The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Catherine on reception is a star. Use of kitchen utilities was very convenient for us.
The noise levels from the traffic on the main road at the front of the hotel are pretty bad, particularly if you are a light sleeper.
Quebec City is an exciting place. Lots to see and do. Our hotel was very well situated out of the hustle of downtown but close enough to all attractions.
All the construction on many downtown streets, hard to find your way.
It was quite nice to be able to hit up local watering holes on the way to and fro the old city. Being near a Metro was also a plus, as it saved us a loony or twoony, giving us more shrapnel for our meager pockets. Being a young/poor couple we had to hoof it our entire stay to pull a Gangnam Style pwrso a in the old city...didn't venture much else but to procure some smokes from the local bodega while the missus was tuckered out
The front desk clerks were so friendly and knowledgeable! The room was clean if a little small. Bus stop to old Quebec just across the street. And great coffee for the morning! So glad we stayed here rather than in old quebec!
Very friendly receptionist with a lot of good recommendations. Lots of restaurants around (Burger at Le Fin Gourmet!). Very comfortable beds. Laundry room! Simple but good breakfast.
No elevator, all luggage has to be carried along the stairs. Stench of chlorated water (very special for entire Quebec).
Very clean and spacious rooms. Our room included a kitchenette. Staff was helpful. Breakfast is included but very basic with toast, bagels and cornflakes. Parking is included.
Its a bit far off the city centre. You need to take the bus.
Being able to open the window. Very helpful clerk at the front desk. Good-sized room, quiet.
Smell of chlorine in the lobby, probably from the swimming pool.
If you're the kind of traveller that just needs a good clean comfortable hotel to put your head down at night then this is great. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. I didn't use the pool but it looked good and the breakfast was nice as well.
It's a bit more than a 15 minute walk to downtown but certainly nothing that would distract from our stay.
Very friendly person at reception
We got a room on 3rd floor and there was no elevator. If I knew it in advance I had chosen some other place. On top, the only soft drinks machine was in the basement. Luckily the front officer had change...
The location is excellent only 10 minutes away from most tourist attractions driving. The staff are very helpful.
No fridge bar in the room and poor WiFi in the 3rd floor.
small room, thin walls, noisy, very limited breakfast
The hotel is in a pretty good location if you have a car. The staff is very kind and nice. The rooms are clean. Wi-fi for free. Parking for free. If you get a room facing the street, than is an exhibition for the walkers on the street your activities in the room.
The rooms have no closets or wardrobes. We had to change our room with one which has a closet. Is pretty weird to dress from the suitcase. The Staff was nice enough to change our room. The rooms are very small. The A/C is very noisy. If you do not have your own shower gel, than you are in big trouble, because they are not replacing the toiletries. We opened the soap, which was provided by the hotel, to be able to wash our hands, the next day disappeared, but was not replaced, we had to wash our hands with the shower gel. The stairs are a nightmare as well to climb them up and down with luggage. Nowhere is written, but when you are doing the check out they are keeping a 100 CAD for warranty. This is not fair at all, especially is not mentioned anywhere. When I asked the clerk, she said that is a problem of booking.com, though I think is an issue of the management they are not mentioning this on their add on the website. I want to see when will be released the 100 CAD.
Staff very helpful and breakfast room was nice.
Room air conditioner didn't work well. Room very small. Stairs, no elevator.
Too far out of the city
Hotel is close to Old Quebec and reasonable,
Location is not the best, but has some stores and low end restaurants near by.
Friendly staff, comfy bed. Nice breakfast.
The room was reeeeeeally small, which I felt wasn't as it was shown in the pictures.
The pool was OK and so were the beds.
The lobby was shabby and drab. Our room even more so! We were below ground level with high windows looking out to the parking lot....tire level! There was even a person INSIDE a large garage bin right outside our window..... I say no more.
very very clean location good not to be in hub of city if that is what you would like
beds were hard probably not good location if travelling with small kids-better to be closer to city
no information about restaurants in the area, no shuttle provided to old city
Bus stop in front of the hotel and the free parking.
Rooms were not ready at 6.30 pm because not enough staff. Rooms really small. Poor clealiness of the room and the breakfast room. The pool is in a basememt without windows were it is 40 degrees celsius and no changing room so you have to go back to your room wet in the towel ! Breakfast is badly organised and too little choice of food. Not worth the price !
Close to the city cetre
There is no lift for upper floors. Dificult for elderly people currying suitcases to upper floor.
Very good hotel, nice staff
We were very happy with how friendly and happy the staff were. The location was great, as it was only about an 8 minute cab ride to Old Quebec City,
Everyone we dealt with behind the desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. the room was large, clean and quiet and the location was very walkable - our family walked to old Quebec every day through St. Roch, which is quite a funky area.
The pool water turned our children's blond hair green - very chlorinated, I guess. Also the breakfast room was a madhouse no matter what time we seemed to go. Total chaos.
clean, good location, great staff, free parking, free breakfast, salt water pool
