Clean and comfortable rooms
Breakfast was very simple, expected more
The size of the room. The location. The fridge.
The pillows are too soft! The bottom sheet never stays tucked in. The lighting is very poor; it is impossible to read by, especially if you like to read in bed before sleeping. Towel quality is poor; too thin.
Reasonably priced clean and comortable accommodation.
Breakfast serving area to small and often crowded. Choice of food limited.
cleanliness, simple comfort, friendly staff, location, homey
No fridge or microwave in the room we had second night.
Location was very important we were off the main street but close to everything. Double Queen Room was very clean and beds were comfortable.
The room was big, but there were not freezer or microwave.
Some guests made some noise during the night and it was boring.
very nice hotel, great location, nice staff and very comfy beds :)
that there was no swimming pool :(
The TV worked.
Housekeeping "forgot" to clean our room. The continental breakfast was a joke - the toaster (the kind with a track on which the bagel or bread rolls through) burned everything. Complaints were met with "sorry, we don't know how to adjust the toaster. So happened the manager was in line for coffee at breakfast (I did not know she was the manager at the time) and I noticed she had her own ceramic mug instead of using the dixie cup sized cups that were available. I commented on how smart she was to bring her own cup since the available cups were so small and she only shrugged. Later I saw her in working in the Manager's office. My room only had coffee and no tea. When i requested the front desk for a tea bag (perhaps from the continental breakfast supply) I was denied - you are not allowed to have that. No spare pillow or blanket available in the room. Air conditioner was extremely loud. For $135/night in a town like Guelph - we certainly did not get our money's worth. Instead it felt like we were staying at a hotel that was on the verge of going out of business for lack of money. We ended up going home a day early and lost the last day's pre-paid money rather than stay another night.
Very clean, pleasant and helpful staff. Room was very clean.
Far from downtown area Purpose of the stay was to go to the Hill Side music festival on Guelph Lake, the hotels in the area should have organized a shuttle to the festival for their guests.
The front desk staff, especialey sat eve, Aug,16th
Walking up all those steps,as we were 4 seniors.
The location was great, the bed was comfortable and linens clean.
The bathtubs were grubby. The desk clerk was very accomodating and showed me several rooms. The tubs need to be scrubbed with a more abrasive cleaner. I was hoping to use the tub but showered instead. I also noticed dirty water marks on the outside of the tub, which means dirty water is used to wash the tiled floor.
location, price, had a good sleep. The white duvets were nice.
The whole inside needs a makeover - frayed, faded upholstery; terrible paint-by-number looking 'art' on the walls; scratched woodwork. The stairs - my fault - should have specified lst floor.
Breakfast and quiet
Room was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
The staff were excellent.
Needs refurbishing. But was clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Room needed more light and pictures on walls
convenient to the university related events
carpets, hallway, etc seem a bit tired and beginning to show their age
beds--super comfy location--excellent staff-really helpful and nice
ridiculously noisy air conditioner kept us awake much of the night. had we been able to open the window and let out some of the hot air in the room we would have been much happier the next morning
Very close to our venue and easy to find and get around - the rooms were comfortable and quiet
The breakfast could have had more of a selection instead of high carb foods - not everyone likes to eat fruit whole so having a fruit cup dish would have been nice and regular oatmeal instead of the high sugary stuff. Protein options would have been nice such as scrambled eggs, or cheese options
Staff was very personable, recognized us, and accommodated our needs.
I love the fridge in the room (^.^)
The coffee tastes not good...
The pillows were very uncomfortable, the comforter was very heavy and there wasnt one single chair in the room.
Clean and friendly place
Not enough bath towels or blankets for comfort.
Friendly staff, good parking
I liked the breakfast choices but was suprised there were no boiled eggs; possibly I'm mixing this motel up with the Comfort Inn in Timmins!
The television didn't work and the hotel manager just "fixed" it by setting it up so one channel could be watched. For the second night I asked for another room and, frankly, think this should have been offered the first time around. The hotel wasn't busy.
