Very welcoming staff and good housekeeping

The beds unconvertible

The staff was friendly.

We had numerous issues throughout our stay. We had to move rooms twice-started in 212, then had to move to 412 because the lock was faulty, and part of it was ripped out of the door. We then had to move to 422 because the breaker blew twice. The second time they couldn't fix it. The bathtub faucet also broke and we couldn't turn it off. During the rest of our stay, more things happened-I had to ride in an elevator with a pile of vomit in it, there were prostitues in and out of the hotel, the bathtub in 422 wouldn't plug, etc. The list goes on...very unhappy. We were given a free movie for all of that trouble...that's it!!!

Conveniently close to everywhere we wanted to go. Great Location, Ample parking.

Window was pretty dirty and they didn't refill our toilet paper.

Staff politeness

Both the breakfast area and the standard breakfast options were well below my minimum acceptable expectations.

The beds were so comfortable! The rooms were newly renovated which is a bonus. Loved that the room had a fridge! And the continental breakfast was very much appreciated!

The building itself was kind of rundown, public areas. And there was only one elevator and it was very slow!

We had to use two flights of stairs to walk up every time we left the room with a newborn. They lost our room booking and didn't get the room we asked for. The staff was rude and unhelpful.

There are facilities for guests to do their own laundry.

The cleaning staff was slack. They left pizza crusts on the floor, and even after I told the person at the desk about the makeup that had been spattered over my bathroom door by a previous guest it did not get cleaned. The restaurant had a very limited, very expensive menu. The free breakfast was certainly not worth getting out of bed for.

Room was clean and a comfortable bed. Smokers too close to main entrance.

When checking in the clerk informed us we had been upgraded to a double queen room when we had paid extra for a king, not what we wished to hear. Carpet in room requires stretching and or replacing, very easy to trip on if not careful.

I liked the friendly attitude the front desk person had, despite him being swamped with things to do.

I didn't like standing in line for an hour to check in because there was one person working at the front desk and no one for him to call for assistance. I didn't like an employee pushing my friends to check out at 8:45 am by repeatedly saying "check out now?"

I liked the location.

They gave away a room I had booked for a employee, even though I had told them he would be driving late. He had to sleep in his car. The next day when he got in to room 215 the sink was full of vomit( true story) The sink, the bathtub never drained properly. By the time you finished showering the tub was half full. The toilet also dif not flush well.

They gave my room away before I arrived, even though a late check-in was specified in advance. When I finally got a room the next day, I went to my room and the sink was filled with vomit from the previous guest. The sink and tub did not drain properly.

Breakfasts were good

Room was in need of repairs...curtain rod was hanging off the wall, bedside lamp was loose on wall. Had to have maintenance up to the room to fix. No elevator to that wing of the building so no good for elderly or handicapped.

Easily my worst hotel stay. Up til 2am with hockey team in and out of rooms. Hall smelt like marijuana. Comforters had dried on stains. When left nothing anyone could or would do about dissatisfaction. 140 a night a little unreasonable for quality.

I booked the hotel specifically because of the pool, gym and hot tub and the location to the Telus Convention Center. the staff that brought us extra towels was very friendly and prompt

when we arrive we raced down to the pool found the hot tub to be empty in the pool to be closed so we thought we would go to the gym but that was close also overall we are very disappointed and the gal at the front desk was not particularly apologetic or knowledgeable.

I can't really add much more then I've said in previous reviews. I stay there whenever I go to Calgary. L love the staff. Rooms are always clean & comfortable.

Good pillows.

Continental breakfast is pretty poor and unhealthy.

Location to the Saddledome!

Booked and payed for a suite but didn't get one! Unless you call king size bed and 1 chair a suite...

beds were horrible / very hard / transit noise and a water leak from the roof into the tub which kept us awake throughout the night. no offer of any kind for the poor room
