The rooms are lovely! Great views, nicely updated, superb restaurant, awesome spa and top notch service. The room rates are very competitive.
Loved it all!
Loved the king size bed. The heated bathroom floors. The view! The amenities Fireplace. And living room area. Plus the patio to walk out to the beach Went to a yoga class. Lovely class ! underground parking Felt like your own home
I think there should be more than a 5 dollar discount for the hotel guests to use the hydro therapy in the spa We both would have tried it if it was a bit cheaper.
room was not to spec for them to call it a honey moon sweet.ordered room service snacks and when they arrived there was mold on itwe had called to get another plate for replacement and had to still pay for at checkout.morning of checkout hot water did not work for 3hours that morning.we were very disappointed in this visit and would not recommend as well as return to this location again.
I liked everything about the room service and spa. I was very happy that you had a place for smokers. I know it is not a good thing to do around people but your locations didn't make me feel bad. ( trying to quit )
Relaxing and good food
Staff was excellent; friendly and welcoming. Lovely quiet surroundings. We found our room adequate, the beds, covers and pillows most comfortable. The food was great. Our time spent here was peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be back.
It was a slow period during our visit so it was very quiet and facilities were not crowded, exactly as we hoped. The staff was excellent, helpful and pleasant. Our kitchen was without a spatula for cooking and a quick call had one to our door in short order. The room was very clean with only expected wear and tear.
We chose a King bed room, which was showing its age. The mattress, in my opinion, was lacking in support and had been in 'service' a little too long.
Location bad. Run down property
The view, the amenities and the friendliness of staff and guests
That we couldn't stay longer
-Great amenities such as outdoor heated pool, hottub and steam cave -Very nice comfortable rooms -beautiful views of the ocean -Nice shower with seat to relax in -Good spa options -Comfy bed -Huge plasma tv -beautiful grounds
-Given the fact that it wasnt summer, it was annoying that the entire resort was "open concept", in the sense that you had to go outside to do anything and go anywhere, including walking from your room to the lobby, from your room to the restaurant, to the spa, etc. It was freezing and pouring rain so this was inconvenient. -The staff could have been friendlier. They were certainly very professional and curteous, but I feel like they could have given a more "warm" welcome. -I found it was kind of stingy that they only provided one toilet paper roll in the bathroom -It was annoying that the spa closed at 8 and they locked the locker room (pool open till 10). The alternate exit to the pool was poorly market and I ended up taking some exit which brought me to the parking lot. Need better signage if they will lock the main entrance. -Restaurant expensive, and many locations in town do not deliver even though only 7 km from city center.
Very Friendly staff and great service!
Views are great from oceanside rooms, comfort level is adequate. Staff was courteous & pleasant.
We booked a last minute weekend getaway to de-stress and get a little downtime from the rat-race. Booked the room on Friday morning, received a confirmation call & when asked if I wanted to book our spa packages I asked if it would be ok to book them Sat morning as this was a surprise for my wife & I wasn't sure what she'd like to do I was told it would be fine to wait. Sat Morning at 9:30 we went to the front desk & were sent to the spa to book our treatments.... I'm sorry, we're all booked for the day. $200 in Ferry expenses, $195 for the first night... I'm sorry we're all booked!... Seriously! Why wasn't the staff member that made the confirmation call aware of the availability at the spa the day before! Not impressed, checked out and went home rather than spend another $200 on room fees when we came for the spa on a weekend excursion.
Enviroment. Facilities, Food. and rooms very good.
Not having enough time to use the Spa, sorry
View, location, front desk staff super friendly and helpful, and it was very peaceful. Near by pub called "Backstreet Pub" a 5 min drive, great food for a fair price, Philly steak sandwich amazing, burgers too! Live music, and friendly owner.
A bit too pricey considering the age of the rooms. No smoking on balconies, spa staff want you out 15 minutes before pool closes, carpets in rooms need to be replaced (there is an odd smell to the rooms), locks on doors looking old. TV needs more channels, and instructions since they give you two remotes, pick the wrong one and it'll be a game to see how you can get the tv to work again.
ocean orca suite spa
Very experienced and helpful staff. Excellent food in the restaurant. Appreciated the complementary upgrade we received. Good variety of services.
Facilities seemed a bit more weathered than pictured. Spa specials were not pointed out to us when we checked in or we would have changed some of our spa selections.
We made a last minute booking for this hotel whilst we were on Vancouver Island. The room was spacious with the most fantastic views across the ocean. The restaurant was excellent, food and service very good. Out of town so would definitely need a car if staying here.
Quality of food Nice view
Limited menu - mostly seafood, but didn't have clam chowder. HIGH PRICES. Servers were overworked. Pushed, drinks, dessert menu, and tipping. Had to ask for bread more than once.
I loved the hydropath and will return again for that. The location, looking out across to the mainland mountains, is spectacular.
The lighting in the bedroom was very poor- only one light for the whole room. Rather strange. The receptionist was not very welcoming.
the view and the room
deck furniture very uncomfortable
The location, surroundings and general feeling of calm Restaurant exceptional in every way
No screens on doors.. hence no fresh air available for sleeping Not enough care taken in making of beds.. bed skirt extremely wrinkled and not fitted on the bed properly.. looked messy..suggest upholstery pins to keep skirt in place.
The view was spectacular. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. I had the crepe's. The flavor of the crepe's was amazing. The bacon was cut thick, crispy and delicious. Truly one of the best meals I had in a long time. The price and portion are comparable to a pub style venue. My compliment to the Chef. The Staff were friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. Had a message treatment by Kelly. I feel rested and rejuvenated.
If you are looking for a quiet Spa and Ocean resort to relax don't stay at this place. They had 5 weddings the weekend we were there and it was the noisiest place we've ever stayed at. Called securty and they wouldn't do anything until we complained a 2nd time the first night. The 2nd night was a newlywed couple just married in town came to the resort for their honeymoon night and they fought so badly and loud the police had to take the new groom to jail! I expected a relaxing quiet ocen front room where I could leave my window open to hear and smell the ocean but none of that could ever happen. The patio screen doors don't lock for one thing and each balcony has doors for anyone to access onto your balcony. Each balcony are all in line together so if someone wants to chat on their deck while you are sleeping you have to close your door and even then you can still hear them as they are right beside your bed. Even if the neighbors have their TV on the rooms are so close together and absoluetly no sound proofing at all you can hear everything. The massage therapist was not registered so could not get reinbursed for the massage. The food was good but way overpriced. We travel quite a bit 5 star and up and this was the worst experience we ever had. I think Spa and Ocean room I think relax time and peace. Not a chance at this place. I recommended at the front check out that wedding parties are not the place for a Spa as it becomes very loud as a wedding should be. We felt we had to spend our time away from this resort to get away from all the noise. You could not pay me to stay there again. I would never recommend this place.
Restaurant was excellent. Spa services were pricey but very good.
There should be a reminder to guests when they check in that smoking is not permitted on patios and balconies of the suites. Several times guests were smoking below us with the smoking blowing up into our suite.
