The overall experience was better than some of the 5-star hotels.
Wonderful location. We came with bikes and toured the waterfront and a bit of the downtown area on them. Staff recommended we bring the bikes inside for the night, which was a nice consideration. We used the kitchen to prepare the pizzas (frozen) which we purchased from Haven. Yummy! Played 'revenge cribbage' with staff post-dinner. Wonderful way to pass an evening.
The room was very luxurious. The tall ceilings made it feel extra spacious. The bathroom has beautiful finishings with ceramic tiles and quartz countertops. The beds are the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on in the last 15 hotels we’ve stayed in on this vacation. The hot breakfast was also very welcome, delivered right to our room.
- parking lot was good (safe parking)
- the swimming pool & hot tub were working
- the swimming pool had a salt water feel to it. (Not overly chlorinated like some other hotels)
- the beds were comfortable
- the breakfast was good, but there was no hot food options (ie: egg / sausages) other than hard boiled egg & machine pancakes.
It was clean and simple. Our room was right beside the bar, but we couldn't hear any noise from it at all. The parking outside the room was great. The staff were friendly and polite. The heater in the bathroom was awesome. I wish all hotels had a separate heater for the bathroom.
Location convenient. There was nice area nearby for a walk in the park by waterfront with memorials to navy veterans and merchant navy. Interesting marina area nearby. Pleasant walk after long day of travel.
Reasonable room rate. Clean tidy room. Good value.
Nothing , it was horrifying and ive tried to reach booking.com with no success. This hotel should be shut down!!! We left and are still trying to contact booking.com The poor young girl at the front desk was the only nice thing about the whole experience.
We had a suite with two queen beds and a pullout sofa. It was spacious, clean, and met all our needs. Check-in was easy and the front-end staff was friendly and professional. I would stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Thunder Bay.
It was supposed to be a non smoking hotel and we were inundated with cigarette smoke coming from somewhere. Front desk did nothing to help us out. Disgusting. Will never stay again.
l. I liked the decor of the hotel and the atmosphere ,beautiful old hotel .the staff were so nice and helpful I would stay there again if I had a better view
