Days Inn is an old property in a great location. It offers good value for money, is clean and comfortable.
Furnishings are quite old and it is a bit noisy.
The location is excellent and many places of interest within reasonable walking distance. Great activities to watch if you are fortunate to stay in a harbour view room. The restaurant free breakfast plan is very flexible for various appetites. ALL the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. This was my first stay at this hotel and a solo traveller; felt very comfortable and will stay again for sure as well as recommend to others.
Courtesy staff good location
The room was clean, the sheets and pillows seemed new or newer, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for short stays or longer stays when you will only be sleeping in your room,
I was initially put off by the smell of beer and disinfectant in the lobby. However the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was polite and professional.
Convenient location and interesting harbour view.
Bed super comfy. Quiet. Nice dining room. Location walk to everything.
Location Free parking Professional and courteous staff Continental breakfast
Everything about the hotel is old and in need of updating--mattress, pillows, towels, carpets, room amenities
The proximity to the Coho dock.
The rooms are very small & compact but for one night they are fine .please include juice in your breakfast choices , that is surely not going to add up to millions of dollars over a year .
The location the staff the room the proximity to the BB Ferry the free Breakfast
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. Restaurant food was good.
Location was great, friendly and helpful staff. Continental breakfast was nice touch.
The inconsiderate guests slamming doors early morning and talking in hallways.
I have stayed here several times and each time have found the staff very helpful. This time the young lady if I remember correctly her name was Amanda on the front desk and a lady that looked after lost property went out of their way to help me find something. It makes such a difference to a hotel to have helpful, friendly staff. Thank you
Slamming of the doors
location- right at harbor close walk to lots of tourist sites.
our room was back corner poolside, dingy.
The location was great and the view was excellent. Fantastic value for the money.
Location, rate, restaurant, staff, and our room
Hall carpets needed a good cleaning and vacuuming.
view of the harbour was beautiful excellent sheets helpful friendly staff Excellent price for what you got
The location is what drew us there but we were pleasantly surprised that the facility is well looked after and updated sufficiently. We have stayed next door at the Grand Pacific with all the luxuries but for the price difference, if it's not a special occasion, I'd just as soon stay at the Day's Inn.
Friendly, convenient, good views, full English breakfast for $5, really good Ceasars and free parking.
Nothing comes to mind.
price, location, breakfast options, free parking on site.
room was very cold. They gave me a small heater which worked ok.
The manager upgraded us to a kitchenette suite with a stunning view of the harbor. (We hadn't even asked.) Free continental breakfast was also a nice surprise. Hot tub was very clean and welcome after our long cold walk. Off license conveniently on site, but pricey. Recommend buying a duty free bottle on way in. Super nice & helpful staff. Great location right across from the Clipper, with locked day storage. You can hear voices of folks leaving, but not bad.
I may never get the booking.com rate of $60 a night again. Can't afford regular rates. Room was cold, but at check-out, learned they had space heaters. Probably not usually a problem, it was unusually cold (-2) that weekend.
Bathrobes and view of the harbour
Bathroom could be cleaner
Everything. I enjoyed visiting the Empress for tea, but paying a much lower price for a room a short walk away that was better than the rooms my friends rented at the Empress.
What's not to like?
Restaurant service was very poor; seems like the waitresses were not assigned specific sections - as a result we had three different girls come to our table, ten minutes to have our order taken, and other patrons who arrived after us received their order before us. Go figure.
Although it was good we think a little more would have been nice. For example, coffee and juice included.
