We were in Halifax for a wedding. The location was great - so near the water and the wedding venue. I liked the convenience, of location to many local eateries and places of interest. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive in making arrangements for return to airport, suggested restaurants and points of interest.
Lack of toiletries and tea and coffee
Good beds Large rooms View of harbour from the 6th floor
Always changed the towels even if we hung them on the rack
I'm never disappointed with courtyard. The people were professional yet super friendly. Our room was very very clean and the beds were superb. I would stay there again no question. The location is super fantastic. Wished we were staying another night as there was a concert just across the street and we could've enjoyed it from the seventh for floor balcony
we were lucky to get a great - great value and location
We were up for a wedding and it was the perfect spot for us. Close to everything and a fabulous view!
Excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Really enjoyed our stay and would have liked to have stayed longer
Very comfortable beds. Spacious room. Great to find a small guest laundry which was much needed after 2 weeks travelling around!
Location Rooms were clean and spacious Excellent & Friendly Staff Free WiFi - worked perfectly Comfortable beds
You could hear some noise from the street, but other than that it was very quiet.
Location, value for money, facilities and friendly staff.
location is perfect staff are top notch, really wanting to ensure you have what you need, always smiling beautiful facility although the parking charge is $20 per night, the convenience and access to vehicle was great
parking charge is too much entrance, valet area can be congested
Hotel was in ideal location close to the top restaurants & harbour attractions--all within easy walking distance. The hotel is almost "boutique style due to size & architectural design---fits in nicely with original Halifax historical buildings. The roof top patio offers guests a wonderful panoramic view of the harbour front.
minor issue..elevators a little slow at times.
Location, cleanliness and helpful staff.
Loved the facilities, friendly staff and location. We had a great room with a large patio.
Had to ask several times for fresh towels, they didn't bring mugs or sugar with our coffee order and even after calling down, room service dishes weren't cleaned up for 24+ hours. Staff were lovely but missing details. Wouldn't stop me from staying again, but a bit annoying.
Great location and very clean. Pleasant helpful staff. The roof deck was amazing.
No included breakfast option and the breakfast for sale was very limited. The laundry facilities were inadequate: only one washer and dryer.
Perfect location, steps from boardwalk, nice patio with the harbor view. Spacious rooms, cozy lobby.
We liked that this hotel was close to many attractions such as Pier 21, Alexander Keith's Brewery tour, Maritime Museum and the citadel. We enjoyed our stay at this location.
The price was a little high but given location it was expected.
Great modern clean and nice place. Great location.
Located down town, easy access to everything on foot. Friendly staff, spacious room.
There was obviously a hockey tournament in town, some of te kids were noisy in te hallways, not the hotels fault, but makes for not so peaceful, quiet place we were hoping for.
great location- walking distance to everything
Staff were rude, went for 45th anniversary celebration. As seniors had to park across the street, no assistance with luggage, had to get up early to leave or car would be ticketed. Were put on the same floor as hockey team; called to report the loudness were told sorry nothing we can do. We always staff at Marriotts - we won't again. This was the worst service - we pay more for the hotel chain; this was horrid and ruined our anniversary. Never have we experienced such nastiness. Even the people running up and down the halls had a parent tell them to quiet down and the reply "don't worry - the security doesn't check on us until after 1 am." I caution anyone considering this - it was like staying at a low end motel. Words cannot convey how disappointed we were. Leaving early was the best part of our stay.
The staff were very flexible and helpful. Overall excellent experience.
