Excellent on site lounge - friendly, good service, great food. Great to have on site Starbucks. Room service was prompt, friendly and fresh and hot. Nice to have underground parking. Good location - easy access to shopping and river eLk. Lots of restaurants in the area. Good proximity to the Saffledome. Staff was accomodating with requests - late check out, luggage storage , concierge services. Would definitely use this property again.

The location was great. Very close to restaurants, bars, shopping and perhaps most importantly for me; the Stampede Ground. The bathroom was fairly tired looking.

When we had a problem with our room the staff rectified it right away. As well they were able to answer any questions we had as to directions and attractions around the city. Also the price from bookings.com was excellent. The first room we stayed in the bed squeaked terrible and the tv kept blacking out (no picture but sound) but as it was late we did not complain till next day. the problem was promptly taken care of. The food was a bit pricey, we had room service first night came quickly but not that tasty.

The bed was very comfortable. Also when we called the checkin desk and told them we needed towels to go to the pool they rushed up 2 cover ups and slippers so that we could go to the pool with our bathing suits on. This was nice. I also liked that they brought us a newspaper each day so we could keep up with the news. I did not like that there was no shower cap in my room.

Location and price were good for my purposes, staff were very helpful. The bed was good and the room quiet. Expensive restaurant. I left the premises for breakfast. Some of the dishes were okay value but others were terrible value. The decor is dark and stark. I really dislike the toilet rolls hidden under the vanity in the bathrooms, and always struggle to figure out the baht/shower faucet.

The Conscierge was very pleasant and helpful. I booked with the Delta Bow Valley since the web site mentioned mountain view rooms, but when we checked in I mentioned that to the lady at the front desk that I requested a mountain view room and she informed me they do not have mountain view rooms, and when I questioned having to pay for parking even though we were guests at that hotel she said that all hotels in downtown Calgary have to pay. It wasnt so much about having to pay, it was how she said it. I found the lady to be rude. Since the checkin desk is the second employee that guests are in contact with, I feel with the lady who checked us in is not representing the Delta Bow Valley in a positive way.

Very friendly and helpful staff, starbucks was a good choice. The parkade needs some upgrading, the room service prices are a little high. I could go to Toronto area and get better prices on room service items

The location and our room was terrific for a weekend in the city. The fact that wireless Internet access and parking were both an additional fee and not inclusive in the cost of being a guest I thought rather inconvenient and disappointing.

Nice Room, relaxing atmosphere Outside city noise can get pretty loud especially with a fire hall next door. Didn't like having to pay extra to park in their parkade should be included with room.

We enjoyed its central location and downtown location. It was reasonably priced and it had amenities such as pool, hot tub, fitness, underground parking. The only drawback is that the underground parking was filled to over capacity so if you came in late you had no parking spot. The hotel staff did warn us about the parking situation however.

The fireplace looked nice in the entrance and it was halfway updated but still looked old, door trim, ceiling very old... I found a filthy chair and some scum on the entrance of the bathroom door, the closet doors and even the shower curtain were dirty..they said they would upgrade me on the next two nights, guess the view and internet was the only upgrade...it was cleaner, the same type of room but very old. Some comforts but an old place. Not going there again. Parking in the basement was odd...very low and difficult to park in...very old.

“We had just finished our Rocky Mountainer Train trip and arrived in Calgary at about 10:30 pm ,the Sandman hotel was one of the ones they used so it"s great to have luggage delivered to the hotel. It made everything easier. It's also only about $10 by cab to the hotel. Our room was very large,so this was a pleasant surprise. Yes!!! I am very choosy about my accom. But I was very happy to stay there. Dt Brisbane Australia ” Deleraine, Brisbane |
