Days Inn Ottawa West  

Most staff were quite prepared to go out of their way to help. One on the morning was less so but by and large they were very good.

Internet access was too unreliable. It kept kicking in and out both by requiring ongoing sign ins and by losing and reestablishing the signal.

Location was good for us. Most staff friendly.

The hotel was not as good as it was 2.5 years ago when I stayed. A little more tired and the beds were softer. Two guys started yelling & fighting outside the west lobby door at midnight on Saturday night, and I believe they were hotel guests. Upon checking out the front desk clerk did not ask how our stay was. Coffee was good, bagels would have been nice. Bathroom was tired, water stains.

Location. Close to Scotiabank place.

Noise from hallway and outside could be heard from inside the room.

Location good, Room was clean, well laid out - everything one would expect from a decent hotel.

Side door entrances lock from the inside with no card reader to enter. This means that it becomes necessary to go through the lobby to get back to your room. Side entrances are closer to the back parking lot....

Rooms were well kept, good repair, friendly staff, nice little breadfast Over all very pleased

Room size, request for a ground floor room near a door, made us feel welcome with our 2 dogs ...

Room charge for the dogs...having a hold put on funds for incidentals... Travel extensively and have never paid pet fee or had a hold placed when paying for room upon check in.

We stayed in room 415 the night of march 30th. We have already sent a review to the the manager of Days inn.We had to call 3 times during the night because of rude ,loud and vulgar language that awoke us and continued for around 2 hours during the night.Guests were fighting and swearing in the hallway outside our room and requests by us and other guests to be quiet were ignored.Calls to the front desk to do something were met with "what can we do,they will not be quiet"We had to travel in the morning to Stoney Creek Ontario and were very tired after expecting to feel refreshed for our long trip.We did not feel safe because these drunken people were out of control.These people ruined other guests stay and if this is the type of customer you want,we cannot be staying at this hotel again.We have come to Ottawa for other hockey games and always stayed at Best Western in the city.We wanted to be closer to the rink,but we made a big mistake staying here.Thankyou.Daniel Pynkoski.

duvet was too heavy and lightweight sheet was the only alternative lack of counterspace in the bathroom

They allowed our small dog which is appreciated and they did not give us a gross room. Also there is a really great pub/restaurant conveniently on site called the brew table. Location was extremely convenient to get to Scitiabank place.

The rooms were spotless and the beds, just beautiful.

There really wasn't a breakfast. The cereal dispensers hadn't been cleaned in a while and there wasn't a choice of a hot meal, other than an English muffin or toast -- which isn't very sustaining. A quick fix would be a clean-up with a hot pot of oatmeal, I think. In addition, the lighting was incredibly poor, given the high quality of the rooms.

Loved everything about the Days In Ottawa West. It was close to everything and everyone we wanted to see. Very nice for the cost.

Europeans: Do not expect "continental breakfast" as in Europe, this is mainly toasts with jam and coffee + orange juice.
