Great location. Right on the harbour
We could walk to Imax from Days Inn. Also enjoyed the hot tub. The staff, from maid to reception to waiters and waitresses, were all super friendly and helpful.
Best possible location for a moderate price. Free parking is hard to find in the middle of everything! The staff are very friendly & helpful.
There was an unusual smell in our room. Did not smell dirty but did not like it.
Close to downtown
breakfast could have been a bit better quality
The breakfast was great with view of harbour. The unit was clean and comfortable and I was happy with the unit and service overall!
free wifi and free breakfast, location
Staff needs to be trained on guest service, I had to ask to sign regcard and told the guy that it is not possible to do a preauth on the debit card. The room was ok for one night, had a beetle in the bed but can tell that it was not a bug, I guess it's the season so not a big deal. Location is great and a free breakfast is nice to have.
Enjoyed the fact that I could convert the continental breakfast voucher for a credit toward any other meal the same day.
Not a big issue, but their heating system seems to make the rooms overly warm. Fortunately, windows do open to moderate that problem
clean, cosy, nice decor in lobby, good tv stations. fabulous location, very nice staff
room was just a tiny but too warm and hard to control temps to cool it down
Friendly & helpful staff, comfortable bed, and in-house restaurant.
Couldn't turn up the heat at night.
Location, location, location
Liked everything. No dislikes
Location Price Staff
Dated decor Kind of run down.
I couldn't turn up the heat at night.
Very comfortable and quiet rooms
Price, Location easy walking everywhere. View of the harbour from the room. Cleanliness Free breakfast. Free parking. Service.
This is an economy hotel with small rooms, very basic. We were looking for clean rooms at a low price. We got that plus, it is in an excellent location with harbour views, easy walk to the center of Victoria, with free parking. Would stay here again.
I would not consider these comments to be a bad experience but the room was small, the closet does not have a door and there is no mini fridge. This is not a problem at this price point.
Great location and nice view of the inner harbour. Very friendly staff.
Window latch broken so it could not be locked. No microwave or bar fridge. The "free" breakfast was inferior to other locations. Internet was sketchy, which is not unusual in an older property, so I always travel with an ethernet cable but there was no ethernet access point in the room.
Great location looking over the harbour and very close to town. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Very slow service in the dining room. Food was fine, but took forever to get service.
staff were nice
the room could have used a good cleaning dust was every where makes a person wonder about how clean the rooms are
Great price for the location and amenities offered!
No heater in the room.
staff great friendly food was good rooms where very nice and clean great location very good value for money we will be staying there again when we go to victoria
dust bunnies on the ceiling
The location and view from the front facing room were excellent.
There was no heat in the room for one of the two nights! It was the first of February so it felt like sleeping in a giant refrigerator. Staff were clearly annoyed that I even complained. I was told "technical difficulties happen to everyone." One of them even said, "at least one night was warm," as if that made it alright. Even at its modest price, a room with no heat in the dead of winter is utterly ridiculous and the staff clearly don't care about guest comfort.
The title says it all , value ,location , facilities , can't ask for more at the price level
Would have liked a small frig in the room.
This hotel is perfect for a visit to Victoria. It's a short walk to everything around the downtown and a quick drive to the rest. It's got a great restaurant and a pub attached and ample parking for its visitors.
Some of the rooms seem a bit dated and the smell of smoke lingers from years past. But they are renovating the rooms and parts of the hotel to update and modernize the rooms.
