Location Very nice and Helpful staff Breakfast included Clean
Carpet must be changed and there was a bad smell in the room Phone and hair dryer were not working To get up to get the breakfast was stressfull
friendly staff location free wifi
washroom due to very close proximity of the bars/restaurants, was hard to get a good night sleep because of outside noise, i.e. cars honking, loud/drunken people
the employee at the desk was very friendly, he was always smiling and made us laugh, decent breakfast
the location to the subway is about a 15 minute walk which we didn't enjoy
Very inexpensive, and certainly adequate given what was paid per night. Friendly and helpful staff. Not luxury by any means, but gave me exactly what I needed. Having my own bathroom was nice and important. Great location: Close to bus station, a subway station, and restaurants.
Could hear some things from the street/downtown later at night. Somewhat older, but functional.
WIFI strength was very weak. Breakfast was just Croissant and Jam. No choice.
The room and inner facility are fine.
Towel was what I do miss. Wifi was extremely slow.
It really is the perfect location, right in the Latin Quarter, near the bus station and subways. Many places are walkable. It is not fancy and new, but everyting was clean and pleasant.
Nothing in particular.
Excellent location for the Latin quarter, lots of bars and eating places, also very close to coach station with metro in walking distance.
At times wifi hit and miss, many homless people out on the streets.
Excellent location, very near to long distance bus terminal, is a metro interchange which links you to whichever line you want. Staff is friendly. The hotel offers simple croissant breakfast which is good to start the day
Some bulbs doesn't work but that doesn't affect much.
It's a block from Sherbrooke, a couple blocks from subway and regional bus terminal plus all of Rue St. Denis. Perfect location. Very quiet esp on such a raucous street
Single room: comfortable full bed occupies 90% of the room. No desk or chair and only overhead light. Bathroom has small and raspy towels and low water pressure and so cramped an average person has to sit sideways on the toilet. Breakfast is a croissant and juice and coffee/tea which you must take to your room as there is no common dining area. But if you want an ideal location and cheap rent this is a good place, just steps from everything R. Repohl
Staff was very friendly and then Location is very nice.
Great location Breakfast included
They didn't clean our room even though we stayed for 2 nights.
the continental breakfast was quite good, usually a choice of warm croissant and/or muffin, orange juice and coffee or tea, taken in one's room.
Cleanliness suspect. as, even worse, were the electrics. The hair dryer did not work but the case was broken and cracked anyway. (Sorry, earlier submitted review for the wrong hotel as I had booked several)
This is a good place to stay if you like to be on a happening street in Montreal, full of life, with restaurants and brew pubs, and a few late-night clubs. It was not as sleazy as we'd first feared, after reading some other reviews, but if you don't like a neighbourhood with a little character, then don't stay here. The rooms were nothing special, but what do you expect for 50 or 60 bucks? We were there in the second week of September, and the room was comfortable, but may get pretty hot in the summer.
No jacuzzi in the room.
You can't expect more than this for $50 a night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy and clean. There's a TV with basic cable. The location is spectacular, right in the heart of Quartier Latin and minutes away from Old Montreal and Chinatown. It's also about 5 minutes walking from Sherbrooke Station. I dug it. Paid very little and got more than I was expecting. Ousmane (and all the other receptionists) are very sweet.
Wifi was up and down. But, not terribly.bad.
Had trouble getting on to Wi-Fi Payment for Parking
Very quiet, nice staff and good location!
Breakfast wasnt too good...
The location can't be beat. Staff very nice. It was clean, safe, private and excellent value for the money. It was a perfect upgrade from a youth hostel for this group of young men. If you are looking for a place to sleep while you explore Montreal this is it!
A little warm. A fan would have been nice. Water pressure quite low. But...not a problem if you don't let it be.
Lovely staff, amazing location :)
The staff was very helpful and were quick to fix any issues we had The room, for the price, was fine. The beds were surprisingly amazing, probably one of the best we've ever slept in. The continental breakfast was super - huge muffins (almost too big), croissants, coffee and juice. The location is PERFECT! Just on the lower end of St Denis street with tons of restaurants and pubs. There are 2 different subway stations just a 5 minute walk away. Parking garage just around the corner.
The rooms themselves are a bit old and small but, for the price, are fine. The place has a "summer camp" feel with lots of wood walls and ceilings. We were shown 5 different rooms before we picked ours and almost all had sinks separate from the bathroom which is nice. I'd stay again.
Good Value for money and great location
