Beds were very comfortable. Check in was efficient.
New carpeting in the hallways produced an overwhelmingly bad smell. No notice of this was mentioned. Lighting in the rooms was very poor with no desk lamp and low wattage bulbs in other lights. No directory to the hotel and services was provided. A very underwhelming and expensive experience. For the work that was being done I expected a better price.
The beds were clean
Very dated , rooms and public areas all need updated , overpriced . Poor quality breakfast . Some staff were helpful , some were not . Would no choose to stay again
Restaurant food very good. Looking out window from our 9th floor room and seeing boats on the St. Lawrence.
Building VERY DATED. Lots of construction outside on building. was told by several people that construction on outside should be completed by October 2014. I asked if then on inside...was told NO. Too bad. Really needs it. Wallpaper peeling off several places in our room. Needed to get up several times during night to stop toilet from constantly running. Dingy smell to room. Old dated... very tired looking hotel.
The room (8 floor) smelled so bad we could not stay. (A first for me) The smell of dirty carpet cheap air freshener and diesel. The hotel is doing renovations to the exterior but that is not why we moved. The room itself was dated, drab and very well worn. It had one or the smallest bath in high that I has ever seen. For $179 can. We felt like we were being robbed. We moved to the Suites Laviolette near the Laviolette bridge. We got a beautiful clean and well keep room with therapeutic bath in the room for less money, a bit out of downtown but a very nice hotel. They haven't credited my Visa yet
Staff very accommodating of my poor French.Nice place to come back to in the evenings.
- hotel with pleasantly furnished rooms near the old city center (hotel is more a business and conference hotel, but works also perfectly for pleasure travellers); - based on other travellers' recommendations, we asked for a room on the upper floors with view on the St. Laurence and got it; - very good buffet breakfast
