It is hard to believe that this type of property is still in existence today, and even harder to believe that Wyndham would allow a franchisee to run this type of operation under its umbrella. From the malodorous rugs smelling of beer and urine, to the tattered curtains with holes in them, to the mold in the bathrooms, cracked bathroom fixtures and damaged old TV sets, pictures available, this was indeed a horrible experience. The first room assigned had an air conditioner truly noisy and perhaps above 90 decibels and therefore unsafe to one’s hearing. I was transferred to a second room with the same noisy air conditioner and tattered curtains, mould and dirty, dirty rug. I had booked via the net and specifically asked for a quiet room yet Claudio and Nellie at check-in acted as if nothing was wrong. Of course the Manager of the property was not available, although the Car Rental Agent took an interest in why I was seeking the Manager until he agreed under questioning he was not involved with the Front Desk. This property is a disgrace and I feel as if I have been taken, and my 150. room charge exclusive of tax was a winfall to the property owners. I now have doubts about the Wyndham Group of Hotels. This Inn’s Web Page is truly misleading. It is an unqualified Dump. I am giving Wyndham a chance to respond before posting my opinion and experience throughout the Internet. After 40 years in Management I am of the opinion that Mr. Conroy Lowrie needs remedial education in hospitality management, and it should be so noted by the property owners if they want to meet minimum hospitality standards of a worldwide hospitality group. The property owners are ultimately responsible and I acknowledge this is a Wyndham issue. Everything

Close to highways. There was problems from the first moment we checked into the hotel and it continued for our entire 4 day stay. The hotel is out dated and in need of serious upgrading. The staff made excuses for the problems but never resolved them and did not seem to care. The features they said they had were either not working or did not exist. It has to be the worst stay at a hotel in over 20 years. I would expect more from a brand name hotel, and staff that cared. At one point they were endangering the lives of guests and never did anything about it. You should not offer this hotel on your list of places to stay. It is not worth it at any cost. Don't go to this hotel!!!!

It was very close to the bus stop for the subway station which you could take to travel all around Toronto. The first thing that hits you is the smell of the room... Wasn't very pleasant. The staff were helpful, however... If you're arriving via Courtesy Shuttle or leaving for the airport via courtesy shuttle... Prepare to wait for at least an hour or more. The taxi service was absolutely horrid. Had I not left hours before my check in, I would have been extremely stressed. My departure time took over 2 hours where I sat in the lobby and waited for the taxi. My advice, just call a cab. Breakfast was very bland. Cereal, apples, juice and bread. Not much of a selection, although it was complimentary.

The hotel was very tired, filthy, and most of all disgusting! Our first room that was assigned to us was not yet cleaned! Beds unmade, empty cartons of beer cartons on the floor, and a very dirty bathroom! Was moved to a second room that was so hot 85 degrees and we could not get the air conditioner to work. Staff came up and was only able to get the fan to work! It was now 10:30 at night and we decided to stay put! Needless to say pulled back the covers and we found a used Kleenex in our sheets! How disgusting was that?? This hotel should be shut down until they know how to get their housekeeping staff to clean!! Certainly will not be booking this hotel again!! Very very disappointing after a very long flight!! B. Brockelmann!! Staff were friendly!

The only thing that kept me at this hotel was the bed itself and the room. The bed was clean, comfortable and the room itself was clean, otherwise, I would have moved to another hotel. The only way I figured out how to get close-to-hot water (still not hot!) in the shower was to actually run the hot water on full blast in the sink at the same time the shower ran. Otherwise the shower water with setting on hot was luke warm at best. The hotel was dingy, old and musty. I smelled smoke up on the 4th floor, like the rooms used to be smoking rooms, and now were heavily sprayed to not be smoking rooms, but the smell of cigarette smoke still prevailed. The carpeting in the hotel was old and dirty. The entire hotel needs a major over haul and upgrade. The location is not fabulous. If I had known about the location, I would have paid alittle more to stay in a better location. Overall, I would not go back there....even though it was the lowest price that I could find for 7 day stay.

They had a shuttle service to and from airport. The pool and spa area was nice but inconvenient to access from the room we had. Place was under construction. There was no place to eat. We walked to a shopping area to look for a place to eat but the area was sketchy so we returned to the hotel and ordered from a take-out with delivery. I would not reccommend this hotel.

The location was great and close to the facilities that we were using in Toronto. Me and my 2 older children barely slept because of the noise in the hall way, my one daughter also got bed bugs. The room we were in was outdated and definetly needed an upgrade. The staff wasn't acocmodating to our smoking request, or when we complained about the noise.

My main complain that the noise, it is too noisy you should do something about it for instance all young residents have them on one floor and people who are travelling for buisness in another floor.

We are traveling a lot and I’m not a usual complainer, but ……………. Extremely stinky room and corridor. Beddings look old or not cleaned properly. Pillows stinks. Windows and the frames where absolute disgrace. Dusty. We were very tired for a complaint that evening. We didn’t expect to pay for that? I hope you have only one room like that. SJ

It had a great location to commute accross different areas of Toronto. The staff were a nice team. There is no wifi Internet connection in the rooms as they claim as it is so weak that you cannot browse. Using the business center is an issue as there are 2 PCs of which one is not working at sometimes and the other is occupied by people playing on Facebook !!!! The breakfast is continental , but you'll be surprised to find only one plate of cheese for everybody which gets empty sometimes and u have to wait for them to fill it in order to eat. The corn flex is not fresh at all and the bagels are either several days old or these are the cheapest bagels on earth. Moreover, be prepared to carry your own bags as there is no bell boy. By the way, I booked a deluxe king room and totally different from what was expected. And we lost the hot water a couple of times during shower.

Hotel staff were very helpful. Location is good for Canada's Wonderland. No charge for parking. Our room was not very clean. We found a dirty sock on the floor near the bed. The paint and wallpaper were peeling off in the bathroom. The room next door had an alarm clock going off continuously--hotel staff took care of it but about 2 hours later! The price was right for a quick overnight stay but would not want to stay there again.

Continental breakfast was good and comparable with other hotels that I have stayed at. The room smelled as if it was a smoking room. The bed was very, very soft. Probably had not been replaced in 20 years. The curtains were broken. It was not possible to set the temperature in the room. The heat was either on or off. During the first night I had to switch it off because it became way too hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was possible to hear through the walls, i.e. no sound proofing.

“Excellent price. It's not luxury but I don't know why it should be 2 star. I would rate it as a good 3 star. Room was clean and stylish. Wireless internet, coffee, iron, cable tv, good heating, nice en-suite, adequate breakfast. And 10 mins from Bloor and Yonge.” Kieran, Vancouver |
