The rooms are clean,a bit small. It is an older hotel But all you really need is a clean, quiet place to sleep,Days in gives you that. We had a room at the back of the hotel, just above the pool, and at night it was very quiet. I think the hotel was having trouble with HiFi, as logging on was an issue, and the I couldn't send any messages while we were there. The restaurant is good for breakfast. Service was friendly and fast and it had lots of healthy options to choose from.we were in Vitoria thanksgiving, and the restaurant even had a decent turkey dinner. If returning to do the marathon, I would definitely stay at the Days Inn. Great location.
Couldn't even stay there. Place is "well used". Stains on the hallway carpets. Room, although clean, had a distinct odour. The door to the fire escape was propped open and obviously used for a clandestine smoking area. Staff were friendly. The convenience of the location can't be beat.
Old and tired
He is excellent. Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. (His supervisor, also named Mike seemed like a great guy as well.) Ihad every confidence that he would make our stay enjoyable, and he did.
Good clean rooms
No air conditioning, elevator scary, barking and whining dog next door
Close to everything.
Bathroom tile was moldy should clean it up. No air vent in Bathroom that is the problem for the mold
This location is excellent for walking to any place of interest in downtown Victoria. There's also convenient parking making it easy to come and go in the city and on the island. It has a good restaurant that includes a patio overlooking the harbour. We had a water view so that made it extra special .
Basic cleaning was good but there were some big stains on the carpet which I think could be cleared before the next guest .
Friendly, good service and location,
bathroom was noisy, could hear next door neighbour but it was no big deal.
Great location on the inner harbor, within walking distance of many attractions. Second floor room had a decent view of the harbor for the price (you just have to overlook the ugly roof just outside the window).
Don't go on a Wed night, unless you appreciate loud music from the lounge downstairs filling the entire second floor (at least) - doing "Musical Bingo" until 10 pm, with a loud bass beat for an hour or so after. Lounge and liquor store on the bottom floor made hotel feel kind of sleazy.
right across the street from the Port Angeles/Victoria ferry line which made it easy for us since we had left our car in Washington. Very friendly and helpful staff, easy check in check out, was pleased that there were a microwave and a small fridge in the room (that hadn't been listed in the description)
Was very surprised that it did not have air conditioning. Fortunately it was cool enough that by using the fan in the room and leaving the window open, it was comfortable enough. I'm not sure how it would be in the summer months, though.
The Location, staff and convenience to all of the downtown core is perfect!!! The pub and food was very good....
Although the bed was very comfortable the we had a great sleep the rooms need a fresh paint and the carpets definately have seen better days. This was the second time we were here with in 3 months and both times we were without ice the first day. That is important to us..
The location was good.
The room had bed bugs. They had no idea how to deal with it. They changed the room but our things had already been infested. They took no responsibility for the bugs now in our luggage and clothes. I will never sleep here again.
location and staff
was a cool night but despite window wide open and heat turned off, the room was still very warm. Also internet reception was extremely extremely slow....so was cel reception for BBM.
Location. Price. Staff
Breakfast was not included
Ideal location. Free parking. Harbor view
If you are coming in on the Clipper this is the place. Reasonable price and 1 block away. Overlooks harbor. Great bar and restaurant (the local hangout for dancing, mature, two-steppers) Very comfortable. Great staff. They store your luggage if you have the late ferry.
The bar area. First class breakfast
Right on the harbour near all the action. No driving needed and free parking.
Hotel showing it's age and a little tired, but ok for the price in that area.
Location was nice
Room was a bit dirty. Bathroom was old
Reasonably City Central. 10 min walk to the main roads.
The room had this awful musty smell which we couldn't get rid of even after having the window wide open for ages.
we enjoyed the location and and harbour view, and swimming pool availability, but accsess to pool itself was impossible for seniors as there were no steps leading into pool.
.television was not working and even after changing remote, could not get news channel as signal was not strong enough as indicated on screen.toiletwasplugged.parkingspace not available,at 10pm.
Location is fabulous and the price is certainly right.
Housekeeping could certainly be improved. Hallways were unvacuumed as well as our room for the 4 days of our stay. Our room was not cleaned other than the beds being made and towels changed. No air conditioning and very noisy. The whole building is tired and could use lots of work.
Location was great, central
noisy, room too small, doors banging at night, walls are thin u can hear your neighbours , we couldn't sleep the first night, there was a party next door, when I complained about the noise front lady was rude, non sympathetic. The pool looks great in the picture , in person very disappointing, hotel desperately needs upgrade, rug in the corridors needs shampoo very dirty
location, the view of harbour
