I liked that the manager was quick to react to my request to have a much cleaner connecting rooms than I received at check in. The room smelled good, the carpet was clean. The manager quickly fixed the mattress which was off the frame. The staff was quick to address our concerns. The room was newly renovated, comfortable. The mattress was a bit hard. The location of the hotel was good. It was close to restaurants and other amenities. Had I received these rooms at check in I probably would have been very satisfied with my choice.
The rooms we were given at check in were extremely dirty. The carpet was stained, not cleaned. The rooms had an unpleasant smell. The door to our adjoining room was full of pop splatter and there was pizza slices in one of the fridge. The sheets had hair on the mattress. I was ready to leave that hotel. We had a 10 month old child with us and I was certainly not going to let him crawl on the carpet or stay in the room. I was very disappointed with Days Inn. I do not think I will book this hotel again. I am not sure what I will get.
breakfast was awesome ,pool is great room was clean and comfortable
clean, friendly staff and close to amenities
was older, some shabbiness and loud in halls late at night...
contenental breakfast. staff were great
no elevaters, rusty bathrooms, no working fan in bathroom, foam chip pillows, hard beds.
The staff were helpful and friendly all the time and were there to help us find the best restaurants and shopping in the area. The pool was nice but seldom used and the hotel was right in the middle of everything we were doing in Sydney. The continental breakfasts were good and the coffee great.
We were looking for a place at the hotel where we could sit outside and have a few drinks with our group instead of lounging around in our rooms. There was a courtyard at the hotel that was fenced in like Fort Knox and rather inaccessible. We did manage to go out there but could not get back inside as the door locked behind us. This courtyard could be set up as an outdoor bar area with umbrellas and tables so it can be enjoyed by the guests of the hotel. A missed opportunity here I think.
The location is good: easily reachable, large parking, and close to Sydney center. The pool / fitness area is nice and open late (23:00), so very good for a late evening swim. Staff at reception was friendly
The hotel is showing its age. The bathroom was clean, but not particularly modern or nice. When I arrived, I was presented with a higher rate than I had booked for. This was corrected, but I had to point out the error.
The check in clerk used her initiative to upgrade us to a better room than the one assigned through the reservation without us asking for it. The breakfast was good especially the pancakes and the eggs. The hotel is well situated for starting a trip on the Cabot Trail or a visit to Louisbourg.
We waited more than 20 minutes for a taxi to take us to the airport for our departure flight even though we had asked for one to be booked the night before. Apparently, another guest had taken our taxi before we checked out at 4:15 a.m. A private or rented car is recommended as most of the well-known restaurants are not nearby.
pool and jucusce and location
nice clean room, had laundry facility.
The staff in the restaurant were very attentive.
The restarant meals at dinner were not very appetizing. There was also a strong odour of dampness in the guest room.
The staff were very friendly and offered much help. The pool area was great. The breakfast was much appreciated.
The pizza that we ordered went to the wrong hotel, front staff recommended it. They phoned several times to inquire about its whereabouts. We did get it for free
a bit noisy
When check in, found room uncleaned . Pillows thrown on bedwith now covers. Carpet around bed was soaked " with water " and mildew or mould... Very run down facility.
Allowed us to check in early. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
good hours for pool and gym beds were comfortable rooms were quiet
waffle bar removed
Having a fridge and air conditioner that worked!
Stayed 11 days and the door swipe keys never worked...went through 19 keys throughout my stay..beyond frustrating.... The rust in the bathtub.. Phone wire into the wall broken and kept falling out...Pillows were basically made out of cotton balls...went out and bought my own...and the dust on the furniture was disgusting. I eventually had to ask that the room get dusted after a week...
Very dated. Comforter had stains on it- tile in the bathroom was filthy. We didn't feel comfortable here at all. They told us our room wasn't available because they had a large group so they moved us to the basement. Hard to get to and from with luggage and an infant. Window did not open as well. Would not stay here again.
Location was good.
Room 149 extremely outdated. Remote didn't work on the very old tv. Bedspread had cigarette holes in it in spite of no smoking room, how old is that bedspread. Holes in blanket on bed. Carpets dirty. Lampshade dirty and rusty. Peeling wallpaper. Bathroom counter was avacado, how old was that. Tub has rust on it. Window seal either busted or window extremely dirty. Breakfast very limited and cold. Poor setup for seniors staying on first floor. We paid 93.50 plus tax to sleep in this room for one night. It was overpriced by 60 dollars. Would not recommend this Days Inn to anyone ever. The pictures on the internet showed updated rooms. Please don't continue to rent out rooms that are below standard and charge regular price. This room was not anywhere near what we are used to and we travel a lot and have stayed in many motels. Never again for a Days Inn anywhere.
Requested crib in room on arrival, easy late check in. Red room dinning simple and had good gluten free options. Pool open early and late.
Breakfast was not enough seating. Canned fruit was sugary and gross.
The hotel was fine but I wouldn't recommend it because it doesn't have a nice view of Sydney Harbour (or anything else).
cleanliness bathroom was dirty, Mouldy smell in the room. Room was in the basement. No elevators had to carry all of our luggage down two flights of stairs. Walls and carpet and toilet were dirty.
