Haydon was very helpful and suggested local attractions. The location was perfect, walking distance to parking, subway and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Delicious self-service breakfast. Hayden (the manager) was very nice and friendly! Location is great, close to subway, restaurants, stores.... Comfortable and clean room.
Very friendly hosts and tasteful breakfast
I found the host very welcoming and really like the atmosphere of the place.
Staff welcome and friendliness, value for money, help yourself breakfast, snacks throughout the day. Location. Cleanliness
Nothing...no negative comments.
First, the host was very humorous and nice. Second, if you like to cook for yourself, you must to stay here.
Open concept, staff very welcoming. Very clean facilities- bed very comfortable
Need 'to-go' cups for coffee & tea!!!
Hayden was great! The facilities were clean and comfortable. We felt welcome and could ask Hayen anything about Toronto. Also a very short walk to the train station (although cabs roam the streets at all times). The keypad lock was great for getting in and out without disturbing other guests.
location, kindness and hospitality of the staff (Hayden), arrangement of bedrooms and common room, full choice for a self prepared breakfast
Good breakfasts, excellent location
Kitchen a bit haphazard (no bowls one day)
The breakfast is delicious The staff is friendly
Very cozy Great breakfast Amazing location
It would be nice to have one other bathroom, even if just a half bath
the location, the comfortable room, the price, and the manager...James was very nice
rooms not exactly sound proof, I could hear people walking through the hallways and talking, parking is not great although it wasn't a real problem for me given my handicap placard
Clean room, good bed, nice staff and good breakfast
The room is too small
Great service, very welcoming host; and amazing facility; perfect location. I love the home-feeling the owner gives to the place. You won't regret.
Parking is not the easiest think in Toronto. Have a plan, research, or take your time to find the best options.
Quiet and cozy place, very clean. The room was small, but well-suited for a good night sleep. The host is very nice. Location is perfect - close to shopping, restaurants.
Nothing really, internet was somewhat slow, but that's about it.
Great rooms, location and staff. Also a good breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Sharing bathrooms may be an issue for some. Did not bother us.
The rooms, living room, bathrooms, etc. were all very clean, attractive and comfortable. I never waited for the bathroom and could not hear the other guests at night. We had wonderful conversations with the guests and hosts. The location is fantastic with a short walk to the subway and many places to eat nearby. I would return in a heartbeat.
The breakfast is adequate, but not exciting. Bagels and breads from the freezer, cereals, fruit, eggs, yogurt, Folgers coffee...the same things one finds at home. I appreciate not wasting food and keeping cost down, but it was a disappointment.
The location, close to so much...shopping, food, entertainment, public transportation. And GREAT eclectic area! And James is an awesome host. Very helpful, personable, fun to chat with :) I'll be recommending this place to everyone.
The bed wasn't very comfortable, felt like an older mattress. But such a small price to pay, what with everything else being AWESOME.
very nice, homelike stay ...
no parking next to B&B, have to find it around ...
The home atmosphere, at breakfast you can sit at one table with people from 5 different countries, chat with them, share your experiences. The district is remarkable and unusual.
There is a cafe next door. So, it can be very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights.
Perfect for one night stay at end of Canada two week tour prior to flying.
There really wasn't anything wrong but just keep in mind its an older house so its pretty compact.
Location and staff.
Was sent the wrong entry code for the door the first time and was briefly locked out upon arrival late at night. Rooms were also a bit difficult to control the temp. Overall minor quibbles.
I had the Camellia room, which was very airy, comfortable and clean. The shared bathroom was very clean well-maintained. The location was decent, especially with respect to the University.
Where were the proprietors? I never saw them once. I was on business so it mattered very little, but there was no one on hand to ask for recommendations or advice. For example, I left on a Sunday morning and didn't know if I should go out to get a cab or call ahead. Breakfast was stale.
Everything was great!
