Courtyard by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland  

I really was impressed with the smile on the receptionist as we walked up to the front desk. She looked up as soon as the door opened. Great job!

I asked about govt. Rate and never got an answer. I usually get a better rate working with the Feds. Maybe next time?? We will definitely go back! Tks for everything.

The staff were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. No request was turned down, and they went out of their way to make sure that my stay was a great one, even with two small children :)

As 2 women travelling my sister and me appreciated the assistance at the front desk and the bellboy John to assist us lugging about all our baggage. It destressed us right away. Offering up help and direction almost before we asked for it; made 2 tired gals very happy!

Great downtown location. We were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to see and do in St. John's.

The front desk staff were very warm and inviting.

I went to take a bath and noticed some nasty mold in the tub - I had to ask twice for it to be removed.

Excellent service by all staff, especially the general manager Jamie. He provided solutions to any requests that we had demonstrating an eagerness to please and serve. Ditto for the other restaurant and front desk staff - and especially the cleaning staff. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard St. John's. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was great because we could walk to shopping, boat tours, etc. and also because it was in an area where we were not disturbed by late night noise. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in answering our questions and making recommendations for where to go and what to do. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful city!

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. It was an excellent place to stay.

The downtown location in St. John's was ideal. The staff was friendly, The coin-operated laundry with washer and dryer for guests was very helpful. Appreciated the valet parking because the parking lot was quite small and filled up quickly.

The "business center" had one very old, slow computer which was not useful.

The elevator to the upper half of the hotel must be one of the world's slowest, both in the time it took to respond to a call and then in its speed once one was in it.

What stood out about the Courtyard was it's exceptionally friendly staff as soon as you entered. Throughout our entire 6 night stay, every staff member was courteous, kind and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and clean, with extra fridge and microwave - great for families. The attached Smitty's restaurant is convenient for meals and fast service, and the bar wonderful for relaxing evening drinks. The location is extremely convenient for walking along Water Street, Duckworth Street and George Street - lots of restaurants, little shops and cafes/bistros right at your door. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great hotel, close to downtown. On the water with a great view of port. Clean comfortable and within walking distance of shops, good restaurants, lots of bars. Staff at hotel were friendly, professional polite and very helpful. First visit here... great spot to visit.
