Score from 159 reviews Good
Good value for money Clean Close to a number of fast food restaurants
poorly quality of electronics (tv, Wi-Fi etc.)
very clean few restaurants in the neighborhood
basic breakfast WiFi stopped working few times
price is good and the breakfast is OK
TV doesn't work. Wi-Fi does not work well, alway loss the signal. there is a very bad smell on the room. only a empty tissue box on the table; the trains passed the motel 4 times so could not sleep well; there is also flyers in the room
It was nice that there was flexible check in as we got in late. The guy that greeted us was friendly. Good location on the highway so you don't have to look too hard for it.
This was the cheapest hotel I could find and I would pay no more than $50 for this place. Even $50 seemed a bit steep after the fact. The fridge stopped working. I unplugged the fridge and plugged it back into the top socket so I could plug in my own multi outlet. I didn't notice that the fridge stopped working until the next morning when my food was warm in it. The bed was fairly short (I'm 5'4") and had a weird lumpy texture.
Hard to see from highway
Great price WIFI connection to look for things to do.
Bathroom was dated and not overly clean Room stank of body odour, cigarettes and mould (im in a non smoking room)
Not a very nice place to stay,no time or money spent on upkeep. Booked online and felt that they didn't like the fact I got a good rate so they gave us the crappiest room.
The restaurants and wineries nearby.
Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke. There was what seemed to be a cigarette burn on the carpet as well. There was no telephone in the room.
Breakfast selection poor, breakfast room too small
Breakfast supplies were low and there was no juice or coffee left and no one to refill.
Staff were friendly enough. Free breakfast was adequate. Beds and pillows were comfortable
Wi-fi when it worked was not good, stopped working continually. Constant trains rumbling by all night. Cheap shampoo packages and bathroom tissue, no kleenex Room was on 2nd floor and no help to get suitcase up (I have arthritis and it wasn't easy)
Closed to highway & stores
The beds are hard & 1 small bed is broken hard to sleep
The walls are so thin i had the pleasure of listening to the nextdoor neighbors having sex at 11 and 5. Lovely.
Bed was pretty old. Continental breakfast wasn't available on checkout at 9:00 AM.
The location was convenient to the highways and the entrance to the city and places to eat. The friendly staff mentioned there was a restaurant called Harold's just down the road and the vegetarian sandwich I ate was very good. Through Booking.com I got a (prepaid) very good price that included a continental breakfast which was sufficient for me: toast, muffins, dry cereal, (I had Quaker instant oatmeal), I had juice (because I don't drink coffee and no tea bags were available). For a small extra fee I brought my dog into the room for the night. I made use of the hot tub and small swimming pool (but good enough for me after a long drive). The general condition of the motel seemed decent overall and my room appeared to have a fairly new tub and bathroom upgrade.
I stayed in room 106--the hot cold knobs in tub/shower were reversed. To flush the toilet I had to hold down the lever all the way for 15+ seconds. The mini fridge was under the counter unplugged and facing backwards.
good location, goodprice
room was hot and air conditioning did not work
Great value for what u pay. Facility needs a Reno but poor appearance is the only issue. Highly recommend if all u need is a good sleep.
Mainly the affordable price was nice. While on a long haul bicycle ride, keeping to a strict daily budget is important. Most motels that look the same as this one are almost double the price and just not worth it. If you're not picky about the outdated style then this is the perfect location for a traveler on a budget.
The room was tiny and outdated. But for the price I paid, it was fantastic!
- friendly staff - inexpensive - about 5 minute drive from downtown - very clean rooms
- rooms are small - AC wasn't working - WiFi speed was good at times, then poor others (mostly in the evening)
Beds not comfortable Wrong room given
Good hot tub
Rooms were a bit small; breakfast was pretty minimal
The location was very accessible and far enough off the main road to be quiet without being right downtown.
It was nice for an older hotel. The staff was a really nice family that tried to help us out with Booking.com's mess up.
I booked this hotel because it was the first one I found under $200 that could accommodate all 6 of us...without realizing I wasn't able to cancel!! (I blame the website not the hotel for this) When we arrived we were informed they actually could NOT accommodate all 6 of us (the rollaway offered on the website wouldn't fit in the room) and we had to get 2 rooms which brought our total over the $200 we were willing to spend.
A fair motel suitable as a transfer stop between Jasper and Vancouver.
Wifi connection was awful. Kamloops seems to be a boring town. Lots of places/stores close early.
