Location was perfect for the purpose of our visit. We could leave our car at the hotel and walk around downtown Hamilton all day. The staff were courteous. I love continental breakfasts with the do-it-yourself waffle makers.
My only complaint was the pipes that banged behind the wall when we turned the shower on, but it wasn't a big deal.
The bed was soft, not uncomfortable especially for someone with back problems. Room was clean and quiet.
Parking concerned me, not enough spaces and no security.
Size of room,appeared quite clean.
Location of noisey fridge next to bed.Noisey heating unit. Both annoying and prevented good nights sleep for me.Room 228 was big enough to put fridge unit on opposte wall.
I liked the size of the room, and that I could come and go as I pleased.
I had a hard time connecting to the wifi, I had to keep asking for toilet paper.
Location was great - thought it would have potentially been noisier, but not so. Easy to get around to anywhere.
Parking in the main lot is limited, although they do have an alternate lot available half a block down.Great
Room set-up was nice
Being told that charging my credit card for more money than the room cost in advance was standard, and being made to feel like I was some sort of neophyte for not "knowing" this. Very poor customer service!
the bathroom had mold stains around tub very unappealing
Had intended to pay cash, but was told that my Credit Card had already been charged for the room. Poor form this
NO SELECTION FOR bREAKFAST AND A COUPLE OF PEOPLE SLEEPING OR HANGING OUT FOR A LONG TIME IN LOBBY
no elevator...did not advertize this high crime rate area not enough parting requiring us to part in a near by parking lot where a car had been broken into during our stary needs a paint job in the hallways
Close to the venue where we'll be watching a concert (hamilton place). Price of our room
Staff could use a genuine smile. Carpet along the stairs and hallway could use some deep cleaning. Tiles has some mold.. Shower head has mildew. Room need some upkeeping
this days in was the 3rd I stayed within this perticular chain called "days in". the 1st 2 were in toronto city and they were a bit better. The owner of the facility is a really wonderful man so is the andrias (I apologise if I spelled the name mistakenly). Easy access from the main bus station if u r coming from outside the city by bus. iron machine and table available in the room. They kindly helped me to keep my bag for few extra days until I was back from niagra falls.
1) breakfast was very limited. waffle, serial and some fruits. not continental breakfast. 2) price is a bit high for what you get. 3) I didn't like the idea of locking up my room until I make the payment for the extra day rent while a 250 $ deposit is already pre-authorised from my card. I could have either payed it at check out or could be requested to do so in a professional manner.
Literally nothing except closer to downtown location
(1) I clearly mentioned that I am travelling with 2 adults and 2 kids with ages. But when I checked-in, I was given a room that has only one queen size bed! I had to suffer for 2 days and pay extra for moving to a different room. The staff passed the blame to booking.com (2) Air conditioner filter changed some years ago and makes you sick (3) Very limited supply of coffee, toiletries. No moisturizer, etc. (4) Breakfast had very limited choice (5) Have to wait for 15 mins everytime you try to talk to frontdesk staff
Stayed here while in Hamilton for a country concert at the Tim Horton Field, location was very close to event costing only $12.00 each way. Hotel was quiet, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Will be staying here again for next event at Tim Horton Field.
it was clean and new and easy to locate.
the female staff that was working the desk upon check in was in our opinion not the friendliest we thought
the room's air quality
If someone wants a night or two while seeing the downtown and surrounding area this is a good location.
The setting for the hotel is dismal. Route 8 at the front door is one of the ugliest utilitarian urban arterial streets in the US. It exists only to move traffic, there is little room for pedestrians and no landscaping etc. Pete Pointner FAICP, ALA, ITE
Good location for downtown, clean room, comfy beds.
Staff was not very friendly, and the shampoo and coffee was not replaced after first day in room . ( we were there for 3 nights)
Simple and well kept up, close to downtown.
Guests before us had smoked in the non-smoking room. Made the stay less pleasant.
Staff was very nice.
Not enough parking spaces. Had to park down the road. Very sketchy part of town.
no elevator. for seniors as us. had to climb stairs with luggage. parking car was horrendous. no spots room was smelly. sign in lobby says 'no visitors in rooms' totally archaic! desk girl was not welcoming.
Cleanliness of room, comfortable bed. Lots of good towels and a supply of pillows. Good selection of stations on the t.v. The morning receptionist was much more polished, A good breakfast.
Very abrupt, almost rude receptionist, when we were checking in. Noise of an apparently drunken encounter outside our door. No decaf coffee available in the breakfast area
Loved everything its the only hotel in hamilton i will stay in.
Ice machine didnt work
size of room 2 chairs, table & desk is nice
breakfast did not have a great selection
The room was clean and quiet.
Some front desk staff appear to not be too interested in their job. There were a couple of rather heated disturbances between staff and guest(s) that I found rather uncomfortable to be around. Perhaps this is not the norm but I found it uncomfortable just the same and chose to leave early.
