Location and outside patio.
typical chain hotel rooms were clean and quiet
set up of the hotel - long, strange walk to our room hard to get from underground parking to hotel hard to actually find my way back to the hotel in my car. i could see it from the road but couldn't figure out how to get there. very frustrating til i figured out i had to do a 'u-ie' to get in.
Staff, Food, Location
Terrible bathroom, Peeling Wallpaper, this Hotel needs a full Reno. Don't waste your money. We did that for you.
I didn't like the all the detours from the underground parking to main lobby. Very confusing and to distant.
Closeness to the Citidal etc
Location was good
Overpriced and outdated. Did not feel we received our value for what we spent.
i worked at the chateau halifax about 30 years ago - met my husband there - it's changed somewhat but still has that familiar and comfortable feel that it had all those years ago.
The view from the balcony
The price of parking above the cost of the room
Great location, right in the middle of downtown and close to great restaurants and to the water front.
AC on and off loudly all night.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
The staff here was soo helpful. Big thanks to Jaime , who really helped us with find cheap parking and drying out our tent
Clean, well located older hotel with very pleasant bar. Hotel staff were pleasant and the room was clean. The bar area was comfortable with a very good snack/light dinner menu. Good food.
The hotel, the staff all very helpful.
Great staff, great services. I was given some very helpful info and recommendations on where to go while I was in town.
Hm...the TV was a little fuzzy, but I didn't plan on watching it anyways.
Close to casino and waterfront.
We received, as an appreciation gift, 2 bottles of water with 2 chocolate square every night. This was ridiculous!
Close to boardwalk and restaurants.
No free parking
wonderful service at the restaurant and great, great food!
perfume smell in room
After upgrading to the suite the room was good. Downtown location is good. Scotia Square Mall is right upstairs, but half of it is closed on Sunday. Staff accomodated our requests quickly.
There are 2 Delta hotels downtown, Delta Barington(the one we wanted) and Delta Halifax (the one we got). Make sure you double check before you book which one you choose. I'm tired of hotel owners pitching that I have a "Premium Room" when it looks the same as every other Motel 6 with a better view. I'm not paying $100 more for a better view when the room is as big a Pepsi Can. We changed rooms right away. Because my wife booked through this site, Delta wouldn't update my Delta Club Rewards. There was no Toilet Paper in the first room we went into. Housekeeping was right outside and fixed it right away.
Enthusiastic, helpful staff A+ Nice view of harbour and especially good to view Natal Day fireworks. Good service in restaurant. Food okay. I would come again to this location.
Air conditioner immediately to the bed - very drafty and uncomfortable. No newspaper delivery in the morning. Extra parking charge. Include it in the price of the room.
Very expensive, when booked with booking.com total said 209.00 which we thought was final total, ended up being plus taxes. 268$ was not impressed, considering it did not include parking or breakfast. 209.00 was exceptable. Would not have booked for more
the king size bed was very comfortable. the room quiet and lots of room. very clean
shower bath fan was not working, and lobby lime water was very hard to get.
