I was quite happy with the speed of check-in, the friendliness of the staff, and the layout of the suite. The water was nice and hot, and the bedding smelled fresh out of the dryer. "Cozy" is an appropriate descriptor for sure.
The bed was a bit too firm, and the floor could use a more thorough cleaning. The upstairs neighbours were noisy at very late hours.
Very comfortable bed. Fridge and microwave good.
Hotel needs a make over, quite old and run down. Needs a coffee maker - instant coffee doesn't cut it.
Location and price
Cleanliness outside areas- room ok
Shower Curtain and sink and tub plugs deplorable. Floors had new flooring but it was loose above the sub floor so when you stepped on it you would sink a quarter inch or more. The walls were also very bad and loose. Housekeeping was bad, beds were uncomfortable and I could go on but the best thing is to stay somewhere else
It's so nice to find a room that doesn't aggravate my allergies. The King size coverlet was clean a new. And the large bath tub got the ache of travel right off me. Josephine recommended the Greek restaurant and we had a fine dinner there. I didn't get a chance to thank her for her kind advice. So if you're reading this J., we really appreciated everything. Go bulldogs!
close to everything , very nice staff
Beds are old and uncomfortable and with a son in a wheelchair not accessible at all. We had to carry him into the room.
This is an old motel. It has seen better days; it is declined with little attention to public area. Room stark, bare wood floor. tiny bathroom.
the fact that it is there. Only 3 motels in the area,. I had reserved for 2 nights but left after one, so I liked they did not charge me for 2. It exists, so a traveler can enjoy the marvelous scenery,
poor kitchen facilities, ugly furniture, seems to want to imitate furniture that was old at the time of the Beachcombers, all appliances plugged to one power bar, bedside lamps went out, cords to lamps around a board with a nail sticking out, sharp point outwards, slovenly appearance of reception clerk, reception computer and phone covered in dust and grease, gravel covered stairway to upstairs unit, linoleum lifting in bathroom, rusty drain in sink, scented bed linen which caused me to sneeze all night and wake up congested, price they charge comparable to my lodging of previous night where unit had complete modern kitchen, w&d, spa, pool, lovely gardens. How can both these establishments charge the same price?
Separation between one bedroom with twin beds and main room with double.
Waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to show up at the desk. In the end I had to call the motel phone number to get someone's attention!
bathroom old and needs updating to feel clean.
Liz at the front desk was super, very understanding and patient
grounds not maintained, rooms dirty. does not look anything like pictures on the internet. towels of poor quality and do not soak up water. Owner obviously does not care and also should be around at this time of year to assist.
Location was OK; room was clean
Noisy people on the balcony until nearly 10:30 pm; had to ask the desk person to ask them to be quiet; no A/C or fan so couldn't drown them out; it was a hot day so it was hot at night also and without A/C or fan it made for a cruddy night
Price. Front desk clerk was very pleasant.
Room smelled musty and was in noisy location.
When we checked in no kne was at the desk - I had to call the motel and finally a woman appeared looking very confused - she said she didnt normally wake up that early (it was 7pm). First she looked at the system and told us we had 2 rooms booked (which we didn't - only one). Then she said the room was ready because they dont clean them until 10 - and I said, until 10pm? Then she seemed to realize it was evening not morning. When charging my credit card she added an extra zero and tried to charge me 10 times the actual amount - fortunately I noticed and corrected her. She finally gave us our room key, we went to the room and 30 min later a stranger opened the door to our room with his own room key for the same room! She assigned someone else the same room! He was apologetic and went back to remedy the situation, but we felt very unsafe after that. The doors also dont have any deadbolts or way of locking from the inside. This staff person was really terrible and the motel was really not worth the money anyway. I will never stay here again or recommend to anyone .
location bed was comfortable for a queen
no coffee for the coffee maker provided no king size beds, we have one at home and it's always nice to sleep in a nicer bed than you own.
It is right downtown and very close to the office I would be visiting. It is an unassuming place but offers things that a lot of places do not like a kettle AND a coffee maker (significant for tea drinkers who dont want their tea tasting like coffee) and a microwave, as well as a fridge. Lots of parking and its quiet.
Its a little dated and has some noisy water pipes.
No air conditioning, limited electrical outlets. Plug in the clock...unplug a lamp. Charge your phone..unplug the tv.
The bed wasn't too bad.
The coffee pot didn't work. There was hair from the previous guests on the bathroom floor. The staircases are really dirty. Would not stay here again or recommend it to any of my friends. Just too dirty!!!
staff was great new hardwood floors
rooms need painting, smell from previous smokers made it hard to get to sleep. the ceilings are yellowed and the smell is in everything.
the staff.. clean..
needs to be up-dated
drug addicts knocking on doors late at night trying to buy crack or whatever from previous tenants.
Friendly welcome and perfect for a quick and simple stop over
I stayed there as I new in was in the centre of town and also I wanted a separate room as I had my son with me who goes to bed after me. and it was the best deal.
