Extremely courteous staff. Comfortable room. Outstanding breakfast included in rate. The bathrooms have been renovated and are very nice and the room, which has yet to be done, seemed more dated due to the contrast. |

My son is at university in Montreal and I wanted to spend some time with him in the city. The location was great and the room very clean with a fresh modern design. The hotel breakfast was very good and the service was impeccable. I particularly liked the small balcony and the view from there. Highly recommended. |

I felt for the amount charged it was way over valued , the room needs complete redecorating the hallways were dirty and they had the water shut off from 11.00pm until 700am ; but did not make any adjustment to the price . We were suppose to stay 4 days but left after the 1st nite |

It had a nice breakfast and the room was spacious You cut off the electricity and made me walk up eight floors to my room. I find that treatment third rate. You should have given me my money back. |

We liked the morning breakfast. The dining room, table setting, service, and menu were very well done. We also liked the hotel's proximity to a metro station. The balcony was a mixed blessing. It was nice to be able to enjoy the view and fresh air. However, the downside is that if your adjoining neighbor uses the balcony as a place to smoke, your enjoyment comes to a smelly end. |

The included breakfast each morning was wonderful. We also liked being located right on top of a Metro stop. There was a lot of machinery sound and vibration above our room the first two nights of our stay (much worse the first night). It sounded like there had been a flood of some sort and they were drying / vacuuming. There seems to be a construction or machine shop above the 8th floor where sounds emanate throughout the day, starting at about 8 am. |

The location is excellent for walking as well as for using public transportation -- metro and bus right outside the door, as well as a taxi stand for our return to the airport. The included breakfasts were excellent -- well prepared and presented. We were able to park our rental car for a couple of days right under the hotel and use it whenever we wanted. |

Exceptional location.Unbeatable price.Almost many other things. No complaints-just suggestions-Duvets,please,or cotton bedcovers- polyester thing is repulsive. We stayed in similar hotels in Barcelona for quaqdruple the price, that had fabulous rooftop pool/patio,and little lounge area.It was a very small pool+if you could do that-I would.A very small gym-(not in basement)again is a big improvement that would add value. You have such a fabulous western exposure+across from the park!-why not have a few outdoor tables/.My husband would really have liked a small intimate bar, however associated or separate from restaurant, but cozy-a place to mingle with staff and other guests.Lastly,an option of Soy milk . |

The fact that I was staying in an educational facility and the focus of the students and their willingness to assist me with a couple of enquiries I had plus their assistance with my organisation of a train reservation. The guestroom I was allocated was very comfortable and had every thing except an in-room refrigerator and the unfilled ice bucket did not equate. |

Location: close to all major interesting places to visit. Nice view at 8th floor. Very, very noisy in summer. I suppose this was due to air conditionning. Impossible to sleep without earplugs. More over many works at 9th floor which began at 7h30. Breakfast nice but a little too light. |

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It was the staff that made this hotel. Pleasant, courteous, and attentive to your needs. From check in, to the restaurant staff, the concierge service, and to the housekeeping staff, they were all just perfect. The balcony was very nice to enjoy on a warm Montreal evening. You could not ask for better location, convienent to shopping, restaurants off site, and points of interest to visit in Montreal. No need for a car with the Sherbrooke Metro(public transit) station right there. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Montreal. I highly recommend the Hotel de L'Institut !!! |

I liked the spaciousness of the lobby and the room. I loved the view of the city out of our 8th floor window. Despite being booked, the hotel was very quiet at night- we hardly noticed other people. There was only 1 person working at the desk each time, so if there were 3 or 4 people in line it took a while. This person had to man the phone too! |

Very modern hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms and professional staff, great value for money. Good location with all major sights nearby Breakfast is somewhat confusing as you have to make a choice between the buffet or a la carte, you can't go for the buffet and order extra (and pay extra) for some items from the menu - not really flexible |

The personnel are all pleasant and the breakfast is really very good. I like that it is included in the price, and I appreciate that my 10 year old granddaughter was not charged the full price for her stay there with us. All 4 people in the family enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable and amenities just fine, although hair conditioned would have been appreciated. Problem with the parking--one has to get the ticket in advance but we didn't know that and had to pay extra by using a credit card to gain entry into the parking. Also, the walls and floors int he corridor are very dark and all carpets would benefit from replacement. (Our room had cigarette stains on the floor: very strange in a place that says it has no smoking!) |

the breakfast was excellent, the rooms had a private balcony and the staff was very nice. In total, an agreeable stay in a hotel to recommend! small negative point: one could hear the aircondition of the other rooms quite clearly even when switching off your own |

The hotel was modern, clean and in a terrific location. It really was great value. The fact the main floor washrooms were locked during the day on the weekend. |
