Excellent place. Lovely Breakfast. Very nice people.
A spacious room with Ocean view with a very comfortable bed. The staff very friendly and the breakfast was absolutely superb, prepared with love.
I liked that we could cross the street and walk down a path that led us to a lovely gray pebble beach. I loved the view from our room of the ocean. I enjoyed the gracious and helpful hosts. I loved the light and peaceful breakfast room where you could see the ocean AND watch the neighbors out walking their dogs. It was nice to be in a real neighborhood versus the touristy downtown area.
Occasionally the street traffic seemed a bit noisy, but otherwise the location was so ideal, that it was tolerable.
Friendly and very welcoming hosts Amazing breakfast
Internet dropped out frequently
The owners were fantastic! Superfriendly and helpfull and the home-made breakfast was delicious. Location is convenient with beautiful views of the ocean and the park. There are shops and good restaurants nearby. Rooms are comfortable with very good beds. The perfect place to stay in Victoria.
A great b&b with a fantastic location, wonderful staff, and rooms with comfort and character.
David, Michael and Cora were the epitome of graciousness! The setting by the water alone was magical, but the extra touches of cookies welcoming us home at night, superb breakfasts, ease of tickets to local attractions, beautiful interiors, and music tinkling throughout the lovely manor house added up to one of our best vacations ever! Would love to come back every year with our dear friends!
Nothing at all.
This was a great little B&B, the staff really know what they are doing! It 5 minutes from down town Victoria and with a great view ov the beach. From the moment my wife and I walked through the door we felt like we were home, with inviting smiles and great dacore. The breakfast was amazing, they managed to perfect the great taste of fresh and very well prepared food. I would recommend this place for anyone!
I can't think of anything negative about our stay!
Right across the street from the rocky beach and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Comfy bed, spacious room. The proprietors like to play ragtime tunes at the front desk, in the breakfast room, and in your room when you check in... we felt like we walked into the 1920s. Charming. Our room had a functioning fireplace. The staff was amazing. Very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable about the area.
Breakfast menu is limited. Stay there more than a couple days, and you'll run out of things to try, delicious though they may be. The building itself is old, built in 1909 I believe, so you'll hear the squeaky footsteps of those staying above you, and the hot water from the faucets doesn't get very hot.
We stayed in the Cambridge room on the second floor. The only thing that separated us from the water was the glass in our windows and the street below. Incredible view. The hosts were amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. They made reservations for us to go whale watching and dinner. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. This BnB is a must stay for any traveler. Next time we are in Victoria there will be no other thoughts about where to stay other than here.
Nice place. Well done.
Noisey at night.Lots of traffic.
What service! Every attention to detail, and above and beyond to make your stay not only at the B&B but in Victoria as well, easy as possible. Location was awesome as well, right off the sea, away from crowds, right next to the park, and just down the street from a number of nice places to eat.
David was so kind and helpful. He welcomed us when we arrived and genuinely seemed to care that we were comfortable and having a great time! The room was gorgeous and comfortable with a fantastic view of Port Angles right across the water! We saw so many walkers, runners and bikers out enjoying the absolutely fabulous weather we had! The manor is a great place to start the day with the most beautiful breakfast, served by either David or Cora! Cora has a wealth of information about Victoria, too! There are so many wonderful things about Dashwood Manor that I'm sure we will be back there again. It's so close to many walks and parks!!
Not one thing!
David was very friendly and informative, the food was exquisite and the location was perfect--gorgeous park across the street and great shops and exceptional restaurant in walking distance at Cook Village! Kora, our server, was a delightful bundle of energy!
Having to leave!
Hosts were SO helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. View was fantastic. Close to everything. Perfect destination.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful and tastefully restored and in a great location. Opposite the bay and park. The room was very spacious and Views from every window. It is also within easy walking distance from the center of town.
Our bathroom needed an update but it was spotlessly clean just like the room. We had a lovely stay in Dash wood manor.
The view was magnificent and the rooms were very comfortable. The owners make every effort to make you feel at home.
We had to take Taxi's everywhere we went since we didn't have a car.
The building was a spectacular example of arts and crafts achetecture. The hosts Michael and marshall are experienced hoteliers. The views were beautiful. The location makes leaving the car and strolling to dinner easy and enjoyable. It is a 10.
helpfulness and attention to detail.Venue on the seafront was superb and handy for city.
nothing to dislike!
Liked the location, walks near by, nice owners, beautiful property, great views
Wished there was a common room inside the manor and a table with chairs outside
Food was great. Staff very friendly.
Value for money was not great. Quite expensive for what you get. Bed was comfortable but quite small.
Gorgeous location; views from room were wonderful. Room (Chelsea) very large and airy. Hosts, David and Michael, extremely personable and helpful. Cora, who served breakfast, was delightful and efficient. Meal was excellent. Across from Beacon Hill Park for excellent walks and close enough to walk downtown as well as to Cook Village for cafés and restaurants. It was exactly what we wanted: the small inn atmosphere done perfectly, with every only detail considered. We can't wait to go back and stay for a full week!
Our only regret was that we had to leave!
David and Michael were wonderful hosts and made us really comfortable and feel at home. I would highly recommend this B&B for people wanting to stay in Victoria.
Location had great vibe and design reno was off to good start. Both Breakfast and serving staff amazing and very memorable. View was stunning. New owners very attentive and informative.
Had older suite in attic with weird angled ceilings that were only for short of stature. Suite needed redoing to match rest of house. Was like staying at an old aunts apartent, but it appeared that other suites have been redone recently. would be very interested in staying in those. Bathroom was dated but clean.
The decor was very beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast meal was excellent and the service outstanding.
It was a bit of the expensive side, and would be difficult for someone who has mobility challenges.
