Very central location to downtwon Toronto. Very friendly staff. Kids love the swimming pool.
Everything was close and convenient to the Hotel area.
that there were no grip bars to get in and out of the shower.
Nice bed and good breakfast.
The hotel is undergoing renovation in early 2015. Some disruption ongoing.
it was fixed promptly Kiddie play area is much appreciated. Dependable service.
sink drain was not working noisy construction
Very comfortable bed. Good choice of restaurants on-site. Good location with in and out parking privileges.
The room was too hot and the temperature could not be controlled even though there were controls on the wall. We slept with the windows open which was noisy and just made the heater and fan turn on. The decor was dated and the carpeting was worn and dirty looking.
Very clean. In the heart of downtown
No free parking. Its a bit expensive. $29 a night
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt like home especially the second day in the amazing Bistro. Breakfast was delicious and so fresh, and the staff remembered our breakfast drink preferences. Lovely atmosphere with just the right mix of elegance and comfort. Love the plant waterfall.
Friendly and helpful employees, generally, but see Monarch's Pub commentary hereafter.
Monarch's pub made us wait 15 minutes, ignoring us, causing us to go offsite. Told front desk twice - nothing aside from an apology. Won't eat on site now.
Musicians at restaurant on lobby level ( blues). Finally ,kind of breakfast like in the most hotels in Europe ( no more "continental breakfast").
Our grandson escaped from swimming pool on 27th floor. He could react in different way if kids pool was open.
The price was fantastic, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
Room service tray left outside our room for 2 days. A lot of dead bugs on the light in the bathroom
Staff were excellent Location excellent
Difficulty negotiating getting to the 27th floor....many stairs and steep, confusing leaving the floor. Carpets and chairs in the room had many stains There was garbage in the elevators on two occasions
I liked the upgrade to a king sized bed. I loved the bathroom vanity (new).
Breakfast was very expensive.
Location, front desk staff
Kids pool was closed again! So lots of loud kids in the adult pool
the desk staff tried to accommodate on check-in. The housekeeping staff found a piece of jewellery we left behind Sunday morning and when we returned a 1/2 hour later they handed it to us, bagged with the room # and date. It was so nice and so honest.
room to cold Sat night. Room did not have an extra blanket. Partying neighbours woke us up 3 times between 12:30am and 2am. The second time I dialled zero and spoke with Comms. They advised the pub had closed and people were retiring for the night - I said it was quite rowdier than people retiring for the night. After the third time I called again and later security came and asked them to be quiet. They were quieter then, but given their inconsiderate behaviour it's ironic that I ended up feeling like I was being difficult or unreasonable. The noise was in the hall with open door and continued for quite some time. It was like you awoke with people yelling at your bedside.
desk staff tried to be accommodating unknown housekeeping staff sunday morning saved my valuable necklace for me - bagged and room # id'd - we came back within half an hour and I was so impressed with their honesty and efficiency as well as their conscientiousness.
no extra blanket in room & it was cold on Sat night Attitude of comms when called on issue of noise level in hall - "it's just people from the pub retiring for the evening" (people retiring aren't that loud and numerous) - asked me to call security - made me feel I was unreasonable and demanding. We were woken 3 times within 2 hours by a number of people interacting at top decibel right outside out door. I was extremely surprised no one else complained - but perhaps we were in the only occupied rooms on Floor 24. I felt like the drunks were herded into the suite next door instead of into taxis. It seemed to be a matter of course for staff though. As a result we were late and disorganized the next morning and I nearly lost an expensive piece of jewellery
the noise of the other rooms but the manager did help
Traveled with another couple, and had a wonderful time. Hotel had great location, enjoyed Sunday breakfast at the hotel...........with the location and the price we paid, it proved to be a terrific value
Cannot think of a thing
The fitness area was great.
I did not like walking up the cheesy stairs to the fitness area.
The location and the restaurant
Variety and quality of food was very good.
Moved from first room because it smelled strongly of smoke. Leaving in the morning the entire corridor smelled strongly of cigarettes. Non-smoking policy seems to be widely ignored.
hotel was expensive for 3.5 and there was so much dirt from construction but the rooms werent even rennovated
Even thou the Hotel is going thru renovations if offers great value, great location.
pool and comfy bed, cafe
couldn't get PBS channel on TV
Friendly staffs. The breakfast wraps with eggs and ham was delicious .
