The house and rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Everything was extremely clean. I can't wIt to visit again!
Are second stay at Duncaster House and again a excellent experience. We do like the coupon to the local restaurant for a breakfast of your choice, just around the corner. Would defiantly stay again.
Loved the location and the accommodations. Great place to stay.I haven't stayed in a B&B in awhile, this was perfect. Very quiet and private.
If you are particular about your pillow, take your own. Great bed and sheets, but puffy pillows. Too puffy for me. Wish they had a feather option.
Hostess Debra was always available and knowledgeable about the area. Upstairs room was comfortable and private. Home is immaculate. Complimentary option of breakfast at site or at lovely cafe around the corner was appreciated.
beautiful interior decor. great location. accommodating owner (we could leave our bikes in her garage without asking)
minimal personal contact with the owner and other guests. no hooks, hangers in bathroom for towels (essential) and in our bedroom.
Breakfast. And the room was lovely. Enjoyed our short time with our hostess Deborah. And our host made us popcorn. Thanks so much.
Clean, location to downtown was ok Breakfast was great Friendly and tried to please
Queen bed needs replacement Define space that client can use beyond room ie. outside porch??
Wonderful B&B, Great location and wonderful owners. Hope I get the opportunity to stay again.
Lovely home owners are wonderful and very welcoming
Location easy to find, good neighborhood to walk around in etc. Room was pleasant, however the add said bathroom adjacent to room, however it was downstairs and not very convenient to use during the night etc. however it was well supplied.
Only caters to 'coffee' drinkers, tea drinkers need a kettle/boiling water etc, not tea thru a coffee maker. Breakfast was either a voucher for local restaurant or a small (about 2 tablespoons) of granola, a container of yogurt and a large bowl of fresh fruit (fine if you like fresh fruit @ breakfast), and a single mug of tea made thru a coffee machine. Would it hurt to have a tea pot etc made properly? Also neither the host/hostess introduced themselves, pleasant but never did know how to address them (I did ask the name of the woman the 2nd day).
Suite of two bedrooms were perfect for two couples to share. Continental breakfast was lovely. Debra was a welcoming host.
super clean -> new construction? good access to historic district and hwy to Toronto etc.
this is not a historic building (if you are looking for this)
Everything about our stay was wonderful. I have stayed in several B&B's. This was by far the nicest! It was exceptionally clean and well kept. We stayed in the two bedroom suite downstairs, it was very private and felt like we had our own apartment. Breakfast was wonderful each morning with special treats from the Willow Bakery, all tailored to our dietary restrictions. Thank you Debra for being there to greet us at check in and making our trip a successful adventure!!
I am trying to think of something that could have been better about this place and I am coming up with nothing. Very cozy and comfortable.
Everything. House was amazing and Debra was very helpful and friendly.
Debra was a very nice owner and we really enjoyed our first visit to this area. The house was very clean, modern, nicely decorated, and we enjoyed our breakfast on the beautifully landscaped deck. Debra was also very helpful with advice on where to eat, where to visit, etc. The breakfast at the Red Rooster Inn (because we were leaving early one day and so were given a gift certificate from Debra) was very good and an excellent value. More food than we could eat.
The upstairs room with the downstairs bathroom was a bit warm and hard to cool. The fan in the sleeping room helped and there was an additional fan we could have pulled out for the T.V. room, but we didn't bother. Unlike a hotel room, you can't control the temperature yourself. It was a very pleasant walk to to the heart of notl, but it did take us close to 30 minutes to do so.
Very friendly staff and clean place.
Overall look and feel of the property. Wonderful hostess and first class service.
Nothing to dislike.
This is a truley amazing house - hospitality , locality and comfort all as good as it gets ......
I like everyting here! Just BOOK!! Now! You will never regret!! The host was really nice and the house was just awsome! We could use not only first floor but also second floor. THere is a bathroom on the first floor and there are livingroom and bedroom on the second floor. It's very private and comfortable! The bedroom was amazingly beautiful. I could experience really canadian life.
Beautiful Modern home
No breakfast was served. Given chit to go to a restaurant that paid for a partial breakfast. I so-called ensuite included a bathroom that was a full staircase downstairs.
Roomy well appointed. Beautiful home.
We were surprised that the room we reserved was described as being on the main floor, but actually in the basement. Not a problem for us, but could be for someone with mobility issues.
We stayed in the beautifully-decorated 2-bedroom basement suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and included a massage chair, Keurig coffee/tea and use of a full fridge. We had the choice of a restaurant coupon for breakfast, but chose to have the more-than-sufficient continental breakfast on the lovely deck in the garden.
Everything was great! Zoom bike rentals and my favorite bakery, willow cakes, are right around the corner.
Atmosphere and hospitality
There are no sites of interest in walking distance. Downtown is quaint but a 20 minute walk.
