welcoming check in and out. very nice young man. easy access to places we wanted to go.
small bathroom-difficult access , had to look for it
The staff were excellent, very efficient, and attentive. We loved the beautiful garden in the center of the grounds. The rooms have been updated, and ours was very generous sized! We had a good stay in Vancouver and would choose this hotel again!
The only disappointment for us was the breakfast selection--no protein. But, there's a McDonalds next door and a few other restaurants in the neighborhood.
Had a side door so I could get to the room easily. Handicap wooden ramp (not the best) got me down to the room.
1. Room in lower floor. Musty odor. Had to get Glade to mask odor. 2. Not Handicap friendly. I could not get to the dining room and paid for 3 people for two days. Stairs were the problem. 3. Had to ask for clean towels - housekeeping didn't change them when cleaning the room. 4. Bathrooms were small and difficult to maneuver in (again not handicap friendly)
location continental bkfst
Downtown location was handy for meeting up with friends/family. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Not set up to accommodate those with even mild disabilities, due to uneven thresholds - got to watch your step!
Location and parking space is all right.
Bathtub was extremely slippery and I fell. When I asked for a mat for the following day, they gave me a piece of cloth which made the tub even more slippery.
good coffee at McDonald's next door
dirty, small room, smell, toilet leaked... breakfast was a joke. husband uses cane and he could not walk down the stairs to get breakfast...very old building
The location was perfect as we were visiting relatives 6min drive away. The breakfast was an added bonus and ample for the start of a day. The rooms were made up every day and the staff helpful. Would recommend it for the price.
we had trouble with the key but someone always helped us when we made it known.
The internal garden
Price too high vs quality
Friendly staff Comfortable bed The breakfast room
The WiFi mostly didn't work It seemed relatively pricey for what it was (a place to stay without any trappings) The room lighting made it seem gloomy initially (but it turned out to be fine)
We only stayed for 2 nights, but it was what we wanted and convenient. Staff were very helpful re transport.
- convenient location - central garden was nice - air conditioning - clean room - small hotel
- wifi was spotty - no pool
Great helpful staff
Long way from centre city
The courtyard . Lots of restaurants nearby. Room was very clean
A bit noisy at times. No bathtub in room
On bus route to UBC, reception very helpful with directions and bus routes
breakfast helpfull staff, location
The facility was not clean, the room was not properly services just towels replaced. The plumbing was noisy, smoking designated zone should not be where non smokers are.
Room way too small for 4 persons
-unfriendly staff -breakfast= horrible. Nothing fresh, just Toast -very loud
Walk to sky train was reasonable as bus was crowded
No glasses in room
Gilmore was very nice at the front desk. The garden was nice but paying triple the price $200 a night for a $65 night for a ran down room was horrible. They don't wipe down doors ( visible substance smears in the bathroom) or vacuum under the beds. Would go closer to town for the kind of money
The crazy jacked up price
Personel was verry friendly
Clean, Beautiful flowers,
Room very small. Breakfast below average. Not a great location to get around Vancouver. Some of the staff not very friendly.
House keepers very friendly & great at tidying our room.
Breakfast.. 1 type of fruit & 6 baked treats so gone right away.
