Very clean, quite and in a great location.
Nice accommodation, staff - very friendly and helpful. Easy to park a car with help from the staff to obtain a parking permit.
Need to provide additional coffee for 2nd night to stay. Faulty blind in our room.
Never met any of the staff personally-- all took place by phone or email. It was like walking into a ghost house! (Was informed by owner that he is delisting this place from Booking.com) bathroom shower so small that a corpulent person would have a hard time washing. No amenities of any kind.
The location was good, depends on what you like, I liked the quirkiness of the location - as one lady on the plane who knows Toronto said "the area is colourful". Joseph the owner was helpful, arranged the parking permit and deducted the parking fine from the rent due to confusing and non existent parking signage. Would be helpful if a map of the area denoting the parking restrictions for the locale was provided
I rented the basement apartment. Looks great in the photos. Issues - the refrigerator sounded like a nuclear reactor starting up so was unplugged in the evening. - The bedroom is next to a utility room that houses the heating system for the property and hot water - again the noise from this repeatedly woke me. - Some joker set the alarm provided to go off in the small hours. - general disrepair of the apartment (lamp next to bed fell apart) and awful damp smell in the bathroom. -General noise from the upstairs area, walking about etc, comes through quite loudly. -no bedding supplied for the sofa bed. In all, I won't be hurrying back - sorry Joe.
I was there for a medical appointment, to visit my daughter, and attend the Cabbagetown Festival. This location was ideal for all three. Access to the TTC was minutes away to reach my appointment and family and was in the middle of the festival area. Banks, drug store, groceries, LCBO, restaurants, bars...right around the corner.
We had the basement apt with only small half windows...would have liked a better view to the outside to check the weather
A cute little apartment with really great value for a really great price. Great kitchen and furnishings, like a little home away from home. Easy check-in, through text, which was helpful for our busy schedule when we would arrive late the first night and leave very early in the morning the last day. It made everything very easy. It was a good experience overall.
It was very cold, it did warm up with the fireplace spaceheater.
Nice place for good price. Close to town centre. Can use kitchen where can prepare breakfast and dinner.
The location is great, clean, internet was fast. A fantastic place.
I liked everything.
The communiction was excellent the property manager Vicky was amazing she always kept me informed was very accomodating to my needs, gave me locations of different places. The Winchester Tourist Home was very nice, clean, and comfortable felt like I was home. Can not wait to re-visit. Will definitely book again!
Everything you needed was at the house and price discount for location change. Vicki from Amazing Hotel Alternatives was great to deal with during the commotion in reservation issues.
We were so far from the World Pride celebrations that it was subway (two rides on two different subways trains to get downtown). Futon bed needed more foam topper (1" not enough). Left bed out to make it easier but took up all the room at the studio apartment. Last minute change to different location by the owner (3 days) did not allow for searching for somewhere else to stay for 3 nights. However they did offer a discount for the situation.
I appreciated the fact that everything worked smoothly: everything I needed to know to make my stay as pleasant as possible was sent beforhand in an e-mail. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place itself was sweet and homely.
The absence of a bar of soap.
